From The Time I First Met You

 A nice warm spring afternoon at a tony restaurant in town....

''So I understand you've been busy Lee." said Ms. Yvette.

"I have...On your advice..I took and passed the New Jersey Bar, The Deleware Bar and The New York Bar recently.." said Lee Phillips.

"Good for you...Good For You! That means you can practice in multiple jurisdictions...I made my niece ,Beverly, Nelson, who had already passed the New York and Pennsylvania Bar exams when I met him.. Jasmine, Josie and Bresha do the same thing after they passed the bar.... They've taken the Texas,Louisiana and California Bar exams too...You never know where you may be called to practice law...So I'm happy for you." said Olivia.

"I did the same thing for Keith, Beatrice, Sofia and Kahlil after they started working for me...Like Olivia said You never know where you may be called to practice law...So I'm happy for you too." said

Ms. Yvette...on her rare day off and her rare afternoon out with close friends.

"I've passed the New York, Deleware and New Jersey Bar exams myself.."said Nina Rios.

The four women enjoyed the wines that were being served...while laughing and talking on this beautiful slightly overcast, but warm spring afternoon.

But while that was going on....another drama was unfolding a few seats away...

"From the time I first Met you , I haven't been able to get you out of my mind." said  Curtis Jessperson,

wealthy hedge fund manager.

"Curtis, I-I never knew you felt this way about me...My divorce will be final soon...Then perhaps we can possibly explore a -ah a relationship of some sort... I expect to get half of my husband's company...the one you just bought in the settlement." said Catherine Hutchinson.

"I can't wait....I have to have you today...now,"he said.

They began kissing passionately...

"OHHHHHHHH CURTIS PLEASE!!! OUUUUUUU!" moaned Catherine as they continued to kiss....

He reached his hand up under her skirt and softly rubbed her panties...

"CURTIS PLEASE..WE ARE IN PUBLIC!" she said, pulling her skirt down..

Neither of them realized they were being photographed....

While not far away...

"So what's going on with you Vettie???...It's kind of quiet around our way since our last case.."said Olivia.

"My kids are working with Zoey and Lem this week on a big divorce case.....

It involves a very very well heeled couple . The man owns a large multi-national company that was just bought out by a Hedge Fund Operation....The wife wants half of what is left of his earnings...It's really nasty and to make it worse...Guess who the opposing attorney is?" asked Yvette..

"This sounds like a Brenda Jordan case."laughed Olivia.

Both Yvette and Olivia had worked with and opposite of Attorney Brenda Jordan, and both maintained a friendly and cordial relationship with her..

"Yes it is..She is opposing counsel.. I told them to prepare well and to look out for surprises...Surprises Brenda is good for throwing.. They've been holding their own against her so far...It's been almost two weeks now this litigation has been going on..

They're in a building not too far from here....This might very well wind up in a courtroom soon if they can't negotiate somerthing." said Yvette..

"I wish them luck." laughed Olivia.

"Get this...H.Stanley Stanlison is representing the wife.."said Yvette.

Speaking of the former Judge, now Attorney...

"What a sleazeball...I didn't like him when he was a Judge." said Nina.

"He's always on the wrong side of seemingly every case."laughed Olivia.

"I know right?" laughed Yvette...

"Oh Lest I forget....Saturday Afternoon...we've cleared it with our building for us all to have our first rooftop party..Of course you're all invited." said Lee..

"Oh Yes..I forgot to mention that."laughed Nina.

"Ohhh Nice...You know we'll be there.." said Olivia.

''Ditto...We'll be there too!"said Ms. Yvette.

And Back at our building

in our cafeteria.

"Bev, Josie, Nelson, Bree...So glad you guys came today....We have great news...Lee and Nina told us they cleared it with their  building and this Saturday...if the weather is willing..We will have a rooftop party on the roof of our old building." said Bee Bee.

"OHHHHH YAYYYY!  I can't wait....I heard you guys are in the middle of a serious litigation." said Beverly.

"Yeah and it features some of our old friends....Brenda Jordan and H. Stanley Stanlison."laughed Nelson.

"Yeah it's pretty prickly....Brenda is not so bad...but H.Stanley Stanlison..."said Sofia.

"I know....Always on the wrong side of everything."said Josie.

"Thaty's alright...by Saturday your case may be over and even if it's not...That'll be a time to relax and let go." said Paris.

"Paris is right...Relax and let go...I think we all can do that." said Bresha.

"A Rooftop party on your old building's roof..I'm down for that."said Tony.

"We didn't know you or Bree the last time we had one, but it was lit." I said.

"All of our rooftop parties were lit..Weren't they Jade?" laughed Kahlil.

"Yes indeed." said Jade.

 

"This will be a first for a lot of us." said Jazzy.
 

"I for one am looking forward to it.Plus it's not that far from home."laughed Dabnis.

"Me too! and for the same reasons." said Kayla.

"We'll have music, plenty of food, drinks  and dancing."said Ray.

"How Romantic...A Rooftop party." laughed Jessica.

"Is there any activity this group doesn't take part in?"laughed her husband, Chip.

"I don't know...but I like the ones we do take part in." said Karen.

"Ditto!" said B.L.

"Sounds like it's going to be a nice time." said Natalie..

"Yeah...a rooftop party."said David.

"I can't wait." said Brooke.

"Never been to one before..."said Sean.

"Just like any other party, except it's on the rooftop of apartment buildings...By then I hope our case will be settled." said Zoey.

"Oh it'll be settled by then...."said Lem.

"Lee, Nina and I are working out the logistics." said Renee.

"I knew you'd be involved...You like things like that." said her husband, Tyrell.

Carlos just laughed.

Halfway Across Town in the interior of a Rittenhouse Square House.

"Catherine, you were a no show at the negotiations today."said her estranged husband, Warren

Hutchinson.

"It was just a lot of posturing by the attorneys...I didn't feel I needed to be there for that." said Catherine.

"Of Course Not...Because all you care about is the payout you may get from our divorce..." snarled

Warren Huitchinson.

"That's not true..That's not true....I've been your wife for ten years, almost eleven..Pennsylvania is a community property state... I am entitled to 50% of your gross." said Catherine.

"Your Hedgefund Homeboy Boyfriend bought my company up and destroyed it...The Company my father and my uncle built from scratch...gone and I may get only a third of the worth ,for which you'll take half...Unbelievable......I've got one thing to tell you....Stay away from Curtis Jessperson...He is Satan...He has no soul...He only wants to get you in bed...and to steal my money..He's no good for you." said Warren.

"There is nothing going on between Curtis Jessperson and me...What are you talking about?" asked Catherine.

"Save it Catherine." he said and then showed her photos.

Ms. Jade had snapped the photos of his wife and Jessperson...

She angrilly thought about the four of us...

"Your four attorneys look like they just graduated from high school... Like a year ago they were just going to first base in a car.." she said dismissively...

"Well, they're very much adults...They're married, homeowners and very very seasoned attorneys.. They're from one of the most storied firms in the city- MCCLUSKEY/COZEN/CONNOR AND PRATT

and they're giving your attorney, Brenda Jordan..

all she can ask for....and my other attorneys, Zoey Easter and her husband, Lem are two of the best divorce attorneys money can buy...

They aren't intimidated by your attorney H.Stanley Stanlison..

at all..." he said.

Catherine stared balefully at her soon to be ex-husband.

"Stay away from Jessperson...He's bad news."said her husband, walking away from her and exiting out the door.

The Next Day-

Ms. Yvette was in the conference room downtown with us....

 

 She wanted to see how the case was going... Not that she didn't have faith in us...but this was a big case, a major case involving McCluskey/Cozen/Connor and Pratt and she wanted to make sure we were representing the law firm well.  Which we were...

Zoey and her husband, Lem were holding up their end...

Representing our client in his divorce...

Our Client, Warren Hutchinson sat smug and confident in us, his attorneys....

Our Friend and Sometimes Adversary, Attorney Brenda Jordan sat with her client, 

Attorney and Hedge Fund Manager, Curtis Jesperson, who was part of the conglomerate that had bought our client's company and was liquidating the funds....

He slyly slipped his hand up Brenda's dress...

and rubbed her butt softly...

"Mmmmmmmmmmmm Brenda , from the time I first met you....I've wanted you, you know that don't you?" he whispered in her ear...

She removed his hand and pulled her skirt back down.....

She gave him the serious side eye....

"Are you serious? We are in the middle of a serious litigation...Remove your hands and quit with the tired lines." she said.

Just then, Our client's wife , who was arguing for divorce and an equal settlement of the money walked in with her lawyer...

H.Stanley Stanlison...

Another man was with them....A Sinister looking man in a suit...

He brought a look of fear to Katherine Hutchingson...His name was Jack Collins, a major investor in her husband's business and a friend of her husband's father.. He was promised a cut of the businesses profits before Jespersen's Hedge Fund  group liquidated the company,leaving him with virtually nothing.. He was quite pissed.. He had called Katherine several times...She had not returned a call.  He had spoken to

Warren, who told him he was fighting the entire thing  and had some "great attorneys " working for him.

He was impressed with what we had been doing so far...but was furious with Katherine.

"It's Jack Collins!" whispered Katherine Hutchinson to Curt Jesperson..

''Don't worry about him baby....He has no need to even be here. He has nothing." said Curt Jesperson.

The day was over Ms. Yvette treated us to the same restaurant she Olivia, Lee and Nina were in yesterday...

"Ms. Yvette , this is sooo nice...I'm surprised I never knew this was here." said Bee Bee.

"Me too!" said Sofia.

"Nina actually told me about this place....I was here yesterday with Olivia, Lee and her.....You guys did a great job today....Knowing Brenda like I know her...She's going to put an offer on the table for far less than she was asking... Great Job guys. I'm proud of you." said Ms. Yvette.

"I sense an end to all of this..and soon..." I said.

"Jesperson cut too many corners and pulled a lot of shady stuff... He may have no choice but to turn

our client's company back over to him." said Kahlil.

"Katherine Hutchinson will get her divorce, but she won't get the money she expected..." said Jade.

"Thanks to you Jade and the great investigation you did." said Jade.

"I must admit...I didn't expect this case to be as open and shut as it turned out to be...but we all worked well together." said Lem...

"Heyyyyyy I knew you guys would pull this out....Your client is quite happy!" said Yvette.

We all raised our glasses to a toast...Victory was near...We could smell it!

It was like yesterday, a beautiful balmy spring afternoon.

Halfway Across Town in the interior of a Rittenhouse Square House.

"Things aren't looking good Curt...That Attorney you said who was such a heavy hitter is having her ass handed to her by those four kids...We are about to lose it all...."said Katherine.

"Your Divorce lawyer isn't doing so hot either...." said Curt Jessperson...

"That's your fault....Your horny toad...You couldn't control your hands..running your hands up my skirt and kissing me like that in public... I thought we agreed to be discreet until after the hearings were over." said Katherine.

"I'm sorry, I-I couldn't help myself...You're just so...so attractive....From the time I first Met you , I haven't been able to get you out of my mind." said Curtis Jessperson..

"Oh My God Curtis." said Katherine...

"Ouuuuuuu what am I going to do with you?" she said ,laughing as she kissed him slowly and softly...

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, anything you want to do." he said.

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!" she moaned..

They continued kissing...

He unsnapped her bra..

and slipped her panties down...

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH CURTIS!  OHHHHHHH!" she moaned...

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she moaned as Curtis entered Katherine's warm and wet center...

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH CURTIS!" she moaned.

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW....OHHHHHHHHHHH KATHERINE!" he cried out..

"OHHHHHHHHHHH I FEEL GUILTY, BUT THIS FEELS SO GOOOD!! UMMMMMMMMPH!"she moaned.

"DON'T FIGHT THE FEELIN BABY!" he moaned....

They made sweet love for the next EIGHT TO NINE HOURS..... falling asleep in each others 

arms afterword..

Neither of them knew someone else was in the house...

Neither of them saw the gun aimed at their heads that fired repeatedly.....killing them both!

IV-

"Geez, they didn't know what hit them." said one Crime Scene investigator surveying the grisly scene the next morning...

A Crime Scene Investigator snapped photos of the two on the living room couch in a pool of blood.

"They both received two gunshots to the head....ouuu this is nasty...." said Dr. Hazel Baylor..

"Looks like him and the missus were getting busy..."said one detective...

"I hope they at least finished before they got it."said another detective....which was met with laughter by the Crime Scene Investigators and the other detectives...

"You guys need to grow up " said Dr. Marcy Martin.,shaking her head... 

"Looks like they've been dead about four hours." she said, taking body temperature..

Lt. Tragg was wearing Latex Booties and Latex Gloves...He found the man's trousers and went through the wallet....

"His Drivers license says he's Curtis Jesperson...He's an Attorney, works for a Hedge Fund Concern.." he said.

He rifled through the woman's poacketbook...

"This aint this woman's husband. She lives here, He doesn't...Her name is Catherine Hutchinson...." he said.

He looked around.... He saw a gun lying on the floor..

"Whoa, Look here.....and it's still warm....Charlie....Bag this and tag this." he said.  "Interview everyone in the neighborhood...Scrub the Street Cams....The works and girls I want the autopsy report ASAP on this one.  Let's get these bodies out of here." he commanded.

The Body of Curtis Jessperson

and Mrs. Catherine Hutchinson  were put in plastic body bags and strapped to gurneys and wheeled out...

Lt. Tragg looked up at the sky...

"This never gets easy." he sighed.

WHILE DOWNTOWN AT OUR HEARING-

"I can't believe this...Curtis should have been here...It's two hours now...Is he trying to lose this thing?" said Brenda Jordan.

 

 "Looks like our adversaries are a little nervous." Ms. Yvette whispered to me..

"Something is off about this...Jesperson is two hours late and once again, Katherine Hutchinson is a no show." I said.

"Has anybody called either one of them?" asked Bee Bee.

"I'm certain both Brenda and H.Stanley Stanlison have put in calls to them both." said Sofia.

"They are both two hours late...I don't think they are coming." said Kahlil.

"This is strange...It's been two hours.." said Jade.

"They've been fooling around for a few months now...I wonder if they had a late night tryst and overslept?" said our client, Warren Hutchinson...

"This is insane, I've called Katherine 26 times over the past two hours and texted her and she hasn't answered...That's not like her at all." said H. Stanley Stanlison.

He put his phone away....

"This is not like Katherine....Today was the most important day of the hearing." said Lem.,

"I don't understand....Yesterday she was excited about being here today...It's going on one hour and a half."said Zoey.

The mysterious Jack Collins stood silently in the conference room without saying a word.. As if  he knew something we all didn't.
