THE OFFICE OF ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY DON GIORGIO-

He was livid upon hearing the news that Murder Suspect Erica Taylor had been arraigned and released on her own recognizance..

He looked up the attorneys he would be facing..

"They are all PENN graduates and all hand picked by Yvette Jones-Lockwood..wow!  And they all seem to have extensive trial experience....Well, Well, Well." he snarled.

He seemed to be obsessed with this case....Especially since he had struck out with Kelly Ann a few nights ago.

He hadn't seen her in a couple of days since their night out...He wondered about her..How she was doing..

Erica Taylor was up and riding with us on the train ride to work..

"I can't believe all of you guys live on the same street and all work in the same building...WOW!" said Erica.

 

 "That's all a recent thing, but we've all known each other for years and worked together."explained  Yvette,.

I was noticing something else..  "I think Wendell stayed over last night...Look at her..She's got the most serene look on her face I've ever seen."I said.

"That Kiss...That was definitely a bedroom kiss." said Bee Bee giggling..

"That was a "please come back later " kiss."laughed Sofia.

"Ole Wendell is not such a nerd after all."laughed  Kahlil.

"No he's not!"laughed Jade.

"She certainly looks satisfied. Looks like we've misjudged him all these years."laughed Virginia.

"Yeaaaah, that kiss she laid on him last night was a "Please come back in a few hours Kiss."laughed Jetty. 

Jazzy cracked up laughing...She was sitting on her husband's lap...

"We had a good night last night too, didn't we sweetie?" she said.
 

"Yes indeed! I'd like another good night like last night." said a very happy Dabnis.

"We had a nice night too ,didn't we baby?" asked Kayla to her husband Ray...She was sitting on his lap.

"We sure did and I hope we have some more like last night."said a smiling Ray.

Jessica was sitting on her husband's lap just swooning..

Chip looked so satisfied......

"You look well rested, among other things."said Karen slyly...

"Oh My Goddddd I am." said Erica, smiling at her double good fortune, getting set free in Night Court last night and her wonderful night with Wendell. She was enjoying her ride on the train to work with all of us..

Natalie cracked up laughing...She was sitting on her husband's lap...

"We had a good night last night didn't we?" she said.

"Yes indeed...I can't wait until tonight for a replay."said David.

Brooke took her index finger and rubbed it across Sean's lips.

"Last night was wonderful." she cooed.

"I hope we have many many more." said Sean.

"Ouuuuu these warm Winter nights snuggled up at home...Nothing is better huh?" said Zoey...

"Nothing at all." agreed her husband, Lem.

"I'm almost sorry we have to go to work. I didn't want to get out of bed..."said Renee..

"I knowwwwww right? Neither did I." said Tyrell..

"I think everybody was getting it on last night huh?" said Tony..

"Well we certainly weren't out drinking."said Paris.

We all filed into our building 

and then had a hot breakfast in our cafeteria  and then

Off to our offices for the days work.

II-

In our conference room we got down to business..

"The police have an eyewitness who saw you leaving the deceased residence, just minutes after the estimated time of death..." said Ms. Yvette.

"He was dead when I got there....He called me...He wanted to meet with me about several investors who were talking about jumping ship...He told me that he didn't want to name who the ringleader of the revolt was over the phone...He said he'd rather see me face to face... I drove over there....When I arrived.,.His place was uncharactoristically dark.,....I rang the doorbell, but the door was open...I walked

in and there he was on the floor, shot to death....I immediately turned and got the hell out of there. Once I got back to my loft...I called the police and reported the shooting...I didn't kill him...I swear....I had no reason to." said  Erica Taylor.

"Okay...your phone shows the call you and Monty Weisman had...It was a twenty minute call and your GPS tracks you there to his residence..... The police have your thumb and forefinger print on the door and your fingerprint on the coffee table."said Jade.

"I don't deny being there...but I didn't kill him and I don't own a gun...His phone was on the coffee table..I was going to call the police with it a first, then I thought better of it Guess it didn't make a difference, huh?"said Erica.

"No it did not! We are going to need more than that....Can you think of anybody who would benefit from you losing him as an investor?" I asked..

"And meanwhile....This a phone for you...Commonly known as a Burner phone...." said Sofia ,passing her a phone.

"Write this number down....Don't call our business phones anymore or our personal phones....You contact us with this phone only...It's clean..We change the sim every three days and it's untraceable." said Sofia.

"And this is a portal...You can get daily updates from us on your case from Olivia's place...You won't have to come here daily, unless we send for you...You can stay with them and know the progress we are making on your case." said Bee Bee.

"Wowwwww you guys think of everything." said Erica.

"That's why we win cases.....Now the task before us is to establish an alibi...." said Kahlil.

"I'm going to study Street cam footage and track every visitor he had that afternoon...Whoever killed him...Killed him in between the time you two had a phone conversation and your arrival...It had to be someone who knew you were coming." said Jade.

" Or Somebody WHO WANTED YOU TO COME THERE !!!!And that's where we are right now." said Yvette.

And at HOMICIDE this very minute...

"Her phone records indicate a twenty minute phone conversation between Ms. Taylor and Monty Weismen...He was her chief investor in her Fresh Water Fish farm...She and her staff grew and breeded Talipia and Swai fish for sale. The GPS on her phone tracks her travel from her loft ,cross town to his..

She claims he was dead when she arrived...Our eyewitness saw her fleeing his loft and we traced the phone call made to 911 to her place... This is very foggy sir.. I don't like her for this."said Detective Sgt. Brice.

"What other suspect do you have?   Go back to Weismen's residence ....Take some CSI guys ,give it another once over...get me something." said ADA Don Giorgio....

And at the Marina, near Penns Landing..

Kelly Ann stood with Lt. Tragg as he waited for the Marine Boat that would take him out upon the river.

She had packed him a lunch pail with hot sandwiches from the sandwich shoppe in her area

and a thermos full of hot coffee..

His clothes were washed and dried and clean as was he after a hot shower last night and one this morning.  He felt rejuvenated....

"Thank you Kelly Ann for everything." he said smiling..

"You're welcome....Thank you for everything too!  Stop by tonight when you get off..." she said.

They kissed very passionately......

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm Arthur." she cooed.

"Kelly Annnnnnnnnn, awwwwwwwwwwww" he moaned.

"I'll see you tonight when you get off." she said.

"YESSSSSSSSSS!" he moaned.

Her lipstick smudge was on his shirt lapel as well as the side of his face. He didn't care!

Everyone could tell by the cleanliness of his clothing, the lunch and the coffee that he had gotten laid the night before and had gotten some tender loving care..

He smiled. Something he hadn't been doing lately....He couldn't wait until this time next week when this was over.

III-

That night we all had dinner at Olivia and Beverly's house.

Erica was there and so was her guest Wendell....

"This is a beautiful place you have here Olivia...And Dinner was delicious." said Erica.

''And thank you for inviting me and allowing me to stay as well Olivia."said Wendell. 

"Thank you and not a problem Wendell..You've been an excellent trial witness for us  for years...I had been meaning to have you over for dinner for a long time." said Olivia.

 

"That Bed in that sub-basement can tell some stories eh Shortcake?" Donnie Ray whispered to Beverly.

"Who you telling? Some marriages were spawned in that Bed." whispered Beverly giggling, thinking about David and Natalie, Renee and Tyrell, Her own Mother and Rockland, to name a few.

"What are you two whispering and giggling about?" asked her husband, Nelson..

"Oh Nothing, Nothing. I'll tell you later."laughed Beverly...

"Always Nice to have so many guests for dinner." said Josie, who was used to just her ,Bresha and Alfreda's husbands joining them..

"Yeah it is nice." said Paris.

"Well there's enough food for everybody." said Bresha.

"Meaning there will be no leftovers."said her husband, Tony.

"That's good because we'll be out tomorrow and Friday Night." said Alfreda.

"Yeah that's right." said Rockland. 

 "Erica , you and Wendell are welcome to join us tomorrow night at Curley's...It's couple's night...Each couple gets two free drinks for each two they buy." said Yvette.

"Ouuuu that sounds like fun...but Curley's is so far away from here...It's halfway across town." said Erica.

"Don't worry...We got two mini buses that transfers all of us  from here to Curley's..We meet in front of our homes after work...and they bring us home.. Oliia owns the buses...This way we can drink as much as we want and don't have to worry about driving home."said Yvette's husband Gary.

''And Friday Night, after work we all meet at the No I.D. Bar, right across the street from where we work." I said.,

"It's the same deal..The Buses transport us there and back to our homes."said Bee Bee.

"Sounds like fun..Count me In." said Erica.

"Yeah, I'm in too!" said Wendell... He had been an expert witness for both us and Olivia's group many times in the past... 

A Nice fellow...but we always thought of him as a nerd...Guess we all had misjudged him.

"Saturday Mornings we return to the No I.D. Bar for Brunch..."said Sofia.

"It's a good time."said Kahlil.

"You know...I'm on trial for my life...and you guys are giving me the time of my life....I'm almost enjoying all of this." laughed Erica.

"Anything is better than being in Valhalla.."laughed Jade.

"Amen to that."said Danny.

"You're free on bail with no electronic monitoring device, which means no curfew...You couldn't ask for any better situation." said Virginia.

" Except she's still under indictment for murder." said Jetty.

"Correct!" said Erica, laughing.

We all were home after a night out at Josie's.

After we all got home that night..We were all settled down with our significant others.. What better way to spend nice night out than to be making love.?

Bee Bee was wearing another sheer see through Baby doll.....She had just taken a hot shower and walked into our bedroom..

At Ms. Yvette and Gary's house

"We are just having Breakfast..We aren't even discussing the case... Just two old friends from New York having breakfast." he said.

"This just doesn't look prudent...I'm glad none of the defense attorneys are in here."said Kelly Ann.

"And what you do with Lt. Arthur Tragg , who often brings in the case in your courtroom is prudent?" he said.

"That has never had anything to do with how I've ruled in these cases....Never...And in five out of six there were acquittals."said Kelly Ann.

"Which brings me to my point..He's a boob...He Rarely if ever brings in a good case...He's the laughing stock of the department...What are you doing with him??...Even now he's serving a punishment by being on the Marine Boat."said Don Giorgio.

"He believes you had something to do with that..."said Kelly Ann.

ADA Giorgio smirked.. He wiped his mouth with his napkin... "He told you that?" he asked smiling.

"Yes, he told me last night in bed!!!" she said.   She finished her food, placed some money at the table and got up..

"I'll see you in court counselor." she said with a devilish smile on her face as she walked away.

"IN BED??" he said 

He hadn't known she'd been in contact with Lt. Tragg...He especially didn't know he had been spending the night with her....He banged his hand on the table..He was livid!

CURLEY'S BAR- COUPLES NIGHT

As usual, the drinks were flowing....and we all had our regular seats....

"This is sooo nice...I never knew they did this." said Erica.

"I always thought this was a cop bar." said Wendell.

 

 "It kinda is...but on "Couples Night" we turn this into a lawyers bar."laughed Yvette.

"Yeah we take over the place."said Gary..

I whispered to Bee Bee.  ''Wendell and her huh?  They look like they're a thing." I said.

"Who would have thought it? There is more to Wendell than meets the eye." laughed Bee Bee.

"He's staying with her in that sub-basement."said Sofia.

"That bed can tell some stories I bet." laughed Kahlil.

"Some of our friends marriages were spawned in that sub-basement."laughed Jade.

"You guys are something else."laughed her husband, Danny Ho.

"I know you and I had some times in that sub-basement."said Virginia.

"Yes Lawd.."said her husband, Jetty.

"Another couples night eh?" said Nina Rios, who had joined us tonight...She and her boyfriend, Carlos had driven up from their condo.

"Did Nina tell you we are moving in together and we are looking at a place in your area?" said Carlos.

"Ouuuu how nice..You've got to let me know where and when...We'll give you a house warming party.." said Olivia.

 

"Our neighborhood is growing." said Donnie Ray..

Another conversation was going on amongst Olivia's other staff members..

''Wendell and Erica huh?  They look like they're a thing."said Beverly.

"I can't believe it...I never knew he had it in him."laughed her husband, Nelson.

"He doesn't spend his entire life in laboratories and libraries."said Josie.

"Especially Not this week anyway." laughed Paris.

Bresha cracked up laughing...

So did her husband, Tony.....

"That girl has put something on him...You should see him when he comes up for breakfast, just swooning..."said Alfreda...

"That's how I look every morning after I've spent the night with you."said Rockland.
