PENNS LANDING!
 

A Quaint little coffee shop a few blocks from our building...MOCHA JOE'S ,Ms. Yvette and I were picking up a coffee and pastry order for our office meeting...

"Mmmmmmmm smell that aroma Keith...Doesn't it smell great in here? I love Mocha Joe's " gushed Ms. Yvette.

I had to admit...It did smell good."Yes it does." I said.

"Vettie, what are you doing here?" came the surprising voice of Lt. Tragg. He was in jeans and rain boots...Not his usual immaculate attire.

Ms. Yvette was just as surprised...Lt. Tragg still had no idea that we worked just blocks from here, she played it off

"This is the best coffee shop in the city I'm told and they have the best pastries... Just thought we'd stop in here and place an order before we went to work.What are YOU doing here?" she asked with a smile.

He was embarrassed.."Uh ruh...I'm on the uh Marine Boat for two weeks...This Jack Ass new Prosecutor, He didn't even try the case ,complained to the brass that I screwed up the case and thus I'm on Marine Boat Duty for two weeks."  said Lt. Tragg.

In Reality , It was DA Garcetti, His son Chris Garcetti and ADA Diorgio who complained to the Deputy of Operations about Lt. Tragg's incompetance in the Jenkins case.

"A New ADA  huh?" said Yvette...Glad he was off of what she was doing here.

"His name is Diorgio,Donald Diorgio...He's from New York." said Lt. Tragg..

"Ohhh that guy!" I said pointing to him and Lt. Tragg's current girlfriend, Judge, Kelly Ann Mercer entering the coffee shop.

Lt. Tragg hit the ceiling!

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!" he blurted out angrilly..

"Relax...I don't live too far from here... I'm trying a case in Judge Mercer's court tomorrow and I thought I would treat her to what I've been told is the best coffee in Philly,,," said ADA Diorgio with a smirk...

''Yes Arthur this was simply a harmless meeting between two old friends....What are you doing here?"asked Kelly Ann.

"I'm grabbing some coffees and doughnuts and bagels for the Captain and the guys on the ship."said Lt. Tragg.

"That's a switch for you isn't it? You're used to some patrolman fetching coffee for you and now you're fetching coffee huh?" said ADA Diorgio with a smirk.

"YOU THINK YOU'RE FUNNY EH? I'LL KNOCK THAT SMIRK OFF YOUR FACE PAL!" said Lt. Tragg..

"OH YEAH? TRY IT PAL?" said ADA Diorgio...

"BOYS! BOYS PLEASE!" said Judge Kelly Ann, coming between them...

By now Ms. Yvette and I had our order and had left...heading safely back to our building and our conference room..

Once in the conference room, Ms. Yvette laid the pastries and Doughnuts and Bagels out on our conference room table and we all sat down..

We were celebrating the anniversary of Ms. Jade getting her citizenship and joining us. Ms. Yvette had us all laughing..

 

 "Oh My God...They were both getting ready to square off right there... I used the time to pay for our order and for me and Keith to get the hell out of there."said Ms. Yvette.

''So our secret location is still safe." I laughed.

"So it appears the good Lieutenant has some competition for Judge Kelly Ann huh?" said Bee Bee.

"My Money is on the Lieutenant...When he's with her..He's different...less abrasive, less unhinged."said Sofia.

"I figured somebody would make a move on her sooner or later..She is a good looking woman and let's face it...Lt. Tragg is a boob!" said Kahlil.

Jade spit her coffee out laughing......

Ms. Virginia laughed too!

 

 "That Notwithstanding....The reason we are all here is you Jade...You have your citizenship and you've been a valuable member of our team...Thank you for all you do!" said Ms. Yvette.

"Here Here!" I said.

"Thank you Ms. Jade." said Bee Bee.

"Thank you Jade, love you." said Sofia.

"Thank you Jade."said Kahlil.

"Thank you all, I love you too!  You're my family." said Jade.

"We love and appreciate you too honey." said Virginia, hugging her.

Meanwhile on the Marine Boat....

An Angry Lt. Tragg

pours some Irish Whiskey

into his coffee... and ponders whether ADA Diorgio is making a play for his woman, Judge Kelly Ann Mercer.

II-

A few days later , we all gathered in our conference room to talk to our new client..Erica Taylor..,owner of a "Fish Farm." A Fresh Water residence where Talapia and Swai fish were bred for sale to grocery store, supermarkets and fisheries...

"Thank you for meeting with me...My Father was Marine Biologist Dr. Cecil Taylor... I studied Marine Biology at Southern Florida University... I began my business in 2017...I purchased Fresh Water residences and began breeding Tilapia and Swai and selling them to Grocery Outlets, Supermarkets and Fisheries..  Initially I attracted a lot of investors...It allowed me to pay off my student loans and the morgtage on the land I purchased to breed my fish...We were doing good until last year....A large percentage of mercury was found in some of my fish....I don't know how, but I suspect industrial sabotage and two people died after having eaten my fish... I've been sued...I need you to represent me.

Also..One of my largest investors, a Millionaire named Monty Weisman has threatened to pull out.. If that happens...a lot of investors who came with him will leave.,..That will bankrupt me.." said Erica Taylor. 

 "Oh My, you really do need our help...Well First thing we'll have to inspect your freshwater farm or facility...." said Yvette.

"And we'll have to take a scientist with us." I said.

"I know somebody...I'll contact him." said Bee Bee.

"This ought to be interesting..like a field trip." said Sofia.

"Yeah, a field trip." said Kahlil.

"Hmmmmmm, I'll look into her business." said Jade.

"Virginia, you want to come along tomorrow?" asked Ms. Yvette.

"Sure...Thanks! " said Virginia ,grateful to be allowed to come along and be a part of the group. No longer an attorney, but more than just the office manager....She was a consultant...She was grateful for the chance to still use her legal training somewhat..

"Thank you guys!"said Erica.

THE OFFICE OF ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY DON GIORGIO

Judge Kelly Ann Mercer walked into the office of ADA Don Giorgio.

"Well hello Don...This is a very nice office." said Kelly Ann.

"Not as spacious as yours your honor!" said Don Giorgio....

"So!  I am here...What is it that you wanted?" asked Kelly Ann....

"Well I just finished a successful case in your courtroom..You haven't seen my condo....It's down near Penns Landing....I'll cook you dinner....I'm a very good cook." he said.

"Oh my....Well uh I could use a home cooked meal and you are near the train station....I could go home from there."said Kelly Ann..

"Nonsense....I could drive you home after dinner." said Don Giorgio....

"Oh Okay....it's a date then.."laughed Kelly Ann.

That night at dinner in our building's modern cafeteria....

"Any of you guys ever eat Talapia? "I asked..

"Or Swai?" asked Bee Bee.

 

"I used to love Talapia...but it's been awhile since I've had some."said Jazzy.
 

"Yeah same here."said her husband. Dabnis.

"Why? You guys having a fish fry?"laughed Kayla.

"I'm down if you are."laughed her husband, Ray

"No, we have a client, who owns Fresh water farms...She breeds Talapia and Swai." said Sofia.

"Aren't those man made fish?" asked Jessica.

"They aren't man made..but they are breeded by humans.." said her husband, Chip.

"That's right...you won't find them in the ocean....They are breeded by humans in Fresh water  facilities." said Kahlil.

''What I know about them is they are cheap....Restaurants love them." said Karen..

"When you order fried fish or a fried fish sandwich at Sam Mother's Diner...You're eating Swai"said Natalie.

"I knew that." said Jazzy.

"Yeah I knew it too!"said Kayla.

"But what about Talapia?" asked David.,

"Well you can buy it at most markets...it's very cheap..." said Brooke..

"But filling as fish go."said Sean...

"All this  talk about fish is tempting me to fry up some this weekend."laughed Zoey....

"Ouuuuuuuuu would you?" laughed her husband, Lem.

"You're going out to the fishery I expect....You may need the assistance of Wendell...Wendell Lewis." said Renee.

"That's who I'm calling tonight, to go along with us." said Bee Bee.

"He's a good choice.. A bit of a nerd , but a good scientist...I've seen him testify in numerous trials."said Tyrell.

"Yeah, I've used him before myself." said Tony...

"Your case sounds interesting."said Paris.

"Oh it is." I said.

III-

That night-

We had all come home after a night at Curleys.  Some us drunk or tipsy, all of us horny as hell. We were all settled down with our significant others.. What better way to spend a warm fall night than to be making love.?

Bee Bee was wearing another sheer see through Baby doll.....She had just taken a hot shower and walked into our bedroom..

The same was next door at Kahlil and Sofia's house..

A Nice way to end a night in mid winter......

AT PENNS LANDING , in condos not too far from where we worked everyday...

Kelly Ann marveled at the amazing view....She could look out and see the Marine Boat that her boyfriend, Arthur Tragg was serving on this week and next week..

"This is an incredible view Donald." said Kelly Ann... "Ummm whatever you're cooking smells good." she said.

"Before and during law school...I paid for my books and my apartment by working in some of New Yorks best restaurants....as a cook...I'm an excellent cook if I don't say so myself." he said.

"And a modest one too! But this is delicious...Oh My God!!"said Kelly Ann as they both laughed.

They enjoyed a nice meal of  primo pasta

with a very expensive port of wine...

"Ohhhhhhh Donald, thank you...This meal was delicious and that wine...wouuuuuuuu it's got me woozy...Oh My God!!!  "said Kelly Ann..

"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself... Sure you want to go? You don't have a case tomorrow?" whispered Don..

"You know my schedule don't you?" Kelly Ann laughed... "Still I'd like to sleep in my own bed." said Kelly Ann..

"How about sleeping in my bed?" he whispered..

"Oh My God!!! What are you doing?" she asked as he took her in his arms and kissed her...

"Something I should have done a long time ago... I've got a boner for you that won't quit." he said as he continued to kiss her..even more passionately...

"I had no idea you felt this way about me." she said...

"Oh yeah, going back to our days in New York...but I didn't move soon enough...Soon as I got my courage...You had resigned and were gone." he said.

"Is that why you came to Philadelphia?" she asked..

"No, it's not...but since I am here..heh heh heh!" he laughed..

"Donald stop it please..." she said.

"I can't stop baby...." he said.

"You'd better." she warned.

"OH MY GOD!" he moaned as he attempted to reach under her dress and slip her panties down...

but Kelly Ann removed his hands , straightened out her clothes and released herself from his embrace...

"No Donald, Nooooo...I'm involved with someone....You know that....I can't do this....Not now, not ever...I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong impression..." she said.

He was out of breath....His trousers were standing out like a circus tent... Now he was embarrassed...

"Get your coat...I'll drive you home. " he said.

He pulled up in front of her loft  An HOUR LATER!

"Sure I can't come up for coffee?" he asked.

"It's late Donny, Thank you for Dinner....Good Night."Kelly Ann said and got out of the car and walked up to her loft...

He watched her as she walked up the steps of her loft....He was livid....

IV-

The next day we arrived at Erica's Fresh water fisheries...

"This is where the magic happens folks...I breed Talapia and Swai right here. I employ 25 people..

Right now I'm down to 14...but I'm certain if I can get some more investors..I'll have enough cash to hire more.."explained Erica Taylor. 

 "This is Dr. Wendell Lewis....He's an expert witness and like yourself a scientist...He's going to test your water levels for Mercury."said Yvette.

"I've brought a water testing kit with me." he said, smiling at Erica.

":Look at the fishes." I said.

"Ouuu it's a lot of them."said Bee Bee.

"I imagine when they get big they wholesale for a lot."said Sofia.

"This is a money maker for sure." said Kahlil.

"She doesn't have enough workers to keep production at the level she needs.. Got to find out why her investors have pulled out."said Jade.

"Either she's got competitors or Someone inside is purposely trying to sabotage her." said Virginia.

"Call your chief investor Erica." said Yvette.

"I've tried to call him several times this morning...I was even over his loft before I met with you guys today...No one answered and he hasn't answered his phone." said Erica.

At the loft of Millionaire Monty Weisman...

"He was shot two times at close range..." said one CSI man..

"No sign of breaking or entering..looks like he may have known his killer."said another CSI man.

"Nobody heard anything..."said one homicide detective.

"One person said they heard a huge crash or thump early this morning "said another homicide detective.

"From body temperature, I'd say he was killed within the past three hours...Putting time of death at 7:30-7:45" said Dr. Hazel Baylor.

"He's Monty Weisman...A Millionaire Venture Capitalist...He invests in things..He's big news..."said Dr. Marcy Martin...

Sgt. Brice looked over the body......

ADA Don Diorgio was with them today...He needed something to take his mind off of Kelly Ann and how he struck out with her last night..

"Brice...I want you to work this and work it hard... The Mayor and everybody up top is going to want action on this.." he said.

"Yes sir...Alright guys, if you've got enough...Wrap him up, Bag him and tag him....Hazel, Marcy, get me the autopsy report as soon as you can.." he said.

Hazel was relieved that Lt. Tragg wasn't working this case...but worried about ADA  Don Giorgio..usually ADA's didn't get involved this early...

Marcy felt the same way...

Never the less, they put him in a body bag and strapped him to a gurney and rolled him out 

And meanwhile at the Fishery...

"I've found a bit of Mercury in your water..."said Wendell Lewis.

"It shouldn't be." said Erica..

"You've got an enemy within that you don't know about young lady." said Ms. Yvette.
