THE OFFICE OF ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY JASON KYLE

Newly minted ADA Jason Kyle looked over our dossiers...;He knew us all ,Me, Bee Bee, Sofia and Kahlil.  He should..He graduated from PENN LAW SCHOOL, a year before us...had had classes with all of us...and for some reason had waited a whole year after his graduation.  He wound up taking the bar the same day the four of us did and getting sworn in with us,.  We had History.

"Good...Good...I see you have acclimated yourself with the attorneys involved...."said District Attorney Gil Garcetti..   "This is your case and it's a big one..I know you can handle it." he said.

"I know four of these attorneys personally....Keith Jones, Beatrice Evans...now Jones, Sofia Garcia, now Ahmed and Kahlil Ahmed..

I was in law school with them...I graduated a year before them, but I didn't take the bar exam until a year later, after they graduated...We all took the Bar exam the same day...Got swore in the same day." he said.

"Why did you wait so long to take it?" asked D.A. Garcetti.

"I spent a year abroad...in Europe and in Israel....After I got my wanderlust out of my system, I returned 

to Philly and got serious about my career...I took the bar,passed it and worked at a private law firm for awhile and here I am."said Jason Kyle.

"Not to mention you got married and divorced within that time too right?" said D.A. Garcetti.

"Yeah that too!"laughed the young Assistant District Attorney.

Meanwhile at the Bridge Building....

In our conference room...Ms. Virginia entered our conference room with Bagels and Cream Cheese and Jelly and a Thermos full of hot coffee...Which she spread out on our table...

"Courtesy of Cakeman Raven's Bakery." she said, smiling.

"They're the best..."said Kahlil.

"Thank You Ms. Yvette." said Sofia.

"Thank you Ms. Yvette." said Bee Bee

"Yes ,Thank you Ms. Yvette." I said.

"Nothank you guys for being a great team....I have watched you guys grow and mature into great attorneys before my very eyes." said Ms. Yvette as we all began to munch on the bagels and drink our coffees...

"I have some news for you guys....I took that will to a handwriting expert....He had copies of Grizelda Lewis's handwriting while she was alive....The handwriting on this revised will IS NOT HERS!!  It's a fake." he said." said Jade.

"I knew it!  I knew it....I wish we had known this at the probate hearing...."said a jubilant Ms. Yvette.

"It's not her handwriting, but whose is it?" asked Kahlil.

"It's not Hanlon Dixon's writing...We had copies of his handwriting too!" said Jade.

"He's too slick to be directly involved..."said Sofia.

"What about an alibi for Marcy?" said Bee Bee.

"The GPS on her phone and her smartwatch give us adequate description of where she was at all times during her aunties last months of life.."said Ms. Yvette. 

"I have Credit Card and Debit Card receipts that give us her location also and some witnesses who will testify on her behalf." I said.

"That's a beginning." said Yvette.

II-

THURSDAY- CURLEY'S BAR-COUPLES NIGHT!

The Drinks were plentiful as usual.

 

"Wow! This is nice...First time we've all been here together in a minute." said Jazzy.
 

"That's what we needed , a break!  Nice for all of us to be together again."said Dabnis.

"It is...I missed everybody being in Louisiana...Half of us at ,least...but now we are back.." said Kayla.

"Well you and I, Jazzy and Dabnis and Lee and Matthew did come here one night." said Ray.

"Yeah we did...but somehow it wasn't the same." said Kayla.

''We felt the same way in Louisiana...but we are all together again tonight." said Jessica.

"And Hopefully we will stay together."laughed her husband Chip.

"Tonight is a nice night, Warmer than the last few." said Karen...

"A Better drinking environment."laughed her husband, B.L.

Natalie sat on her husband's lap with her arms around his neck..

David looked as serene and happy as he ever did.

Brooke sat on her husband's lap too with her arms wrapped around his neck.

Sean held her tightly....Smiling...

"Pass me another martini babe?" said Zoey...

"Coming up babe."said her husband, Lem.

Renee sat on her husband's lap with her arms around his neck..

Tyrell looked as serene and happy as he ever did.

New Attorney Lee Phillips , so Happy to be a newly minted attorney, happier to have all of these new friends and a boyfriend as well...just beamed with happiness... She was happy for her boyfriend, Matthew , who sat with her tonight...

Matthew fed her Fried Shrimp and Barbecued Buffalo Wings.

They all sipped their beers... 

"So relaxing...Not a care in the world tonight."said Olivia.

 

"Who knows how long that will be."laughed Donnie Ray...

Beverly and Nelson certainly didn't have a care in the world..

They were kissing like there was no tomorrow.


So was Josie and Paris

And Bresha and Paris.

"LAWWWD TODAY, SOME BEDSPRINGS ARE GOING TO BE SQUEAKING TONIGHT!" observed Alfreda at the three couples.

"Well it is couples night."laughed Rockland.

"Have you given some thought about moving in with me...It would be cheaper.." said Nina Rios to her boyfriend Carlos.

"Yes..Tomorrow Morning we call the manager and see if we can arrange it." said Carlos.

More drinks arrived!

 ''We are making progress on our case." said Yvette.

"I went over to C.I.D. headquarters today...We are looking into those "Fatal Accidents" that occurred after Hanlon Dixon was placed on those wills....We may be looking at a case of multiple murders here."said Gary.

"Good, we can use all of that in our defense.," I said.

"Yes...We've got an uphill climb!"said Bee Bee.

"It always is..." said Sofia.

"We are getting there...We are going to win this one for Marcy."said Kahlil.

"Maybe we'll win two." said Jade.

"Gary and I were over C.I.D. today...We are looking into Grizelda's death and three other people involved with Attorney Hanlon Dixon who all died suddenly...Grizelda Lewis's was the only one deemed a Homicide.."said Jade's husband, Danny.

"That's only because Lt. Tragg is involved...and he's got the wrong person." said Virginia.

"Doesn't he always have the wrong person?" laughed her husband, Jetty.

Lt. Tragg was engaged in his favorite past time now of days...He was over in a dark corner with Judge Kelly Anne Mercer..

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH KELLY ANN!" he moaned..delirious....

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU ARTHUR!" she cooed.

running his hands up her dress, squeezing her shapely legs...

and kissing her passionately....

Nothing else mattered to either of them at the moment.......

ADA Jason Kyle walked in....He was holding hands with ADA Amy Sleet

who was a few years older than him, yet attracted to him just the same.

"Excuse me babe....I see some people I know.." said Jason who walked over to us... "Keith ,Beatrice, Sofia and Kahlil...Hey guys, how are you doing? Congratulations on your weddings....I always thought you guys were couples, even though back in law school you used to say you were just friends." he said.

"Well you know how that is...Sometimes you don't realize you have feelings for somebody until later on in life."I said.

"Hi Jason....I hear you're an Assistant District Attorney now!" said Beatrice.

"I am and in fact I'm prosecuting Marcy Lewis...So I'll be up against you guys in court." said Jason.

"Well imagine that?  A case where all the lawyers are PENN LAW SCHOOL GRADS... We are usually up against Harvard or Columbia Law school grads." said Sofia.

"This time it'll be the best against the best."laughed Jason...

"Yeah how about that?" laughed Kahlil.

"Well Good Luck and See you guys in court." said Jason as he walked away.....

"So he's our prosecutor eh?  You guys know him." said Ms. Yvette.

"He was in law school with us... Pretty Nice guy." said Bee Bee.

THE OFFICE OF ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY JASON KYLE

"I'm Assistant District Attorney Jason Kyle.....I'm going to be prosecuting the Marcy Lewis case... and I want this to be a successful prosecution...I will do my part , but I need you to do your part Lieutenant." said Jason Kyle.

"Well what do you mean by that? I've laid out the case before you....You've got motive, opportunity and the murder weapon, a can of rat poison that contains arsenic. Found in the suspects glove compartment."said Lt. Tragg.

"Isn't that circumstantial?  It's in her glove compartment...Yet no fingerprints are on it...No DNA....It could have been planted...You know she'll probably say it was..And you got an anonymous call telling you where to look....A Defense Attorney, A First year Attorney would make mush out of something like that...And the Attorneys I'm facing... Keith Jones, Beatrice Jones, Sofia Ahmed and Kahlil Ahmed are no slouches...They're not first year attorneys and they have a lot of courtroom experience..I have history with them.." said Jason Kyle..

"I know them...they are Yvette Jones's snot nosed youngsters.. You got history with them eh?" asked Lt. Tragg.

"We were all in law school around the same time....We took the bar exam the same day...got swore in the same day...I know them quite well..So I want this case to be tight , Recanvass, get me another witness...Where is the housekeeper , uh Mrs. Morales?" asked Jason Kyle.

"Nobody Knows....She hasn't been seen or heard from since this happened." said Lt. Tragg.

''And she's not a suspect? Find her! Find me another witness..Recanvass, I want this case tight..."said ADA Kyle.

Lt. Tragg was livid...He didn't like being talked to like this ,by this snot nosed kid who wasn't even in law school when he started doing this job.

as for Mrs. Morales, unknown to anyone....Her body rested at the bottom of the Schuylkill River....weighted down by a block of cement...as the cold currents breezed by her body...

THAT NIGHT!

After we all got home ..We were all settled down with our significant others.. What better way to spend a somewhat breezy spring night than to be making love.?

Bee Bee was wearing another sheer see through Baby doll.....She had just taken a hot shower and walked into our bedroom..

My eyes popped out of my head..She had on a new bra and matching panties that I hadn't seen before.

She giggled..

"Oh my goddd..look at you...Are you going to act like this all the time?..WOW!!! That boner is massive." she said and put her hands over her mouth..

"I'm gonna start watching you when you get dressed in the morning."I said.

I pulled her towards me...Is this something you bought at Bridget's store the other day?" I asked.

Soon we were making love passionately on top of the bed..

The next EIGHT TO NINE HOURS, all we were thinking about was each other..

The same was next door at Kahlil and Sofia's house..

Sofia and Kahlil were lying across the bed..

Kissing ,fondling and laughing..

"I bought these when we were down the shore." she said.

before they too were making sweet love for the next EIGHT TO NINE HOURS!

"Don't worry baby....I'll protect you." said Gary ,hugging Yvette..

"I know you would....I love you." said Ms. Yvette 

Gary slowly slipped her panties down..

"Ummmmm you bought these while we were down the shore...didn't you?" he asked.

"I sure did.." said Yvette, smiling.

They had made love early into the morning hours....

Enjoying  their massive and new smart bed..

The bed was sturdy and very very comfortable...It moved with their every move and was very comfortable and warm..It actually enhanced their lovemaking..

EIGHT TO NINE HOURS had passed by.

 Bee Bee and I were fast asleep in each others arms..

Sofia and Kahlil were in each others arms and still kissing, almost asleep.

And Gary and Ms. Yvette were sound asleep..

And At Ms. Jade's House...

"I'm so glad we are finally home." said Danny...

Such a nice night! for some of us anyway.

While the lifeless body of poor Mrs. Morales rests at the bottom of the Schuylkill River....weighted down by a block of cement...as the cold currents breezed by her body...

THE BRIDGE BUILDING-

Bee Bee and Sofia were working dillingently, Doing the necessary research needed for this case...Laws pertaining directly to this case, like  cases and laws that sprung from them, possible predicates, Autopsy report and any witness statements..

While next door, Kahlil and I were researching the Jury pool, their age, race, education, political affiliation, religion in hopes of finding 12 people just right for this defendent , this trial...

It was painstaking work...the boring work the public never sees , but that a good attorney must do to prepare a decent defense..

"The kids are really working hard on this case.." mused Virginia.

"I know....and Jade is filling in one last piece of the puzzle.."said Yvette.

At the Tony Restaurant, Gazspachos, Attorney Hanlon Dixon was having drinks with his attorney, H.Stanley Stanlison..

"Marcy Lewis has been keeping a low profile...No one who knows her has seen her in weeks....I suspect her lawyer, Yvette Jones has her in a local hotel, hidden away..." said Attorney H.Stanley Stanlison.

"I'm not worried about her....I'm planning a vacation to the Florida Keys....I just purchased a Yacht recently.."said Hanlon Dixon.,

"Her conviction isn't a foregone conclusion....Those five lawyers she's got are very good. What about that housekeeper, Mrs. Morales...Does she have testimony that can hurt you?" asked H.Stanley Stanlison.

"If she does , I doubt we'll hear it.... Heh heh heh."laughed Hanlon Dixon.

"I'd like to hear it too...but mostly I'd like to hear from you...IN COURT!!!!!" said Yvette..

This is a subpeona........We are calling you as a hostile witness...in the Marcy Lewis Murder case...I hope you didn't plan on leaving town any time soon..." said Yvette.

Lee Phillips, Newly minted attorney and protoge' of both Yvette and Olivia stood behind her, smiling wryly...

"See you in court Mr. Dixon." said Yvette as the two women walked out...

Harlon Dixon stared at her angrilly......
