Tuesday Morning!

We pulled up in front of the Men's Correctional Facility (City Jail)

 We had stopped at Cakeman Raven's Bakery before we got here.

"I'm Olivia Bennett-Alexander...I'm an Attorney, I'm your attorney  and we are here to defend you . We arte going to spend the rest of the day talking about your case and working out a suitable defense for you." said Olivia, smiling.

 

"I'm her husband, I'm an investigator..." I said.

"I'm her niece, Beverly West-East, I am also an Attorney." said Beverly.

"I'm Beverly's husband, Nelson East, I am also an Attorney..."said Nelson.

"I'm Josie Boyd, I'm an Attorney." said Josie.

"I'm Bresha Billips...I'm an Attorney."said Bresha.

"And I'm Constance Spain...I'm also an Attorney...You can call me Connie." said Connie.

"Wow Six lawyers and a P.I. and uh I can't afford one...I was uh waiting for a Public Defender to be assigned to me." said Eddie Singelton.

"You have a friend who believes you are innocent....He got us to take your case Pro Bono, that means for free...Are you guilty of this crime Eddie?" asked Olivia.

"NO...NOOOOOOOO.NO....I had nothing against Jumpshot Jimmy and that kid that got killed in the car.....I didn't even know him....I didn't do this...I swear." said Eddie.

"We believe you, and he believes you...That's why we are here...but first thing first...Have some coffee, have some bagels, doughnuts , orange juice...We stopped by Cakeman Raven's shoppe on the way here."said Olivia.

"Oh Wow...I love that place. This is my lucky day." said Eddie Singelton, finally smiling.

He looked at Connie the same way Bull Bailey had...The same way Bruce Greene had....with lust.

"Jumpshot didn't drop his car off that day...He sent that kid....along with an advance payment and some extra bucks for me.. Me and Slim worked on his car and finished our work around 9:30 pm.. "We are going to see what the police and prosecution have against you and work backwords from there." said Olivia.

 

"This looks like a rush to judgement once again.," I said.

"Look at who the arresting officer is and there you have it." said Beverly.

"Eddie was there anyone else around? Anybody that wasn't having their car worked on, You know, somebody just hanging around?" asked Nelson.

"Well yeah, there is always somebody like that hanging around a garage.....I'll try to think on it." said Eddie.

"Yes, that kind of information would help us a lot.," said Josie.

"We need your passwords for all of your social media accounts, your email and your on line ordering, just to clear you....No doubt the prosecution is already looking into this."said Bresha.

"Sure...I got nothing to hide."said Eddie.

"That is always good." said Connie Spain, smiling sweetly at Eddie.

Meanwhile across town at the courthouse... 11:45 AM

Assistant District Attorney Amanda Grayson was leaving court when she ran into Attorney Calvin Himmler.

"Hello Amanda....How would you uh like to go to lunch with me?" he asked.

After a successful meeting with our client, we said goodbye and promised to return...

and boarded our bus and headed home..

"It's nice that you have these buses to transport you and your associates around." said Connie Spain. 

"These buses were a gift from a very pleased client in lieu of our fee..They have paid us back many times over." said Olivia.

 

"Yes many times." I said.

"We are glad you live kinda close to us..."said Beverly....

"13 Blocks away, but who's counting?" laughed her husband, Nelson.

"I love your apartment complex....I told Natika that." said Josie...

"Do you live on the same floor as her?" asked Bresha.

"Oh no...she lives on the fourth floor...I live on the first floor. But we see each other...The basement has washers and dryers..."said Connie. 

"We are thinking about getting Washers and dryers for our basement...."said Olivia.

 

"I've heard many of our neighbors say the same thing." I said.

"Yeah it's about time..."said Beverly.

"I agree."said Nelson.

"Paris and I were pricing some out the last time we were in the shopping mall." said Josie.

"So was Tony and I." said Bresha.

We drove up to her apartment complex...

"Well, this is where I get off...See you guys in the morning." said Connie Spain.

"Let's not make a scene now...I was hoping to come back to your place for some coffee afterwords."said Bruce.

"COFFEE?? COFFEE? AT MY PLACE?? AINT NO WAYYYYYY ,YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR FREAKIN MIND!!!  GOODNIGHT BRUCE...BOYY BYE!" said Connie.. She left forty dollars on the table and got up and left the bar....

All of us were snickering at first and then outright laughing loudly.....He saw and heard us....

Bruce was very embarrassed.....Very embarrassed. He hated Public scenes. He settled up at the bar and quietly left...Which left us all in stitches...laughing even louder.  It would be awhile before he came back in here.
