Routine Harrassment

MONDAY MORNING- THE ROUTINE!

Gary Lockwood, Investigator for the D.A.'s Office and husband of Ms. Yvette was off today...

He sat in the kitchen sipping his coffee and watched his wife, Yvette Jones-Lockwood, Attorney at law and our supervisor run through her routine...

She got out of bed..Made the bed up...

Took a nice hot shower.. with a sweet and fresh smelling body wash, Lotioned down, pout on a heavenly fragrance..

and proceeded to get dressed..

Put on a cute outfit...

Called her coffee order ahead and paid for it by phone..

"My car is in the shop..I decided to have it inspected while it was there...I'm going to take the train into work today... Jade or the kids will give me a ride home." she said to Gary..

and then kissed Gary softly for three minutes..before applying her lipstick and hurrying out the door..

''See ya Babes.." she said.

"Yeahhhh, see ya..." said Gary...Who was more than aroused by that soft kiss from Yvette...

SEPTA had just finished the new train station, just one block from where they all lived..The train took them all straight into Center City and beyond where they worked...Today to Yvette's surprise..she saw her other neighbors on the train..

"Hola Ms. Yvette" said Attorney Jessica Sanchez-Burrows..

"Hey Ms. Yvette." said her husband, Attorney Charles "Chip" Burrows.

"I see you all had the same idea..Leave your cars home and take the new commuter train huh?" laughed Ms. Yvette.

"Guilty as Charged...At least today, we'll both save some gas.." said Attorney Jasmine" Jazzy" Coley

who like her husband, Attorney Dabnis Coley, usually drove to work...

"Man this train is comfortable and quiet...I could get to like this.." said Dabnis, rearing back..

"Yeah me too!" laughed Attorney Kayla Bennett_St. Jacques..

"This is cool, except for a night we might have to work late.."said her husband, Ray St. Jacques.. His law firm and Dabnis's law firm had  both moved into the same building where their wives' law firm was..Near Penns Landing..

So they would all be getting off a stop after Yvette, Jessica and Chip..who worked in the heart of Center City..

I'm attorney Keith Jones, I work for Ms. Yvette ,along with my wife, 

Beatrice "Bee Bee" Evans-Jones and our next door neighbors,

Attorney Sofia Garcia -Ahmed

and her husband, Attorney Kahlil Ahmed...

and our investigator, Jade Lee.. we lived down the street from Ms. Yvette and her husband Gary and the others , riding the train with her..

I was second chair with Dabnis Coley on a murder case...We won an acquittal...

Kahlil and Ray worked a very intense negotiation just a week before..

My wife Bee Bee worked the biggest case of all..A wrongful conviction case with Jazzy and Kayla. They borrowed  Josie, Nelson and Bresha Williams from Olivia and Beverly..

All successful cases... We were due back in the office today...

Ms. Yvette said her goodbyes to everybody and exited the train..

She stopped by the Coffee shop and picked up her order.. Coffee, six sugars, two creams and a Coffee Roll, and headed to work..

Start of a normal work week... Or maybe not..

THE NIGHT BEFORE-

 At the condo of Assistant District Attorney April Taylor..

Lt. Tragg and ADA April Taylor were standing in her doorway kissing passionately..

FOR THE NEXT NINE TO TEN HOURS, neither Lt. Tragg or ADA April Taylor cared about anything or anyone else but each other..

"OHHHHHHHHHHH HO HO HOOOOOOOOOO APRIL!" he moaned as he sat on the side of her bed and she eased herself down on him...

"VA VA VA VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!" he cried out! Nearly delirious!!!

New day, New Devil....

April got out of bed...She could hardly walk....she thought Lt. Tragg was never going to cum and get off of her..

She took a nice hot shower,with a sweet and fresh smelling body wash, Lotioned down, put on a heavenly fragrance..

Proceeded to get dressed..

Put on a cute outfit..

Called her coffee order ahead and paid for it by phone..

By now Lt. Tragg, who had brought an overnight bag and spent the night with her was showered and dressed..He took longer to get dressed than a woman, she mused and giggled..

He had made the bed up for her.. She liked that!

They left together....

Not realizing they were under the watchful eye of her ex-husband...Assistant District Attorney, James "Jumpshot Jim" Taylor, the most eligible bachelor in the city of Philadelphia.. He was furious!!!

II-

Our Law Firm, MCCLUSKEY/COZEN/CONNOR & PRATT was slowly becoming drama central...

''So Mary did you get the flowers I sent?" asked one of our Attorneys , Mike Stevens..

"Yes, I got them." sighed Mary Flowers, one of our newest Attorneys... McCluskey/Cozen/Connor and Pratt was serious about diversity...After the four of us and Jade, they had hired two more black attorneys..Patricia Reynolds and now Mary Flowers..

"Listen , I know a nice little restaurant...Thickest juiciest New York Strip Steaks you ever want to sink your teeth in and the absolute dryest martini's ever...You and me, tonight after work.." he said.

"Mike, how can I  say this where you'll understand this???..I don't want to go out to dinner with you, I don't want anymore flowers from you...I want you to stop with the calls and the texts...I don't want to date you. I can't make it anymore plain than that." said Mary..

"Now let me make it plain to you...I hired you as my para-legal for two years, while you attended law school..When you graduated..I helped you study for the bar, did I not???..And after you passed the bar, I moved your resume up so you could get hired here as an attorney...with your own office..YOU OWE ME!! YOU OWE ME BIG!!!" said Mike Stevens..

"THAT DOESN'T MEAN I HAVE TO SLEEP WITH YOU!!" she screamed..

"KEEP IT DOWN! YOU'RE GOING OUT WITH ME AND THEN YOU'RE GOING BACK TO MY APARTMENT AND THAT's THAT!! GOT IT BABY?" he snarled..

"WHY DON'T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE? 'she cried out..

Just as the elevator doors were opening and we all were getting off..

We stood there in silent shock! What a way to begin the week..

"KEEP IT DOWN....KEEP IT DOWNNN!" he cautioned.. He looked around...He smiled sheepishly...

"Uh oh Hi Yvette...You guys uh have really been in the headlines lately, heheheh, You defended Olivia and Beverly , you guys uh have been working those other big named cases..You're putting our firm on the map..."he said laughing nervously...

He looked at Mary..

"Tonight after work, dinner and drinks baby!" he said and walked away...

Mary stood in the corner and sobbed..

"Come in our office baby.." said  Ms Yvette..

"Thank You." she said.

"Hi...I'm Beatrice...They call me Bee Bee." said Bee Bee..

"I'm Sofia...I remember when you were a Para-legal.." said Sofia.

''I was his Para-legal for two and a half years..while I was in Law school..I went to PENN LAW SCHOOL like you guys did! While I worked here , MCCLUSKEY/COZEN/CONNOR & PRATT paid for my last two years of law school and I was able to pay my undergrad college fees down..I worked for Mike Stevens.. He was always a little flirtatious and handsy, but kind of like a college frat boy type of way...He helped me study for the bar after I graduated and after I passed the bar..He campaigned to get me a job here.... Which he did...And I am grateful...but I don't want to sleep with him or date him.."said Mary,.

''Sounds to me like he's trying to guilt you into sleeping with and uh dating him..Neither that you have to do." I said.

''You're an Attorney now, you have your own office...He didn't take the bar for you, he helped you study for it..He didn't sit in law school and take all those classes , you did..You owe him gratitude, but that's all...You don't have to sleep with him and there's nothing he can do..You don't even work for him anymore." said Kahlil.

''We take sexual harrassment very serious around here..You can file a complaint against him you know." said Ms. Yvette.

"Yes...Don't take that from him.." said Jade.

"Thank you, but I'm not ready to take it there yet..Thanks guys." said Mary , who got up and headed towards her office.

We all decided to eat at Sam Mother's Diner today...He had a special..

"I hear Sam has a lunchtime special today." said Yvette.

"That new cook he has  is just showing off." said Gary.

''She's from New Orleans, just like my baby."said Olivia.

"Yeahhhhh that's why I'm here today..for some good cookin.." Donnie Ray laughed.

We sat at a big long table with Beverly, Nelson, Josie ,Paris and Bresha.

''I hope Lt. Tragg doesn't come in here starting anything.. " I said.

"Relax..None of us is involved in a case involving him." said Bee Bee.

"You know....Down at Penns Landing where the Wrongful Conviction Unit is, they have a fly cafeteria..

It's better than the one in the courthouse and the one in Big Fed...and that's sayin a lot." said Beverly. 

Josie and I ate there with Kayla, Ray, Jazzy and Dabnis, who all work in that building now..We could all start eating there."said Beverly..

''Yeah I've been there..It is nice..but it's a hump.."said Nelson.

"Not if we take the train." said Josie..

"Nelson has a point..It puts you off right under the building and it runs on time..It'll have you back down town in a snap."said Paris..

"We want to chance that during a trial?" asked Bresha.

''Well maybe not during a trial..but on a day like this, when we aren't in court..sure."said Sofia.

"Here comes our food." said Kahlil.

We each received a steaming hot plate of smothered Pork Chops.. with potatoes....

The smell alone was entrancing...We all chowed down.

Lt. Tragg walked in holding ADA April Taylor's hand..They sat at a table rather than the counter.

"TWO LUNCH SPECIALS SAM...AND TWO COFFEES." said Lt. Tragg, who for the first time was in a good mood.. Despite the fact that the attorneys who make his life miserable were all in here.. He said nothing to us at all..

His attention and his hands were all on Assistant District Attorney April Taylor..He was beet red and had a pleased as punch look on his face..

ADA April Taylor was beet red too!  She politely removed his hands from under her dress...

Instead of the slap he usually got, she rewarded him with a kiss....

"Aye Mios Dios...Is she loco?" asked Sofia.

''She's His type, dumb Blonde, Busty.."said Bee Bee.

"That's what my Auntay said...but she's really not a dumb Blonde!..She's very smart and a damn good attorney..We just tried a case against her..She's no slouch..and outside of the courtroom , She's very nice too!"said Beverly..

''So what is she doin with him?" I asked,.

"Yeah?"asked Jade, laughing at my question.

"You know what they say, to each his or her own." said Josie.

"Mannn, I just don't see it." said Kahlil.

"I don't either...Well I see what he sees in her.." said Paris.

Nelson just laughed...

''WOW! They're really into it.."said Bresha.

They were kissing passionately...they hadn't come up for air in awhile.

They didn't stop kissing until their orders arrived..

Gary noticed the two of them kissing and making goo goo eyes at each other as they ate..

"Them Huh?" he said.

"Yeah, ever since our last trial, they've just been kissing everytime I see them."said Olivia.

"You know, she used to be married to uh James" Jumpshot Jim" Taylor." I said.

''He was married?? The Playboy Attorney...Lawyer Bae?" laughed Yvette...

And speak of the devil , he walked in and saw Lt. Tragg and his ex-wife, April canoodling together..

He couldn't hide the anger on his face..

He sat at the counter, but he kept staring at them...and shaking his head in fury!

That night at Bottom Of The C restaurant...

The Steak was thick and juicy and cooked to perfection by Chef Ralph Scallion...

and the Martini was made to perfection..

''How is that huh? Good Huh?" said Attorney Mike Stevens.

"Yes..It is delicious...Thank You." said Mary, who against her better judgement had decided to go out with him..Dinner was incredible..But a delicious meal and six martinis between them, was still not enough to make her want to go to his place and sleep with him...She had to make that clear tonight..

''Well Dinner was great...And Now , how about dessert baby?" he asked.

"Thank you no...I've had more than enough to eat tonight.." said Mary..

"I'm not talkin about food baby...I'm talkin about me and you!" said Mike Stevens..

He had been running his hands up her dress the entire night and she had politely tried to remove them, but he wouldn't take no for an answer..

He had tugged on the waistband of her panties at one point and seemed like he wanted to pull them down..she had pried his hands away from them and from under her skirt and almost ripped them...

He laughed shyly..

TWO HOURS LATER-

''Wow...This guy's wallet is empty..."said one CSI guy...

"I found his credit cards and his Debit Card in the trash...The killer just took his money.."said another CSI guy...

Medical Examiner's personell snapped photos of the body..

"He took two slugs to the back of his head.."

"This might be the murder weapon right here on the seat of what looks like his car." said another police officer.

''It's been wiped clean of prints."said another police officer..

"Body temperature says he's been dead about an hour, two at tops..He's still warm.."said Dr. Hazel Baylor..Deputy Coroner and Forensics Investigator.

"This guy is an Attorney!!! His Employee Badge says Micheal Stevens, Senior Associate Attorney, 

MCCLUSKEY/COZEN/CONNOR & PRATT." said Dr. Marcy Templeton...

THREE POLICE CARS DROVE UP!!

AN UNMARKED CAR PULLED UP BEHIND THEM..

The one detective neither Hazel or Marcy wanted to see got out of the car...Lt. Arthur Tragg..

''Alright..Alright , what have we got here?" he asked..kneeling down with latex gloves on and looking at the body.

"He's an Attorney, it looks like he might have been robbed.. There is no cash in his wallet...We found his credit and debit cards in the trash can..."said Hazel..

Using a pencil , Dr. Marcy Templeton lifted the gun..

"We found this near the body...It's been wiped clean of prints. It's still warm...It was recently fired." she said.

"Bag that, tag that....He's dressed pretty spiffy..."said Lt. Tragg who looked around..

"That's uh Bottom of the C." Steak and Seafood Restaurant...Hmmm I wonder if this guy ate his last meal there tonight??..Somebody might be able to tell us.."said Lt. Tragg..

"Can we remove the body Lieutenant?" asked the CSI guys..

"Yeah you can bag him and tag him...One of youse..Hazel or Marcy get me that autospy report as soon as you get it finished." he said.

Both Hazel and Marcy looked at each other and shook their heads..

The Body was put in a white body bag and strapped to a gurney and moved to the Medical Examiner's Van..

Lt. Tragg stared at the moon. This was some night for this to happen.

The next day at work...

''Why didn't you let us help you? We told you you didn't have to give in to him...You didn't have to go to dinner with him if you didn't want to." said Ms. Yvette,.

"I should have listened to you Ms. Yvette.. I am so sorry... The Food was great, so were the drinks, but he was an absolute boar...Handsy as hell, all night long up my skirt, rubbing my legs..Do you know he ripped my panties? He waited for me when I came out of the ladies room and threw me up against the wall and tried to take it in that dark corridor..I had to knee him in his privates and slap his face to get him off of me..He ejaculated  in his trousers while this was going on.."said Mary

Lt. Tragg walked into Yvette's office..

"I was coming here to ask you where her office was located Vettie, but I see  she's here..." he said.

"Young lady, you need to come downtown and answer some questions." he said looking at Mary.

'"Questions about what?" asked Mary..

''Questions about Mike Stevens...He was murdered last night!"said Lt. Tragg.

"What? Oh My God. .MURDERED?" said Ms. Yvette, stunned.

"MURDERED?" I said.

"MURDERED?" said Bee Bee

"MURDERED???" said Kahlil.

"MURDERED?" said Sofia.

"Is there an echo in here? YES, HE WAS MURDERED... We found him shot to death, by his car..apparently with his own gun in the parking lot of Bottom of The C.  Now we need you to come downtown  for  questioning."said Lt. Tragg.

Mary looked at Ms. Yvette.

''Go with him Mary..Ask the reason for each question..We'll be down to see you shortly." said Ms. Yvette.

That afternoon, Gary passed Ms. Yvette her nightly cup of Orange Organic Tea. She liked drinking this after a nice hot shower and just inhaling the aroma..It relaxed her.

"Exactly! He tried to sexually assault her last night in Bottom of The C. She got away from him, but now he's dead!!! They found him shot to death in the parking lot of  Bottom of the C. , apparently with his own gun and it looks like she's going to be charged with his murder. " said Yvette...

"You don't think she did it..right?" said Gary, with a smile.

"Nah, she's a good girl...She doesn't seem capable of that,." she said as she got up and walked to the kitchen to get a bottle of water...

"Anybody is capable of anything." he said. "I'm a cop..I have to think that way.."said Gary.

"I know...but for real..I don't think she did it..she said she got away from him, hailed an Uber and  got out of there..She didn't even know he was dead...She came in today to file a sexual harrassment complaint and a restraining order against him.'"said Yvette.

"Hmmmmm. You know, You're a good girl too" said Gary, smiling raffishly.

"You have earned yourself another ride tonight!"  said   Yvette..

Gary pulled her to him and kissed her gently and ran his hands into her panties...

"I got us a Judge that will hear us in two hours." she said.

ADA James "Jumpshot Jim"Taylor walked over to her..

"Yes Jim..It's me.. I have an arraignment in two hours.I don't have time for small talk." she said.
