Midnight...

''Thanks for a wonderful night guys." said Kayla.

"Yeah Everything was lovely.." said Ray.

Kayla and Ray were coming home after a delicious dinner out with Kayla's cousins

"Whew...I am beat...Good night.." said Nelson..

As the four of them walked across the street to their Office/Duplex.

"It's Friday.....I am ready for bed..."said Josie..

"Good Night everybody ." said Paris as he and Josie walked into their house , next door.

Sam Mother put the Milk Shake in front of Kayla..

The reason why they didn't come here is because Lt. Tragg made it impossible to enjoy your meal..He had to brow beat you and whine and complain about your most recent case.. She saw how he had terrorized little Bresha the time the two of them were in Curleys , before her wedding on a case she wasn't even involved in..

At Curley's Bar at that moment... Our newest Associate Attorney, Bresha Williams was having a drink with Kayla Bennett-St. Jacques and watching the broadcast....

''Wowwww, I wish I was part of that case." said Bresha.

"I know my cousin Liv. She's protective like a mother hen....

She wants you to be relaxed for your wedding in a few days..Not concerned about this case..She was the same way with my cousin Bev and Nelson

This whole moment was spoiled by Lt. Tragg ,who walked up on both of them.....

"SOOOOOOOOO ONCE AGAIN YOU GUYS SEE A CONTROVERSIAL CASE AND YOU JUMP ON IT!!!" he bellowed..

" I don't know what "you guys" you are talking about..I'm Not involved in the case at all.." said Bresha.

"WHAT? DID THEY KICK YOU OFF THE TEAM? TOO INEXPERIENCED??" asked Lt. Tragg..

''Noooooooooooooooo..I'm getting married in a few days and I'm on a break from work...besides they don't need me anyway...They have ample legal help...Ms. Rios is on the team." said Bresha.

"I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT A FORMER ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY WOULD JOIN FORCES WITH A BUNCH OF AMBULANCE CHASING ATTORNEYS TO TAKE ON A LOSER CASE LIKE THIS...THAT WAS A DAMN GOOD COP." He continued to bellow.

"She just told you that she's not part of the defense team...Now we were having a conversation...Would you please leave our table?" asked Kayla.

It was as if they hadn't said anything...Lt. Tragg continued to stand at their table and stare....

"YOU KNOW...THERE IS NO MYSTERY THAT SHE DID IT!! SHE CALLED THE COPS AND STAYED THERE..HER PRINTS ARE ALL OVER HIS SERVICE REVOLVER!" he snarled loudly....

"Are you trying the case in the bar?  What are you, a lawyer now? I told you, I'm not part of the team...I have nothing to do with the case...Please leave me alone." said Bresha again...

"You're interrupting our conversation...would you please go?" asked Kayla, now getting angry...

It was as if a word hadn't been said..Lt. Tragg continued to whine and protest..

"I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT A FORMER ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY WOULD JOIN FORCES WITH A BUNCH OF AMBULANCE CHASING ATTORNEYS TO TAKE ON A LOSER CASE LIKE THIS...THAT WAS A DAMN GOOD COP.LIV AND BEV HAVE GONE TOO DAMN FAR...HOW DOES DONNIE RAY FEEL ABOUT THIS?  HE'S AN EX COP?" He continued to bellow...

"FOR THE LAST TIME!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!! I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT!" said Bresha ,now very angry...

"YES, WOULD YOU GO AWAY?" said Kayla....now getting annoyed...People were beginning to stare at their table.

Until a deep baritone voice was heard....It the voice of an attorney neither one of the young women knew.. A tall handsome man named Deke Richards...

"You heard them Lieutenant...Walk away from their table. NOWWWWWW!.I heard this young lady  here tell you several  times that she's not involved in the case .What are you , deaf?  ...So walk away...." he said.

"WHYYYYYYYYY YOUUUUUUU! YOU'RE CRUISIN FOR A FAT LIP BUDDY!" snarled a now furious Lt. Tragg..

''If I were you I'd seriously think about bracing up on me..You know what happened the last time you were foolish enough to get physical with me...This time it could be worse.. Just leave these two ladies alone...They can't help you or hurt you in any way and as they said, they are trying to have a conversation...NOW BACK OFF!" he said sternly....

"Artie...Either order something or go...I can't have you harrassing my paying customers...Now come on now." said Curly, the bar's owner and a former cop himself.. He didn't want any brawling in his bar..

Lt. Tragg was as red as a beet, but he backed off... He had gotten in a physical altercation with this man a few weeks ago when he was a murder suspect and had gotten himself knocked cold for his troubles..As much as he hated the man, Attorney Deke Richards....He was in no mood for a second round with him...He angrily stormed away from their table..Curley had allowed him to save face, in more ways than one!

"Thank you so much Curly and you too Sir...." said Bresha.

"Yes , thank you both!." said Kayla.

"No problem ladies, just keepin the peace is all." said Curley..He liked all of us attorneys and investigators who populated his bar.. We ordered a lot and tipped well..

"No problem....My name is Deke Richards...I'm an Attorney....That clown arrested me awhile back and charged me with murder...Luckily...I was acquitted.." He looked at Bresha...

"I know your boss...You work for Olivia Bennett-Alexander don't you? 

 She's a very good friend and colleauge of mine." he said.

''She's my cousin..My Father and Her Father were brothers...I'm an Attorney Also...Kayla Bennett-st. Jacques." said Kayla, smiling..

"That would make you cousins..Heh Heh heh and you're an attorney too?  Myyy god...Between you and her niece , Beverly 

and the other women she employs...Olivia keeps gorgeous women around her..." he laughed..Looking Kayla up and down and thinking about Beverly, Josie and this young lady here...Bresha..

He dropped a few dollars on the table.. 

"That should take care of your drinks...Tell Olivia, Deke said Hello."he said, smiling and walked away...

Today... Kayla was enjoying her milk shake..

Maybe she was foolish but this Milk shake was worth it. She smelled a strong and familliar cologne..

"Ms. Bennett, It's been awhile since we met... a couple of years..." said ADA Patrick Peace... who rubbed Kayla's smooth and shapely legs..  "That was a cute trick your cousin employed. Putting you in the visitors section up front with that sexy red dress.

Kayla turned around and showed him her wedding band and engagement ring..

They were sparkling!

"He's Home now...In fact..He should be here shortly to pick me up !" she said.

Kayla continued enjoying her milk shake.. She thought of ordering one for Ray...but then thought...This was so good, She might wind up drinking it before she got home.

"You liked that Milk Shake Kayla...You want another one?" asked Sam Mother.

"Two to go....One for my hubby...He's playing basketball today.."laughed Kayla..

Lt. Tragg walked in and sat at the counter next to her...He apparently was off duty today...and drunk,,,He smelled like Irish Whiskey!  She wished he had sat anywhere else but next to her.

"Your cousin Olivia pulled a cute stunt , A real cute stunt, having you sit in the trial in that sexy Red Dress yesterday ...It knocked ADA Patrick Peace off of his game..." said Lt. Tragg.

"Again with the red dress" she thought....

"It wasn't me...I didn't do anything...He didn't have much of a case anyway as My cousins proved. You guys only looked at one suspect...you never looked at anybody else..and you disregarded other forensic evidence at the scene like fingerprints and DNA belonging to another suspect...and the fact that your suspect's DNA was only on the door, but not in the room." said Kayla matter of factly..

"ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY THIS WAS MY FAULT?" Lt. Tragg bellowed..

"I don't wish to argue this case with you...It's over!  I had nothing to do with it.. The man has been exonerated and the guilty man is in custody." said Kayla softly...but actually it WAS HIS FAULT...His investigation was faulty...and full of holes and Olivia, Beverly and the rest just exploited that she thought.

"STILL YOU'RE TRYING TO SAY THIS WAS MY FAULT!" he bellowed.

"The case is over...I didn't try it...I had nothing to do with the case...Those were just my honest observations..Now go away...I don't wish to discuss this case or any other case today..It's Saturday, I'm not at work." said Kayla as diplomatically as possible.

"THIS WAS NOT MY FAULT!!!  I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY....THIS WAS NOT MY FAULT, I DID MY JOB!!! I BROUGHT IN A GOOD CASE!" he bellowed... Other customers were turning around..

"Artie tone it down!" said Sam Mother.

"Yeah Tone it down! Don't Yell At My Wife!" came the voice of Attorney Ray St. Jacques, Kayla's husband... He came in with fellow attorneys Keith Jones, Kahlil Ahmed and Tony Billips...They had all been playing ball and then had gone to the gym...Now, showered and dressed, they stopped in here both to pick up Kayla and to order Ice teas..

"Heyy Kayla!" said Keith Jones.

"Heyy Kayla!" said Kahlil.

"Heyyy Kayla." said Tony.

"Hi Guys..."said Kayla...She was sure glad to see her husband and the rest...

Lt. Tragg was furious at Ray for even speaking to him...

"Back off son because I'm really getting tired of YOU!" he snarled.. He hated only Dabnis Coley worse than Ray St. Jacques.

"I don't care what you're tired of..Don't speak to my wife in that tone...In fact, why are you talking to her at all? Have you been drinkin?" asked Ray...

"I'll show you whose been drinkin pal!" said Lt. Tragg who hit Ray with a vicious uppercut to his stomach that caused him excrutiating pain and knocked the wind out of him...He fell sideways up against the counter...almost folded over...

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??" screamed Kayla..to Lt. Tragg.

"You should advise your husband to show some respect and to speak when he's been spoken to." said Lt. Tragg.

"OUUUUUUUUU! SPEAK ON THIS!" moaned Ray in pain before he got himself together  and fired off  10 lefts and 10 rights to Lt. Tragg's face...sending him spinning around like  a top....Now the other customers were engaged...watching Lt. Tragg getting pummelled...

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUF!" groaned Lt. Tragg, who  staggered, then swung two haymakers, missing with both.. and stumbling off guard...He swung again and had his punch blocked...He tried to throw another uppercut, but missed again and Ray cracked him hard in his jaw, spinning him around again and then landed several left and right body shots to his torso..

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUF!" he moaned in pain himself.. blood spewing from his nose, his lip swollen and his eyes swollen also..

Ray hit him with 17 lefts and 17 rights  and then one well placed left  right combonation that sent Lt. Tragg flying into a table, knocking the table and chairs over...and landing flat on his face on the floor..

The other customers gasped...Some laughed.

"DAMNNNNN!" said one customer.

He was down for the count...

Ray then took what was left of his wife's Milk shake and poured it on his head..

"OH MY GOD!! OH MY GOD!! Ray baby, stop it!" screamed Kayla, grabbing him..

"It's all good Kayla.. Come on Ray, enough man, chill babe! I think you made your point!" said Tony Billips

"Yeah Ray...It's over man....He's done !" said Kahlil..

"Yeah man cool it.. Wait outside..We'll get our refreshments to go!" said Keith Jones..

"I'm straight man, I'm straight..." said Ray, who just that fast  calmed himself down...

Lt. Tragg was still on the floor, breathing heavy.........

"Come on baby...Sam gave me another Milk Shake...Let's get out of here.." said Kayla.

There was the sound of raucous laughter coming from the front door..

ADA James "Jumpshot Jim" Taylor  and 

 ADA Petey S., both who had had fights, fist fights with Lt. Tragg in here.were laughing their heads off.. They had witnessed the whole fight and laughed with glee seeing Lt. Tragg knocked to the floor.

"Mannn I don't know who you are, but I'm Assistant District Attorney James Taylor..And the next time you come in here and I'm here...Your meal is on me..That keystone copper has been needing that for a long time." he said and shook Ray's hand.

Ray smiled.

"I'm an Assistant District Attorney too and I saw him hollering at your wife and I saw him hit you first..If you have any legal repercussions..You call me... Petey S. " said  Petey S.

"I'm an attorney too! My name is Ray. Ray St. Jacques." said Ray..

"Please to make your acquaintence man!" said Petey S.

"Please to meet you pal.." said Jumpshot Jim..

Lt. Tragg wouldn't be going to the hospital this time...He got up off the floor......His lip was swollen, so was his right cheek...One of his eyes was swollen shut..His nose was bleeding and ice cream was running down the side of his face... He looked like hell..He heard snickering and laughter....He was embarrassed beyond belief!

"Artie! GET OUT!  Take a two week break from here..Find somewhere else to eat... This is the second brawl you've been in in just weeks and the fourth fight..I can't have this..You harrassing my paying customers...Get out!" said Sam Mother sternly..

Lt. Tragg walked out of Sam Mother's slowly... This was the second fight he'd lost in here.. A lot of his bluster was gone...He was duly embarrassed.... He hoped April didn't hear about this...but that blabber mouth ex-husband of hers probably couldn't wait to tell her. He was going to lay off the booze while he was at it..

He poured the rest of his Irish Whiskey out and tossed the bottle in the trash.

Back at their home......

Kayla put a hot towel across her husband's stomach...

"You sure you don't want to go to the hospital?" she asked.

"Nah, I'll be alright...He caught me off guard with that punch...I never expected him to hit me....He's really out of control....You know he was drunk...I could smell the liquor on his breath." said Ray.

Kayla looked at him and smiled.

"I thought you knew that." he said.

She sat on his lap and kissed him softly....This led to more kissing... He unzippered his trousers.

He slid her panties down..

She eased up and down on him slowly...

The News that Lt. Tragg was banned from Sam Mother's for two weeks brought some familliar faces to the restaurant.

"It's so peaceful, having a meal uninterrupted by that pest." said Olivia.

"I'm gonna hate when this two weeks are up." said Nelson.

"We just won't be  eating here." said Josie.

"It's so convenient when you're working in town." said  Paris.

"I know...Some people just take the joy out of life." said Bresha.

"Yeah, they do!" said  Tony.

"I heard Kayla was in here just enjoying a milk shake or trying to and he came in bellowing about your case.. A Case she wasn't really involved in." said Yvette. she and her crew were sitting at the long table next to Olivia and her crew..

"Oh he whines and whines about every case....We close the doors to our offices when he's in the building." said Gary.

"I hear none of the ADA's want to work a case if he's involved." said Keith Jones.

"Can you blame them ? He screws up cases, leaves out evidence, misses things, refuses to take advice or recanvass..."said Bee Bee

"But his cases make us successful."laughed Sofia.

"That's for sure."laughed Kahlil.

"Hear that?" said Jade, "That's the sound of Lt. Tragg not bitching and moaning." said Jade.

Her  Husband, Dannie Ho, Jessica and Chip all busted out in laughter.

Dabnis, Jazzy, Ray and Kayla walked in... They were met by loud applause...

"Wow look at this, you're a hero Ray." laughed Dabnis.

"This is the only reason I'm eating here... because Lt. Tragg  has a two week ban." said Jazzy.

"Me too!" said Jazzy.

"I don't care if he was here or not." said Ray, smiling and unconcerned.

TWO WEEKS LATER-

Kayla and Ray sat in Curley's Bar..

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!" said Kayla.

"THANK YOU!" said Ray

They kissed passionately...

Ray rubbed her legs and ran his hands up under her dress...

running his fingers down her silky panties.

"Uh Uhhhhhh , the birthday boy gets that , after dessert!" said Kayla.

Two Martini's arrived...Which they drank down.....

And a slice of cake with a cherry on top came next...They both enjoyed the cake..

"Awwww thank you baby. Now for dessert!" said Ray..

"You are so nasty...." said Kayla, laughing...

They kissed some more.

Lt. Tragg watched from a distance. The swelling in his face had gone down  a bit and he was heavily made up to cover his black eyes... He had taken a week off from work..He didn't want anyone in the department to see him like this.. He had kept a low profile , only ordering his meals through take out!

His lip was still swollen...from his fight with Ray.... He watched  Ray and his wife, Kayla, Olivia's cousin, who he now hated more than he did her niece, Beverly...kissing passionately.

"Look at em, over there sucking face...They need to get a room." he growled.

"It's the guys birthday...They're no worse than you and that blonde....By the way..Where is she?" asked Curley.

"She's outta town...Went to see her mom. Look at em over there...All that PDA." said Lt. Tragg.

Watching Gary and Kayla continue to kiss passionately...

"Hey I heard you got in a fight with somebody in Sam Mothers about two weeks ago and really got pasted." said Curley.

"Don't believe everything you hear....I gave as good as I got." said Lt. Tragg.

"That aint what I heard...I heard you got knocked cold." laughed Curley...

"Well I didn't , Okay?" he said and snarled at Ray and Kayla.. "I oughta run both of them in for public indecency.." he said still staring at Ray and Kayla kissing.

"They need to get a room." he snarled.

" Know what your problem is Artie? You hate to see other people happy." said Curley.

Lt. Tragg didn't respond...He just grumbled under his breath.
