 Talk About Deja Vu.... Only it was Friday Morning. Ms. Yvette and Gary's house...

"Ummmmm Gary Honey...Wake up...It's time to get up!" said Ms. Yvette.

"As much as I'd like to...I've got to get up and get dressed for work...You do too!" she said softly...

"Come on Husband...let's get up." yawned Yvette.

Gary watched as Ms. Yvette took her night shirt off and unhooked her bra ,tossing it in the hamper....

Gary followed her into the shower.....

Soon After the shower....they both lotioned down, put on deoderant and sweet smelling fragrances..and got dressed....

Gary was dressed first and brewed himself some coffee...

while he waited for Ms. Yvette to get dressed in a cute outfit and apply make up and lipstick..

That done...They both walked out of their house together.

Walking out of their house they saw the rest of Yvette's crew...

 

 "Such a beautiful day huh husband?" said Yvette.

"Yeah ,sure is...I'm so used to overcast mornings.. It's been a great week.!"said Gary.

"Hi Ms. Yvette." said Keith Jones

"Hi Ms. Yvette." said my wife, Beatrice " Bee Bee" Evans-Jones.

"Good Morning Ms. Yvette." said Sofia...

"Good Morning Ms. Yvette." said Kahlil...

"Hi Yvette." said Jade...

"Hey Yvette....Hey Gary, would you like a ride into town?" said her husband, Danny Ho.

"Yeah, don't mind if I do..

. " See ya babes." said Gary...planting a soft kiss on Yvette's lips.

"Byeeee!" said Ms. Yvette.

"Heyyy girl..." said Ms. Virginia.

"Hey Vettie." said Jetty, her husband....

Our neighbor, Josie Boyd who worked across the street with our friends, Olivia and Beverly was giving her husband, Paris a kiss goodbye in the doorway..

As was our across the street neighbor, Bresha Billips...who also worked across the street with our friends, Olivia and Beverly

She was giving her husband Tony a kiss goodbye..

 The rest of our neighbors who were getting on the train, got on...Jazzy, her husband, Dabnis,. Kayla, her husband, Ray, Jessica, her husband, Chip, Karen, Renee and Tyrell...

 

This rounded out our crew for this train stop, For this morning..

The train pulled into our station....Upon entering the train , we found our other friends already seated..

Natalie, her husband, David, Brooke, Her husband, Sean, Zoey and her husband, Lem.. They had gotten on the station before ours...

And  at the next station-

Our final friends got on...Lee Phillips, Nina Rios and her fiance, Carlos joined us..

They worked at the Womens Law Center about a block from our building...but they ate their meals in our building and hung out with us..

For the next 45 minutes...The 28 of us all rode to our destination at Penns Landing.. We all did this same thing practically every day.

The Bridge Building...

Where we all went to have our first meal of the day...A piping hot Breakfast....and then to our offices to begin the work week.

Such was the end of the work week for us.... 

It took 72 Hours, not 48 as originally predicted ,but Lt. Tragg arrested 

Attorney William Flowers and charged him with First degree Murder of Alana Petrovic.

William Flowers left a message on the telephone at our office in the Bridge Building.   he wanted us to represent him!

The Fishbowl- The nickname the detectives gave to their interrogation room.

Lt. Tragg was furious...He had been grilling Attorney William Flowers for hours and Flowers had refused to talk anymore.

He realized he had made a mistake by talking in the first place.. He lied about where he was during the murder. A fact that was quickly checked out and found to be false...Now he wasn't saying anything.

"Look we got you cold pal...You had motive...you wanted to stop her from getting a 3 million dollar payout from your firm, a payout that was going to result in you being fired...Sexual harrassment. You lied about where you were....So that's Opportunity..We got you for Murder one pal."  screamed Lt. Tragg.

"I'm saying anything else to you until my lawyers show up and for your information....I've already left a message on their office phone." said William Flowers.

"Oh you have have you? Well No lawyer can get you out of this buddy." said Lt. Tragg. 

 "You never know about these things Lieutenant!" said Yvette..

"OH MY GOD!!! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN YOU GUYS WOULD BE INVOLVED IN THIS!" screamed an angry Lt. Tragg.

"Well there is no need to get angry..You had to know that coming from our firm, We would have to represent him." I said with a smile.

"Murder Cases are our specialty."said Bee Bee.

"Criminal Defense rather."said Sofia.

"Sooooo here we are."said Kahlil with a smile.

"And I used to be a Homicide Detective as you know."said Jade.

We were clearly messing with him and he knew it...It only made him angrier..

"YVETTE ,KINDLY EXPLAIN TO YOUR KIDS THAT THEY SHOULD BE SEEN AND NOT HEARD...." barked an angry Lt. Tragg.

"Oh please...We are leaving....William, you're an attorney, you know that anything you say from here on in can be used against you....So Dummy up, say nothing to no one...No cops, no guards, no other inmates.. We are going to try and get you out of here... We are leaving!" said Yvette.

"I must say...It smells better in here than it usually does.." I said.

"Yeah...It sure does." said Bee Bee.

"Guess you guys cleaned up....It's an improvement."said Sofia.

Kahlil took a deep breath...."Hmmm, I don't do that in here too often." he said.

Jade laughed.

William Flowers enjoyed how unhinged Lt. Tragg was...

Lt. Tragg was practically foaming at the mouth....

FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE NO I.D. BAR!!!

The drinks were flowing.

"Liv it's sooo good to see you girl and to enjoy some cold ones." said Yvette, hugging her good friend and kissing her on the cheek. 

"I heard you've been busy...with a litigation and now defending that same client for murder...William Flowers...We know him...He was in law school with us...I had a few classes with him...He used to like me...He was all hands."laughed Olivia.

 

Donnie Ray had his hands up Olivia's skirt, rubbing her legs and her thighs...

"Everybody likes you....I certainly like you..." he whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek softly...

"Ouu I can't take all this admiration."laughed Olivia.

Yvette smiled...and grabbed another cold beer, but all the while she kept thinking about what Olivia had just said. "William Flowers...We know him...He was in law school with us...I had a few classes with him...He used to like me...He was all hands." That made her go "Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!" Still she didn't think he was a murderer...He had no reason to kill her...she mused.

"You can get some good sleep this weekend Yvette...It's supposed to rain all weekend..."said Beverly.

"Yeah, after Brunch tomorrow...We all are coming home and retreating to our beds...Saturday will be a day of rest...This Saturday anyway." said Nelson.

"Yeah no plans this weekend."said Josie.

"Not even for Saturday Night....At least not for us."said Paris.

"Us neither...Just cozying up with each other."said Bresha.

"Ditto."said her husband, Tony.

"We've been gettin a lot of rain lately."said Alfreda.

"I for one am enjoying it."laughed her husband, Rockland.

"Yeah because we've been staying at home and you've been getting me in the bed."laughed Alfreda.

"Eh, A Hard man is good to find Ms. Alfreda..." said Nina Rios.

"I know that's right....My husband, stays hard."laughed Alfreda and your man looks like he's hard now."laughed Alfreda.

COURTROOM A-  TUESDAY NIGHT- 8:00 AM

NIGHT COURT-

In Philadelphia, Night Court only operates two nights a week....Tuesday and Thursday, Tonight was Tuesday...and fortunately...We got an arraignment date of 8:00 pm. We were the first case on the dockett.

Arrested on Friday, Attorney William Flowers had spent the entire weekend and a day in lock up... He looked a mess and he looked like he was going stir crazy. Still he was glad to be out of lock up.

The Judge in this case would not be the Judge in the actual case....

Lt. Tragg was not there... Night court was too low profile for him...No witnesses...No media..and a bunch of  Judges  and ADA's who were mostly older Judges and ADA's about to retire...It was lightweight. It was in session from 7:00 pm- 10:00 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays...We were quite fortunate to get a date.

The ADA that did show up was not going to be the ADA that tried the case...He had only the basic out line of the case at hand... He basically wanted to go home...So he didn't really put up much of a fight.

We surprisingly presented 37 character witnesses , all from our law firm McCluskey/Cozen/Connor and Pratt, all well known attorneys who had practiced before this judge in his courtroom at one time or other.

William Flowers , An Attorney, with no priors helped his case immensely.....He was released on his own recognizance, Without bail..and surprisingly without having to wear an ankle monitor..

"Vettie....thank you guys...Thank you guys sooo much...I just want to get home, get a hot shower and get some real rest...I'll see you in the morning."said William Flowers.

 

 "Wait a minute William...I read the charging document and the police report. It says you lied about where you said you were during the murder.  Why did you say anything? You're a lawyer..you know better than that."said Yvette.

"I know...I know..Vettie I slipped up...I'm sorry."said Will Flowers.

''Where were you during the murder?" I asked.

"Tell us, we are your attorneys." said Bee Bee.

"I-I-Can't tell you where I was." said William Flowers.

"What do you mean you can't tell us?" asked Sofia.

"I was with a woman!!! A Married woman...The wife of one of our partners....I don't want her name involved in this. I don't."said William.

"She's your alibi."said Kahlil.

"I SAID I DO NOT WANT HER NAME MIXED UP IN THIS....AND AS MY ATTORNEYS YOU CAN NOT REPEAT WHAT I AM TELLING YOU...ATTORNEY/CLIENT PRIVLEDGE... NOW GET ME OFF SOME OTHER WAY....GOOD NIGHT GUYS...I WILL SEE YOU ALL IN THE MORNING!" he said sternly...

After he walked away, Jade turned to Yvette and said. "I don't like this and I don't know if I like him at all." she said.

"Jade, I feel exactly the same way.." said Ms. Yvette.
