Off The Market

 Even though Ms. Yvette was not involved in either of the big cases...She needed something to do rather than sit around the office... so she volunteered to go with Assistant District Attorney Karen Page to try and get Judges for the hearings of the four men wrongfully convicted and the Immigrant case..

"Thanks for letting me tag along Karen...I needed to feel like an Attorney...Lately I've just been shuffling papers in the office...I miss my guys being around...Jade too..You took my whole staff."jpked Yvette..

"Nonsense....I can use the company and use you for a sounding board...You should come down in two days and watch these hearings..."said Karen..

"Lately I feel like a porn star....Gary wants it constantly....He can't keep his hands off of me...He's really been on me since we got engaged..he's wearing me out.."laughed Yvette.

"And you're complaining?  At least Gary isn't a workaholic..."said Karen Page..

ADA Miles Ellis stopped them in the hallway...

"A word Yvette?" he asked..

"Excuse me Karen..Yes Miles?" said Yvette..

"Is it true? Uh I heard...I heard that you...That you are uh engaged? Is this true?" he asked..

"It's true...Gary and I are to be married...He's selling his house and moving in with me.."said Yvette..

"Oh!" he said.. "I always thought that uh...Well uh I always thought that uh somewhere down the line...I might have a chance..Another shot at you." he said.

"You need to stop!!!...YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND, LET ME REMIND YOU AND SHE IS A FRIEND OF MINES!" said Yvette...

"Yeah you're right....Karla is a good person...You're absolutely right...I was just momentarily uh" he said.

"Out your rabid mind... I'm going to forget this conversation Miles.."said Yvette...

"Thank you Vettie...Uh Congratulations on the wedding." said Miles as he walked off..

''What was that?"asked Karen..

''A former fan that heard I'm off the Market."said Yvette.

Meanwhile down near Penns Landing..After two days off , we were all back to work...

Bee Bee and I were assisting Olivia ,Beverly and their crew..

"Well Guys, we are all set...Bev did you call CFC?" asked Olivia.

"Sure Did...They will have all four guys here at 9:00 am sharp....

"You know it should be easy, we don't have to zero in on a jury...Just a Judge...but with these cases, I'd rather take my chances with a Jury.." said Nelson..

"We'll be alright..I trust the investigation that Donnie Ray and Jade put together."said Josie..

"You know...All four of these investigations were so slap dash that Tragg and his now imprisoned partner, Dominic Evans should be jailed for such shabby police work.."said Donnie Ray..

"You know, these two weren't rookies...I mean Lt. Tragg was a Sergeant and Dominic Evans had been a detective quite awhile.. This was the sloppiest police work I ever saw."said Jade..

"And they made both of these goofballs detectives...Incredible...."said Dabnis..

"It could have been worse...They could have been attorneys." said Jazzy...

The entire room burst into laughter....

Yvette had run into Gary....

Karen was in with a Judge...

They were in the Judges Chambers kissing passionately...It was Yvette ,who had pulled Gary into the chambers...

They kissed for awhile and finally they stopped, they composed themselves...

"WOWWW! Vettie...That was awesome.."said Gary, catching his breath...

"Stop by for dinner tonight...There is more from where that came from.."she whispered seductively...She was very aroused..

"It will certainly give me something to think about.."said Gary, smiling broadly as he walked away...

ADA Ron Harper happened to be walking by...

"Yvette...I uh heard you're uh getting married....Off the market huh?" he said.

"That's right...Me and Gary, getting married soon...before the end of the year hopefully.." said Yvette.

"You movin in his house or what?" asked Ron Harper.

"He's moving into my house...If you want to buy it, he might be interested in selling or subletting it  to you.."said Yvette.

"Yeah ,I might be...but damn...I wish I could....I wish I could...Ahhh never mind...That wouldn't be appropriate.. both the lawyers I've fantasized about...You and Olivia are off the market.. Uhhh congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding.."said Ron Harper, who walked off.

He had carried a torch for Olivia 

for years, before meeting Yvette and then had carried a simular torch for her...Neither woman had been interested.

"Thank You Ronnie."laughed Yvette...At least he didn't make an inappropriate pass. She couldn't believe Miles Ellis.

ADA Karen Page walked down the hallway...

"Another fan huh? You asked me once if I had Magic dust in my panties...I think you're the one wit the magic dust in her panties.." she laughed..

"You could be right..."laughed Yvette... "You get the Judges?" asked Yvette..

"Got two good ones.. Judge Percy Reynolds and Judge Keith Morrison...They said their schedules are empty and they'd be glad to come down..." said Karen..

"Then you're all set.." said Yvette...

"All set!" said Karen.

And in the Law Library...

"Well Guys, we are ready for the hearing...Our arguments and strategies are straight...Sofia, Kahlil..you've done an excellent job."said Jessica, who was personally overseeing this case..

"Oh You're welcome Jessie..It's always a pleasure working with you and Chip."said Sofia.

"Yeah, always a pleasure.."said Kahlil..

"And Beverly, Nelson, Josie and Jade...thanks for your help also...I know you guys will be working on those other cases.."said Chip..

"We are all a team...It's team work here..."said Beverly.

"It's always nice when we work on a big case together..

"Yeah and nice when it's here at home and we aren't far away in some other city." said Josie.

"Kevin won't be able to make it to the hearings...He's working another case...but he left me with enough information to help the investigation.."said Jade.

Former Judge Pinkney Bach, now an Attorney in private practice ran into Ms. Yvette and Karen in the hallway...

''Yvette, I heard a rumor a week ago that you were engaged...Is it true? It's not true is it?" he asked.

"It's true!!!...Gary and I are engaged....We've been engaged for about three weeks now....Must be something in the water, 

Beatrice "Bee Bee" Evans and Keith Jones got engaged a few days ago... So did

Kahlil and Sofia ...They all got engaged a few days ago.."said Yvette happily..

"Hmmmmm all of the Yvette girls are off the market except that

 Chinese girl.."said Pinkney...Talking about Jade!

"Yes, that's what it looks like."laughed Yvette...

"I'm just going to put it out there....Yvette I've been wanting to get in your panties like nobody's business since I've met you...Would it be too much for just one night with you??...Just one night before you get married? I could be discreet, I swear...Just one night!!"said Pinkney...

"Oh My Goddd Nooo!  Pinkney!! Goodbye..." said Yvette, disgusted at the proposition....He was the worst of the three guys who had approached her about being married..

"Another fan huh? Isn't that Judge Pinkney Bach? Didn't he jail you once?" asked Karen..

"Yes he did...and I wound up defending him for sexual assault and murder..I represented him in another case earlier this year....Before all of that...Years ago...I was hired as a consultant on a case he was working on...He fired me on the eve of the trial because I wouldn't sleep with him...He's a big horn dog...He's been wanting to get me in bed for years..I thought he got that out of his system...Apparently he hasn't...He propositioned me just now!" said Yvette...

"WOW..Can I have your autograph?" joked Karen as both women laughed loudly....

"PUH-LEASE!" said Yvette, chuckling!!
