Haley Barbera's body hadn't been claimed yet...So Dr. Hazel Baylor was allowing our investigator, Jade Lee -Ho

 and new Assistant District Attorney,Sean Holmes to observe the body...

Jade looked at him....He was a devilishly handsome man..

Missing persons Detective Sgt. Sam Smith was also present.

"The victim, Haley Barbera was 29 years old, Caucasion.....She was not still alive when she was fitted for cement and dropped into the river...contrary to what Lt. Tragg has been saying on television...No, she was already dead!  She had been strangled...manually...then after death...a chain and a cement weight was tied to her ankles and she was dropped in the river..."said Dr. Hazel Baylor.

"She had been reported missing a week before you found her...I'm guessing she was probably murdered the night or afternoon she was last seen.."said Detective Sgt. Sam Smith,.

"You're probably right....I can't determine the exact day or time of death, but I can tell you this..She had been down there a long time and you all might have never found her except...this cement was so weak, so cheap, that after a week, the water eroded it and it wasted away, causing her to float to the top."said Dr. Hazel Baylor.  "Marine divers have picked up the rest if it..." she added...

"Oh Myyyyy!" said Jade..

"And I'll tell you something else..She was pregnant....At least one month pregnant at the time of death.."said Hazel...

This caught Jade, Sam Smith and Sean Holmes's attention....

Just then ,Lt. Tragg barged in....

"Sam I told you to give me a heads up if you came to the M.E.'s Office.." he peered at Jade..

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? ARE YOU WORKING FOR THAT LITTLE GIRL THAT GOT HOLDEN RELEASED FROM JAIL?" he bellowed.

"I'm doing my job as an investigator...Perhaps you should have been here, doing yours..."said Jade.

"She's right....Had you of been here you'd of heard that the girl was not dropped into the river alive as you've been saying on the television....Not that it makes her death any less appalling, but she was strangled and killed before hand and then shackled with a chain and a cheap cement weight and dropped in the river....The cement was so cheap it withered away after a week and she floated to the top.."said ADA Sean Holmes..

"That's right and she was pregnant too, One month...Dr. Baylor is doing extensive DNA testing...We might get a hit on who the father is."said Detective Sam Smith..

"We know who the father is.. Holden Louden..."said Lt. Tragg.

''We don't know that..."said Dr. Hazel Baylor.

"That's right...We don't know that and I don't want you muddying the waters of this case any further...There are to be no more press conferences, do you hear me? No more information about what we learned here today...That is an order....Go back to her apartment, see if you can find anything...Talk to her friends....but stay off the television. Do I make myself clear?" said ADA Sean Holmes..

"VERY CLEAR!~" said Lt. Tragg, very angry!  He didn't like this pretty boy...He knew it.

Lt. Tragg was a s red as a beat.... He stomped his foot and stormed out...

Hazel and Jade smiled..

Bee Bee and I kissed as we got off the elevator.

"OUUUUUU HOT STUFF, I love your soft lips." said Bee Bee..

"Down Boy!"laughed Bee Bee... "There will be time for that after work, when we are at home.."she laughed...

We brought coffee's for everybody...and churros.

"Ummm that coffee smells sooo good." said Ms. Yvette...We had gotten it from her favorite coffee shop,

a few blocks from our building..

She took a disinfectant wipe and wiped Bee Bee's lipstick smudges from my face..

"You love her to death don't you? Can't keep your hands off of her." said Yvette.

"Guilty as charged." I said with a smile.

"I love him to death too!" said Bee Bee, applying her lipstick.

We went to the conference room where everyone else was waiting...

"Ouuuuuuuu Churros! Thank you girlfriend.."said Sofia.. "I gave Bee Bee her first Churro ,when we were five." said Sofia.

"You two have known each other a long time." mused Virginia.

"Oh My God...Since we could walk... Beatrice lived across the driveway from me...She was like my first friend....Daycare, Pre-school, Elementary School, Middle School, High School, College and Law School." said Sofia.

''And you both pledged the same sorority..oh my god...got married three weeks apart and live next door to each other..That's sister hood."said Alexa.

"We were both only children...So we kinda are sisters.." said Bee Bee.

"I didn't meet them both until High School....and I followed them to college and law school."said Kahlil.

"I met the three of them in law school and they let me join the tribe." I said.

"When I was hand picking them for this job...I was only going by their high LSAT scores and their equally high Bar Exam scores....I knew they all graduated from PENN together, but I had no idea they were a clique.."laughed Yvette...

"WOWWWWW!" said Ms. Virginia.

"WOW! That is some story." said Alexa as we all drank our coffees and ate our churros.

"Good Morning Everybody." said Holden Louden....He was on time...Actually a few minutes early...

"Heyyyy What have we got here, Churros?" he said.

"YOU KNOW ABOUT CHURROS?" asked Sofia..

"Yeah, I grew up amongst Puerto Ricans in what they now call Northern Liberties....We just called it Fishtown when I was coming up..."said Holden..

"Heyyyy Sofia, Kahlil and me are from that hood too!"said Bee Bee.

"Yeah I loved Churros....Pastiellios too!" said Holden...

"You're alright with me...." said Sofia.

''Where did you grow up Alexa?" asked Kahlil.

"South Side Chicago....I came here for Law School...University of Pennsylvania, just like you guys." said Alexa.

"I grew up in West Philly. I went to Howard University and then University of Pennsylvania Law School." I said as we ate our Churros and drank coffee..

Jade walked in just then..

"Heyyyyy sit down Jade...We have coffee and Churros."said Yvette.

I looked at photos of her...She was a pretty girl...I felt sorry for Holden, lusting after her, trying to

get with her and being turned away....

"She's very pretty."said Bee Bee.

"Yes she is.."said Sofia.

"I'm sorry your relationship didn't work out...Maybe she might still be alive if she had stayed with you."said Kahlil.

''She was my Para-legal....but she was working with another attorney with a very well heeled client..A client that owned a construction company....A Client that was being sued by a number of builders for supplying them with cheap cement..."said Alexa.

"Did she have a relationship with this client?" asked Jade.

"I don't know for sure....but I do know her tuition was paid for a full year at Middleton School of Law and our firm wasn't paying it..." said Alexa.

"That needs some looking into." said Yvette.

Colin looked at a photo of Haley Barbera... He had lusted over her mightily... 

He had spent almost an entire paycheck taking her to the trendy restaurant, Gazspachos...

He remembered that hot red mini skirt.....and how after drinking and eating all night at one of the trendiest spots in the city...He didn't even get a good night kiss...

What angered hm was that someone else got a lot more than that....She had been pregnant ,one month pregnant at the time of her death.

"Holden, turn your phone off and disable the GPS...We are going to lock it in our safe..."said Yvette.

"Write this number down, remember it...This is a burner phone....Don't call our personal phone numbers or our business phone numbers....Call this number to talk to us...This Phone is clean.."said Bee Bee..

She passed him the phone..

"Ouu Cloak and dagger stuff.."laughed Holden...

"This is a Portal...This is your way of keeping up with how your trial is going...So you don't have to keep coming back here...."said Sofia.. passing him the Portal.

"Check yourself into a hotel...Use your real name.."I said.

"Keep a real low profile." said Kahlil.

''Any hotels near where you live cutie pie?" asked Holden...

"None that I know of...and my name is Alexa Pratt, Attorney Alexa Pratt, not cutie pie!" said Alexa.

"Okayyyyy cool it....I meant nothing by it..." said Holden.

We all smiled , but said nothing.

In the Judges Chambers at the Courthouse...

Judge Gloria Bridell had finished her first day back in the court... She was finishing up her day and

applying her lipstick...

Assistant District Attorney Sean Holmes walked into the chambers, closed the door and locked it..

"Sean!! How are you?" asked Judge Bridell...

After a few minutes, Judge Peterson, Elaine Young, Natalie, David, Brooke , Karen Page and Lt. Tragg moved on.....

Assistant District Attorney Sean Holmes got dressed..

That Afternoon-

Dinner time at our building..

"WOWWW! This is some cafeteria....It reminds me of a Buffet in an Atlantic City Hotel..You guys eat all of your meals in here?" asked Holden.

''All Three on days like this, when we are not in court.."said Ms. Yvette.

"It's nice aint it?" I said, smiling..

"It's nice...and we get to eat with our neighbors and friends ." said Bee Bee.

"We love it!" said Sofia.

"I take it, it gets your approval."laughed Kahlil.

"Oh yeah.."said Holden staring at Alexa's breasts...

She was sitting across from him with Jade  and Virginia and her husband, Jetty.

The others soon came in, got their food and sat down near us..

"Hey everybody.."said Jazzy.
 

''Hey what's going on?" said Dabnis.

"Goin Home and running a hot bath and relaxing....That's what happening.." said Kayla.

"It sure was....Did you hear all that racket coming out of the Judges Chambers...wow?" said Natalie.

"Yeah somebody was getting their thing on." said David.

"I'm never going to do anything in the Judges Chambers...So don't get any ideas David."said Natalie ,laughing.

"Never say never..."laughed Brooke.

''So We can do it in the Judges Chambers right?" said her husband, Sean.

"No, I didn't say that." laughed Brooke.

"You guys are soo funny."laughed Zoey.

"Awwwww quittin time!" said Lem.

"Yup! Time to get on out of here and head home..." said Renee.

"End of a long day..."said Tyrell.

"I can't wait to get home..."said Paris.

"Yeah me too."said Tony.

"Let's take a nice hot shower together ." said Lee.

"This is a nice afternoon to just chill."said Nina.

Holden watched as we all boarded the train that was going to take us home... He was going in the opposite direction...

He looked at the photo of Haley...

and he thought about what might have been...
