"I was doing fine in Atlanta...Al Davis was in Atlanta...a few months ago..He told me there was a vacancy in the States Attorney's Office...I saw the salary and I jumped at it.. They paid for me to move back to Philly.. I'm renting a house in Bayside...

When I met my new boss, the State's Attorney, I was attracted to her right away...and I think she was attracted to me too!

We talked a lot.. about more than just law and cases, sports,politics, everything...our lives. We found we had a lot in common... I told her I went to Law School with both you and Olivia... She admires you both and the attorneys who work with you guys a lot..

Everything started out innocent..We went to Lunch a few times, then to dinner...Then Eagles games, Sixers games and out for drinks... but we hadn't slept together...It hadn't gone that far.." explained a contrite Greg Garland..

''Did it get sexual?" asked Yvette, although she knew the answer...She knew Greg, he wouldn't have hung around too long if it hadn't.

"No...Not then...and you know me Vettie, It wasn't for lack of trying..on my part. " he said.

"Yes I know you." said Ms. Yvette.

Yvette, Bee Bee, Sofia and Ms. Virginia looked at each and smiled that conspiratorial smile women smile to each other when they know something is true.

"She suggested we go on a nice vacation...a mini vacay together..She was worried about those two cases that Al Davis was running.. The Voters Rights Case and the Police Reform Case.. After you guys won the first case, She relented and left with me... The Villa we stayed in was courtesy of a good friend, Rollie Rollerson, the millionaire entreprenuer..I did some free legal work for him a few years ago..He owed me a favor.. He has a small villa in Barbados...He said we could use it for free , for two weeks. Yvette, all we paid for was our airline tickets... I paid for her round trip tickets out of my pocket.. All we paid for was our food..We didn't use any Public Funds..but I know whoever leaked this and whoever is urging the Government to probe her..is going to say we used Public funds for our little trip. We didn't.." said Greg.

"I take it your uh relationship with Ms. Mosley got uh sexual on this trip?" I asked, and then realized it was a dumb question..

"Come on mannnn, A private villa on a sunny island , balmy temperatures, two weeks away from everybody...Of course it got sexual." he said.

Kahlil laughed...

"Not from everybody...The Press and the Media knew about you two as you were getting off the plane...They knew what time you two arrived here in Philadelphia and your gate...That was some leak." said  Jade.

''Who knew you two were going to Barbados?"asked Ms. Yvette.

"Only Alvin Davis

and he'd never betray Tanya...The man loves her..If he wasn't Gay, I'd be jealous. He knew about my arrangement with Rollie Rollerson, and besides he was in court with you guys during that time..His entire focus was on those two cases.

"Linda didn't know where we were going , just that we were going and she left for San-Francisco that same day we left..It wasn't her..It couldn't be anyone in our shop.

"Then this sounds like a Private Investigator...Somebody put a P.I. on you..." said Yvette.

"They just try to get at this woman everytime she does anything..If she buys a Birthday Cake or a bottle of Champaigne They swear she's used Public Funds." snarled Greg.

"I understand. So Gregory , what do you want from me, from us?" asked Ms. Yvette.

He stood and looked at us.. A Panoramic view.

"I want you to represent me... and I'll pay you out of my pocket...No Public Funds." he stated plainly.

At the moment States Attorney Tanya Mosley was facing the press,,,

"Ms. Mosley...it has been alleged that you and Special Prosecutor , Greg Garland are having an improper relationship and that you and he recentlt vacationed in Barbados using public funds, do you care to comment on that?" asked a reporter.

''You know my office just won a landmark Voting rights case that kept illegal redrawn districting from disenfranchising major African-American and Latino districts , how come no one wants to talk to me about that? We also won a major Police Reform case that will be beneficial to all of our citizens under my direction...I mean these things are things worth talking about...Not my personal life."said Tanya Mosley.

"But you don't deny canoodling with Special Prosecutor, Greg Garland in a Villa in Barbados the past two weeks on the Public dime.?" asked another reporter.

"No comment guys." said Tanya Mosley...

"As her attorney , I am saying again...NO COMMENT! That is all boys." said Attorney Linda Gorman as Tanya Mosley left the podium...She neither denied or confirmed the questions about her recent mini -vacay or her relationship with Greg Garland.

II-

THE NEXT DAY-

Bee Bee, Sofia, Kahlil and myself sat n our conferene room...We were familliarizing ourselves with our client.. Greg Garland...A man we'd knowned for four years...A man we'd represented about two or three other times.

''He's quite accomplished" said Bee Bee.

"I'll say...He can practically write his own ticket, his record." said Sofia.

"Yeah..he's worked in London, Atlanta and for heavy hitters too." said Kahlil.

" And still working for heavy hitters...but he's like a Nomad..He's never settled anywhere." I said gazing at the laptop...We had googled Greg Garland, Attorney at law.

''You're right , he has never settled.. He was the same way with women...Jumping from bed to bed and never being happy with one." said Ms. Yvette.

"Maybe that's changed... Yesterday , he seemed stuck on Tanya Mosley, almost like he was in love with her." said Ms. Jade.

"Maybe....or she could be another stop along the way...A Longer stop.." said Ms. Yvette.

''Ms. Yvette, you said you and he were a thing once..Were you guys in love?" asked Bee Bee.

"No...I know not on my end.. I was in my second year of law school...He was about to graduate...I had a whole nother year to go... He used to come by my room with a six pack of beer and a turbo joint...We'd drink, get zooted and wind up in bed...He was good in bed...but after it was over, he was gone...I might not see him for weeks...I never even thought of him as my boyfriend..." said Ms. Yvette.

"He was just a friend with benefits eh Ms. Yvette.?" asked Kahlil.

"Yeah!" sighed Ms. Yvette.

"Tanya Mosley was ambushed at her office by the media...She tried to steer the conversation to her offices recent accomplishments...The Landmark Voting Rights verdict and the Police Reform bill, but all they wanted to talk about was the Mini Vacay in Barbadoes with Greg Garland... She neither confirmed or denied it..." said Jade.

"That was smart on her part..Whoever had them followed ,probably has damning photos of the two of them...That's my guess...If she had flat out lied and denied it...Then the photos would slowly start leaking to the press and the internet...and she'd be caught in a lie.. By not saying anything, she leaves it open...They can't release damning photos of her yet....but it's coming...They are going to keep this story brewing ,keep tongues wagging and then the photos will slowly slip out."said Yvette.

"Who is they? Who do you think is behind this?"

"Wade Flemmings for one..

He's as slick as canned grease..and he's under indictment.. Greg is prosecuting him for a variety of charges...If he can discredit both Greg and Tanya...well you see where this is going...but it's not just him...that snake Bryce Barnes , 

who twice ran against her and lost..." said Ms. Yvette.

"Tanya Mosley is yet to publicly comment on the allegations. I'm going to look into who might have given them this information...It sounds like our friend, P.I. Bert Vandenberg." said Ms. Jade. 

Wallace Payton, Wade Flemming's attorney has now outright  accused Greg Garland and Tanya Mosley of having “violated laws regulating the use of public monies, suffer from irreparable conflicts of interest, and have violated their oaths of office under the Pennsylavnia Rules of Professional Conduct and should be disqualified from prosecuting this matter.”

"Should we send him a cease and desist order?" asked Kahlil.

"No...we do nothing...We sit tight...The Ball is in their court right now...We Wait."said Ms. Yvette.

''What kind of trouble is this Wade Flemming in?" I asked.

"Wade Flemming's upcoming indictment is the result of his handling of shares in a pharmaceutical company named Biochem Pharma. During his representation of marijuana dealer Claude Bubois. Flemming had transferred a large portion of DuBois's assets into his own accounts. The stock, worth about $5.9 million, was supposed to be included in the forfeiture of assets that DuBois made as part of a plea bargain. 

It had been held by Flemming because it would be sold immediately if it came into government possession, but it was expected to rise dramatically in value. Flemming later refused to turn it over, saying that it was payment of his legal fees and not part of DuBois's asset forfeiture.

 In addition, Flemming said that the stock was collateral for loans that he had received, and so could not be sold until the loans were repaid.

These arguments were rejected by the court; the stock rose in value to about $20 million, and Flemming then argued that, if he turned over the stock so that it could be sold, he was entitled to keep the difference between what it was valued at when he received it and its new, higher price.

 After Flemming was imprisoned for six weeks in 2016 for contempt of court, Bryce Barnes, a partner at his law firm raised the money that enabled Flemming to turn the stock over to the government, and he was released.

If convicted of these charges...he faces disbarrment and 1- 3 years in prison.  This is a very important case."said Ms. Yvette.

"WOWWWW!  I can see how all of them are in on this.." said Bee Bee.

"Ouuuu he is as slick as canned grease." said Sofia..

''And the people propping him up are even slicker." said Ms. Jade.

Attorney Wallace Payton stood with his client, Wade Flemming and spoke to the press-

"The Governor has been forced to launch a probe into  State Attorney , Tanya Mosley 

over allegations she had an “improper” relationship with Greg Garland. My  client  no longer feels confident he is being prosecuted by somebody without “an axe to grind It’s very difficult when she ,States Attorney Tanya Mosley has an intimate relationship with the person in charge of trying the case,”  

He also described the original appointment of Greg Garland to the role of special prosecutor as a shock given his "lack of experience."   “This is a very difficult case to try and the fact that this is somebody with no experience is mind-boggling,” he said. According to Wallace Payton, the ideal outcome for his client would be for the state Attorney General to appoint another special prosecutor to take over the case. "he said.

We were watching the whole thing on the news while having dinner with our friends, Olivia and Beverly.

"Vettie , I know Greg has asked you to represent him...Tanya's attorney, Linda Gorman and and her Cheif of Staff, Alvin Davis were here today...We are going to represent Tanya... She would like to meet with both groups tomorrow..."said Olivia.

 

''She wants it to look innocent...So she wants it to be someplace out of the way...Our choice..and for the cost of it to come out of our pockets..."said Donnie Ray.

''A Dinner meeting somewhere. A place that can't be bugged and a place we can't be followed." said Beverly.

"I'm sure it's known that we are all are having dinner here tonight." said Nelson...

"These guys are soooo slippery, Everytime Tanya takes a drink...they try to say she used public funds." said Josie.

"They don't want her in that office...They've tried two times to unseat her." said Paris.

"And they've failed and they are going to fail to discredit her again."said Bresha.

"If the money for her vacation didn't come from Public funds...what's the problem?" asked Tony.

"They are saying he used money he was paid by her office to take her on this vacation in the islands..

''Well the man is working...Is that a crime?"asked Rockland.

 

 "It's not a crime...and he didn't do that...Rollie Rollerson gave him the keys to that Villa...It was free.All he paid for was his airline tickets." said Yvette.

"There is no crime there..They got a whole lotta nothing." said Gary...

''But they are winning in the court of Public Opinion."I said.

"And that's where we stand." sighed Bee Bee.

''We've got to take the public's mind off of this issue...It's a non-issue." said Sofia.

"Yeah but it's stuff like this the public loves, Sexual Scandal.." said Kahlil.

"Well we are going to sit tight and wait for them to make the next move." said  Jade.

"What they've got is a whole lot of nothing." said Danny Ho.

'The kind of nothing people like, lurid sex." said Virginia.

"YESsSSSSSSSSSSSsss1" said her husband, Jetty..

"Oh Hush Up....That's all you think about...giggled Ms. Virginia.

We finished dinner and crossed the street and went home...

"Gary, I've got a secret and I have to tell somebody...So it might as well be you." said Ms. Yvette.

''What's Up?"asked Gary...

''Well, Olivia and her people know... but I haven't told the kids or even Jade and Virginia yet, but Tanya is across the street in Olivia's sub-basement.. She didn't eat dinner with us because we didn't want everybody to know...plus we thought the house might be being watched tonight...She's been over there since their meeting today...They drove two different cars in order to throw Bert Vandenberg off."said Ms. Yvette.

"WHATTTTTTTTT?" laughed Gary...

"Yeah, she is all set up , where she can work remotely from there and they can help her with a possible defense." said Yvette.

''Where is lover boy? I mean Gregory."laughed Gary..

"I know who you meant....He's not there...I suppose he's at his home in Bayside."laughed Yvette.

IV-

Elsewhere that same night..

We had all come home after dinner with Olivia and Beverly and their team..We were all settled down with our significant others.. What better way to spend a cold winter night than to be making love.?

Bee Bee was wearing another sheer see through Baby doll.....She had just taken a hot shower and walked into our bedroom..

My eyes popped out of my head..She had on a new bra and matching panties that I hadn't seen before.

She giggled..

"I'm gonna start watching you when you get dressed in the morning."I said.

I pulled her towards me...Is this something you bought at Bridget's store the other day?" I asked.

That same night, across the street at Olivia and Beverly's Office Duplex, there was a ringing of the side door bell.

"You haven't seen the half of it... She and Donnie Ray live on the third floor...They have the whole floor..  Beverly and her husband, Nelson live on the floor below them, beautiful place.. They have a conference room, a kitchen on th first floor, a complete law library and a media room...They run their whole operation in this building and their whole crew lives on this street...Yvette and Gary live across the street and their whole crew lives on this street too." said Tanya.

She pointed to a small worktable.

"Olivia has me set up where I can work remotely from here for a few days...I won't be dogged by that Private Investigator or the press." said Tanya. "Olivia and Yvette are good friends and I'm going to do something nice for them, Out of my pocket soon...I really am...I love them both and I admire their legal expertise." said Tanya.

"WOW! And I knew them both when they were room-mates at Penn Law School...How far they both have come..Married, Successful, Yvette is partner at a major law firm, got her own suite and her own little organization...and Olivia has her own practice...They've both come a lonnnnng way." mused Greg.

''Were you followed?" asked Tanya.

"Nah....Poor Bert Vandenberg...All four of his tires were cut and flattened...I'm sure he was sick about that...Alvin rented a car and he dropped me off here. My car is in the indoor garage of Yvette's building."said Gregory... He smiled. "I did bring my toothbrush."

"Well thank God for that." she laughed...She stared at him...His trousers were standing out like a circus tent.. She became self conscious...She was after all standing here in just a short t-shirt and panties..The poor man couldn't help himself she thought. 

"I missed you." she whispered..

"I missed you too!" he said..
