 We had just finished a strenuous workout with Trainer, Joey Page... and his protoge' Francesca..

We had done a mixture of Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts....The training was intense and serious...Francesca was very good..I certainly didn't want to mess with her one on one.

"Great workout guys." he said.. "See you guys next week." he said.

We were , myself, Attorney Keith Jones

My buddy and partner and crime...Kahlil Ahmed...

and an old friend of ours from Law School, Attorney Jeffrey Robinson..

"Gee Guys...It was soo good to see you guys again and hang out with you....Mannn we had some times in law school huh?" 

''Did we ever..." I laughed.. Contrary to popular opinion...The four of us, Me, Khalil, Bee Bee and Sofia had other friends that we hung out with ...It's just that the four of us were the closest...Jeffrey was funny, he was so full of himself...He imagined himself as somewhat of a ladies man, but the truth was, he was anything but...Still , he was good people and as smart as a whip...He helped both me and my girlfriend, Beatrice "Bee Bee" Evans and my friends, Sofia and Kahlil

out quite a bit in a couple of classes...He tried to romance both Bee Bee and Sofia at different times during our three years but they both rejected his advances.

"How was it out in Cali ? You were like the first one of us to get a job after law school..Next thing I know, you were gone?" said Kahlil..

"Cali was beautiful....The women were all over me...I went to Hawaii for one case..I had three women on me...It was exhausting...Butttttt uh ahhh I got homesick for Philly, I got an offer at a stellar law firm here I couldn't refuse andddd, here I am....Soooo I heard that uh you four wound up at McCluskey/Cozen/Connor and Pratt ....I uh also heard that you and Sofia

 finally got together..huh Kahlil?? Yeah, I remember uh first year law school, she used to have a crush on me...but uh, I could sense how attracted you were to her, so I can of backed off.." he said.

"Oh you did huh? well thanks!" said Kahlil, laughing to himself.. If Sofia had anything for him, she never mentioned it him ,he thought and smiled..

"And Keith...I hear you and Bee Bee are pretty hot and heavy now of days...You two finally stopped pretending and got together huh?  Good.. 

EVERYBODY KNEW YOU TWO LIKED EACH OTHER! I KNEW IT WHEN WE WERE DATING!  She talked about you so much that I had to let her go...I'm just glad she got with you and none of those other losers that was trying to beat my time.." he said..

"Yeah she's the love of my life now...Thanks man, for backing off." I said and looked at Kahlil and laughed..

"So how long you been back? You seeing anybody?" I asked.

"I've been back  for about a month now..I'm seeing a real fox..She'll be meeting me at Sam Mother's diner..She's the new Assistant District Attorney..Her name is Lola Albright.." said Jeffrey.

"REALLY? HER??" asked Kahlil..

"You know her?" asked Jeffrey...

"Yeah...She came by our office...Apparently she and our boss, Ms. Yvette have history...They knew each other..."I said..

"Well we've been on two dates...Hopefully she and I will have some history...Come on, let's go to Sam's...Haven't been in there in years and I'm eager to see Bee Bee and Sofia." said Jeffrey.

II-

At Sam Mother's Diner , Ms. Yvette, Ms, Jade, Bee Bee and Sofia were entertaining the new ADA Lola Albright...

"Lola, I'm so happy that you're back in Philadelphia..I've missed you so...Hopefully we won't have to go up against each other.." said Ms. Yvette...

"I hope not either...We used to have so much fun in the early days...You're Senior Associate now huh? Way to hang in there girl...I used to work at another law firm in the same building you guys are in now..I started there around the same time Yvette started at her firm...Since we were the only Black girls in the building at the time...We naturally started hanging out , going to lunch, going to Josie's for drinks after work..It was fun for three years....Then I got a job in Atlanta and I moved away...Now I'm back, working in the D.A.'s office and reunited with my old friend.." laughed Lola..

''Wowwww..That's soo nice.." said Jade..

''So girl, you gotta tell us, Atlanta men or Philly men?" laughed Bee Bee..

"Yeah spill the tea...We already have boyfriends...We are kind of out of the loop..."said Sofia..

"They're involved with the other two members of our team, who should be here shortly." said Ms. Yvette.

''Well..Atlanta men are okay....I've been on two dates with this guy....He's a real cornball...and I can't get rid of him...The fact that I'm older than him makes no difference...He just returned to Philly too..He was out in Los Angelas...He's really full of himself..a real turn off..He's an Attorney too..His name is Jeff...Jeffrey Robinson..." sighed Lola..

"JEFFREY ROBINSON??? OH MY GOD!!! NOOOOOO!  "said Bee Bee..

"Wait!  You know him?" asked Lola..

"Yessss, we were in law school with him...First year law...We had a class together...I was having some problems..He was real smart , so we studied together in the law library a few nights and I even let him come up to my room...Big mistake..He tried to kiss me and was all over me...I told him it wasn't that kind of party...And he flooded me with cards, flowers and phone calls for about a month...I lied and told him that Kahlil and I were about to get serious...We weren't a couple yet...but it kept him away from me.."said Sofia.

''Second year Law School...We went out on three dates...One was a movie, another one was a nice dinner and the third one was dinner and a movie...He thought he was my MAN after that...It was the same thing, flowers , cards, multiple phone calls and stopping by all times of night without calling..I had to set him straight...He didn't take it too well, he stopped speaking to me for an entire year...He didn't start speaking until again until near graduation.. I was just not interested in him that way..He bragged about himself and his accomplishments in high school the entire time we were on dates..And yes, he was too handsy, always trying to get a kiss..squeezing my boobs, feeling on my butt...He was just too much"said Bee Bee ,sighing...

''We got paired together by a dating service.. The Atlas Dating Service...believe it or not..I guess they matched us because we were both Attorneys...but the age difference...I'm several years older than him..was only one thing..I might have dealt..but he was just too full of himself..All his big talk...I suspect he's very insecure...but I'm in no mood to mother another man...I went through that with my ex...and he was older than me..I've tried to let this guy down easy..but he just doesn't get it."said Lola.

"Oh Look...here come my guys now..."said Ms. Yvette..

"Hey guys...over here......You remember my friend, Lola Albright...Assistant District Attorney Lola Albright now.. Lola, this is Keith Jones, Bee Bee's significant other.." said Yvette.

"Hello.." I said.. She smiled at me seductively...

"Well helllllllo, Bee Bee girl, you better hang on to him." she laughed..

Bee Bee laughed..

"I do the best I can." she giggled..

"This is Kahlil Ahmed..Sofia's boyfriend...and this rounds out my four attorneys...Got em right out of Penn, had just passed the bar, was still wet behind the ears..."laughed Yvette..

"Hello...We met last week.."said Kahlil..

"Ummmmmmmmm and I didn't remember you? My my myyy..Sofia...give me a pound girlfriend...I'm envious of you both."said Lola, smiling..

"That's my Papi." said Sofia, giggling...

"Bee Bee, Sofia...so nice to see you two again....Wowwwww...You two are still hotties..."said Jeffrey..

"Hi Jeffrey!"said Bee Bee..

"Hi Jeffrey." said Sofia..

He walked over to Lola and gave her flowers..

Beautiful Tulips in a vase..

"For you my dear...Apparently you've met my college friends..We All attended Penn Law School together, graduated together and passed the bar around the same time.."said Jeffrey, who leaned over and kissed her ..

We could look at Lola and tell she really didn't like him taking that kind of liberty with her and in front of all of us..

"Jeffrey keep the flowers....I've tried to be nice....But you don't seem to get the hint...Don't give me anymore flowers, no more gifts...No more texts, no more emails and don't call me..I don't wish to see you anymore..Now please!"said Lola..

Jeffrey was obviously embarrassed ..Yet he tried to play it off..."Oh ,I suppose I have been coming on a little uh strong...Okay...I'll lay back...How about in two weeks huh?" he asked..

"Ohhhhh Goddddddd Noooooo!" she said and got up and left.... "Vettie, I'll talk to you later, Jade, Keith, Bee Bee, Sofia , Kahlil...So nice meeting you...I'll talk to you all later.." she said and ran off.

"Must be that time of month for her huh?" he said.

This drew collective groans from Bee Bee, Sofia and Jade..

"Hey man look, it uh didn't appear as if she was as much into you as you said.."I said, deciding to stop playing along with his self delusions and give him a dose of reality..

"It's okay man...Everybody isn't for everybody..There are other girls.."said Kahlil..

"Nah man, she's into me...We've been dating for awhile now...She's just a little under the weather that's all..I'm going to call her this afternoon and make sure she's alright...Uh look...It was nice seeing you guys and all..but I gotta jet..We'll talk." he said and he left...

"You guys were in law school with him...Was he always this delusional?" asked Ms. Yvette.

"I'm afraid so Ms. Yvette...We usually just humored him." I said.

"I didn't...I told you I had to hurt his feelings to get him off of me..I know what she's going through."sighed Bee Bee..

"Yeah, he fancies himself a ladies man.."laughed Kahlil..

"HA!  that's a laugh.."said Sofia..

Ms. Jade laughed..
 

 III-

ADA Lola Albright had a date tonight..She hurried home..

"What is this.?" she asked as she approached her steps..  It was a Bouquet of roses..

Multi-colored roses with a card...

''Sorry if I embarrassed you this afternoon...We should keep our thing on the low.."-Jeff Robinson.

She groaned.....

She took the roses and deposited them in the trash can at the corner of her block...

HOURS LATER-

She and her date, Trevor Lawson were returning from their date..

"Oh Trevor, I so enjoyed our date...." she said.

"I'm glad you did....Perhaps I could come in...For coffee.." he said and smiled raffishly...

"Okay....but just for coffee...Remember, this is only our second date.." she cautioned and smiled.

She allowed him inside..

They had had a very nice night..

They had gone to a very nice restaurant and had a delicious meal..

Then had gone to Aqua Bar and danced the night away..

and now it was 2:30...

They were inside her home..

Her phone was ringing...She let it ring and go to voicemail...She checked her messages...There was 27, all from Jeffrey Robinson....

"There a problem?" asked Trevor Lawson.

"No, just some guy I used to date...He can't take the hint that I'm not interested.."said  Lola.

"Hmmmm must have been good!" he laughed...

"He wouldn't know....He didn't have any." she said and they both laughed.

She put a pot of coffee on..

"Here you are...A cup of coffee..." she said smiling..

He sipped his coffee and smiled at her raffishly...

He pulled her to him and kissed her passionately for a few minutes..She could feel his erection in his trousers...He rubbed her behind and began to run his hands up her dress..

She removed his hands..

"You've already had a little more than coffee....I've really got to get some sleep..Perhaps we can uh talk about this some other time..okayyy?" she said diplomatically...

"Who needs to talk baby?" he said and pulled her to him and kissed her again, softer, slower....

"Mmmmmmmmmmmm baby you feel goooood!" he moaned...He ran his hands up her dress, he let them linger on her soft behind and he slowly began to ease her panties down...Moaning...

"Oh My Godddd!"

She slowly, but firmly removed his hands from up under her dress and fixed her clothes...Easing out of his embrace...

" Okayyyyy Trevor let's take it slow....This is just our second date....Don't get all worked up for nothing...It's not going to happen like that....Not tonight...just ease up..Take it slow.." she said.

"Baby...I think we've taken it slow enough...I'm ready to move to the next level...in your bedroom and deep into your panties." he moaned as he kissed her passionately and up against the wall...

"Ummmmmm...." he moaned and unzippered his trousers..

She pushed him away....

"Not tonight okay?" she said sternly...  "Chill out!! There will be plenty of time for that..Let's get to know each other first alright." she said softly..

"This is our second date...I done spent $150.00 tonight alone.. Dinner, Wine, dancin.....I'm ready for a return on my investment.." he said angrilly..

"I think you should leave....Lose my number too! AND DON't RETURN!!!"said Lola sternly...

"Yeah, that's a damn good idea.." he said angrilly and stormed out, slamming her door..

She watched out the window as he pulled off...

She sighed...Another one bites the dust...

AN HOUR LATER-

Jeffrey Robinson knocked on her door and rang her doorbell...

"Lola...Lola, I know you're there....I see the light on in your living room... I've called you several times...Baby come on...Talk to me.." I know it's late, but I'm up and you're up...Let's talk." he said..

He tried the door...It was open...He walked in...

"OH MY GOD!!!!" he screamed..

Lola Albright was in the middle of her living room floor... DEAD!!! Apparently, she'd been strangled!!!

 

AT OUR APARTMENT BUILDING-

Bee Bee took that long hot bath she was talking about..So did Sofia.... and then went to bed alone in their apartment..

 I took a long hot shower myself and went to sleep in my apartment...It was 11:00 pm...

11:45 pm...I was awakened from a peaceful sleep by a knock on my door.. I went to the door..

Bee Bee was there with a Night gown on that came to her hips and was very sheer....My eyes nearly popped out of my head..

 "I can't sleep Hot stuff..Do you mind if I spend the night with you?" she asked..

 I suddenly had a huge erection...Which she noticed...She giggled....

''Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu….Weeeee!!!! Look at you! Ouuuuuuuuuu! Why do you always get like that everytime I come down here ?" she said..and giggled...

I motioned for her to come in...I closed the door.. I didn't answer her question...It was quite obvious by now,,

 "Thank You.."she said as she walked straight to my bedroom.....She stared at me again...

"WOW! Look at that thing....Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuu!" she said and laughed...

I pulled her nightgown up and ran my hands down into her panties and squeezed her butt...Showering her with soft kisses...

 "Mmmmmmmm..Thank You Hot Stuff!" she said..kissing me softly as we fell on my bed...

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you're welcome..." I said..

"Ouuuuuuuu anytime I can make you happy , just let me know....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh my godddd!" she moaned as I entered her softly..

"You always make me happy!" I said..

"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!" she said.

 Nothing like a nice quickie...to really put you to sleep I thought as we began making sweet love and my bed began to squeak out of control...

  Sofia was already in Kahlil's room..

  She was sitting on top of him, riding him and kissing him passionately...

  She was on top of him, riding him like a surfer rides a wave within minutes..

"Ouuuuuu Papi, you feel so good...." she said..

"Mamasita you are driving me crazy.." he said..

"You like it papi?" she moaned..

"Yes....I love it...." he said..

"I love you" she said softly...

"I love you too!...ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..." he moaned..

as they made sweet love....

5:00 am...

It was early in the morning...The Crime Scene Investigators and Forensic Specialists were dusting for prints and looking for DNA or any clues...

The familliar sign of two police cars drove up...Facing each other..

Lt. Tragg walked in...He saw Lola Albright's body lying on the floor in the living room...He didn't have to be told who she was..

"Crimminy...That's the new Assistant District Attorney, Lola Albright...What the hell happened and who are you?" he asked a young Black man standing in the middle of the floor.

"I'm Dr. Carter, Cedric Carter, of the Coroner's Office...Dr. Hazel Baylor doesn't come on duty until later.. and you must be, Lieutenant Tragg of Homicide.... Yes...This is unfortunately ADA Lola Albright..Cause of death appears to be manual strangulation...There is no evidence of sexual assault...Time of death is estimated to be around 3:00 am-3:30....She hasn't been dead long.." he said.

"This is big, The D.A. and the Deputy of Operations is going to want action on this fast...Good thing I'm on the job..." said Lt. Tragg...

"Doesn't look like robbery was the motive Lieutenant, everything is here...Nothing is in disarray.."said another detective..

"Beds were made, hadn't been slept in...Only thing in the kitchen were two coffee cups...Coffee Pot was still brewing..She might have had a late night visitor."said an officer..

"No sign of forced entry either."said another officer..

A crowd of people gathered outside as the body was being brought out...

Lt. Tragg addressed the press , 

who he had anonymously called to the scene..

"This is a huge tragedy....She was a bright and shining star in the city...Had just begun working at the D.A.'s office... To the killer out there...If you're watching...I want you to know that I'm going to GET YOU, if it's the last thing I do!" he said dramatically....

Hours later...We still hadn't heard the news...We were all in Sam Mothers preparing to eat a piping hot breakfast...

Bee Bee, Jade and I 

had Pancakes..

while Sofia and Kahlil had Waffles..

we all had

Hash Browns

Breakfast Sausages

and hot coffee...

"Guys...Guys...You won't believe this...It's Lola.." said Jeffrey, who came running in looking wild eyed...

"Ohhhh Boyyy." sighed Bee Bee

"Here we go!" said Sofia..

"SHE's DEAD!!!!!! SHE'S BEEN MURDERED!!!!" he said.

"DEAD???" I said in shock...We had just seen her yesterday...It was always hard to believe someone was dead when you had just seen them..

"DEAD??? YOU SURE MAN??? HOW DO YOU KNOW??"asked Kahlil..

"I FOUND THE BODY!  Look, I sent her some flowers yesterday after we were in here, to smooth things over...The I must have called her 27 times and it kept going to voice mail..after that, I went over her house...I was worried..It was 3:30 in the morning..Her door was open and she was on the living room floor, dead!!" he said in between sobs...

Jade pointed to the Television Monitor  in Sam Mother's Diner...

''Sam could you turn that up please.?" she asked..

And there she was...

"ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY LOLA ALBRIGHT, CONSIDERED A RISING STAR IN THE PHILADELPHIA LEGAL CIRCLE FOUND SLAIN IN HER HOME EARLY THIS MORNING!"

A crowd of people gathered outside as the body was being brought out...

Lt. Tragg addressed the press , 

"This is a huge tragedy....She was a bright and shining star in the city...Had just begun working at the D.A.'s office... To the killer out there...If you're watching...I want you to know that I'm going to GET YOU, if it's the last thing I do!" he said dramatically....
