"Both of these men were arrested initially by Detectives Dominick Evans
Himself now serving a life sentence in state prison for his part in a gruesome double murder that took the life of an Assistant District Attorney...His co-conspirator , another former detective was executed for her part in the murders..
and then Sgt. Arthur Tragg
Now a Lieutenant in Homicide....
"Well it helps that I'm friends with so many talented Defense Attorneys...Many of whom I've faced in court when I was prosecuting people instead of now helping to get them out..It's nice to be working with them instead of against them." she said..
After the taping was over...
"Yeah, I thought you filmed it live too!" said Olivia.
"Yes...We loved the place...I wish Dabnis was with us...We told him it was the best...He was trying to say Sam Mother's pancakes were the best."said Kahlil..
"I'm curious and I'm down....How bout everyone else?" said Beverly...
"I've heard them talk about this place....I'm very curious." I said.
"Well, we aren't doing anything else...Let's go." said Nelson..

"I've been there before... They really do have good pancakes..."said Jessica , who like Sofia, Bee Bee and Kahlil, grew up in the Fishtown/Port Richmond area..

''Well Vettie girl, what say you?" said a smiling Olivia.
"Lead the way."said Ms.Yvette.
"I'm coming too!" said Karen Page..."See ya later babes." said Karen,

We found the small restaurant,CREPES TO GO, Bee Bee, Sofia and Kahlil were talking about...
"WOWWWWWW IT HAS BEEN AWHILE HUH SOFIA?" said Bee Bee, eyes as wide as saucers,looking around..
"The owner must have taken out a business loan or something...The place looks great..."said Sofia.
"Yeah, I don't remember it looking like this..WOWWWWWW!" said Kahlil.
"I gotta admit, it's not what I expected, from your uh description, I mean." I said.
"Well,let's sit down..." said Chip...
"This is a nice place...I like it."said Olivia.
"I must admit....I'm curious." said Donnie Ray...
As we left in our two vehicles.....
We entered and took our seats...
"It wasn't a dump....but it didn't look like this...WOWZERS!"said Jessica..
"Excellent Idea. I'm starving." said Jade.
The seven of us sat at a round table..
Olivia, Donnie Ray, Beverly, Nelson, Josie, Bresha, Ms. Yvette and ADA Karen Page all sat at a round
table next to ours..
"I like it too, Now taste these Pancakes.."I laughed..
"Actually....That's not a bad idea.."said Beverly..
"That's why I'm here." said Nelson.
They served all kinds of pancakes, with Blue Berries, Strawberries and just plain old pancakes..sausages and hash browns...
even waffles with strawberries and whipped cream..
Bee Bee, Sofia ,Kahlil and Jessica did not lie...The food here was delicious...We had to turn the rest of the gang on about this place...
We had a relaxing meal with good conversation and no interruption from a certain Lieutenant from Homicide.
Lt. Tragg was fuming...
"Damnit...WHY CAN'T THEY LEAVE MY OLD CASES ALONE?" he said..
"Yeah bad enough they embarrass you during your current cases." said a drunken patron..
This was met by laughter...
''Alright...Alright ,enough." said Curley, the bar's owner , who was himself a retired Homicide Detective..
"Relax Artie...He was just making a joke..." he said.
Lt. Tragg was still fuming.....
"Well I didn't find it very funny!" he snarled....
He wouldn't...
By then we were safely at home...

And at the Television Studio.....
"Another great show B.L." said Producer, Tommy Ashbrook..
"Thanks Tommy!"said B.L. as he left for the night....
With B.L. gone.. and most of his production crew.... Tommy Ashbrook walked into a side dressing room, complete with a bed....
An attractive Black woman was in the dressing room waiting for him.
"Are we alone?" she asked..
''As alone as we'll ever be in this place.." whispered Tommy Ashbrook..
"So what about our deal?" asked Josie James, who hosted an entertainment and gossippy type of talk show, THE JOSIE JAMES SHOW .
"I'm going to move "HARD BOTTOM" to the 10:00 pm spot and put the JOSIE JAMES SHOW in that 9:00 pm prime time spot he now owns..."said Tommy Ashbrook.
"You didn't tell him yet did you?" asked Josie James..
"No, but I'm the boss here...When I do tell him what is he gonna do, quit?? He's under contract...His show will just come on at a later hour that's all...."said Tommy Ashbrook...who really wasn't the boss, He was second in command...but actually ran the day to day, so most people did see him as the boss.

Unknown to us...Lt. Tragg was parked outside our building... in his new car.
Of course he had no idea that all us worked here....Just Karen Page and he feverishly paged her....She didn't answer. She was having Lunch and she certainly wasn't coming downstairs to see him, so she ignored her phone..
After a half hour, he pulled off.....
He drove to Olivia and Beverly's Office /Duplex... Their Office was actually closed today...
Bresha, Josie and Alfreda were at home and Olivia and Donnie Ray and Beverly and Nelson were not about to open the door for him...They killed the bell, so that they wouldn't hear it..
Olivia and Donnie Ray were in the throes of passionate lovemaking.

"Oh Yeah..Well he'll find out Monday that his show has been switched to the 10:00 pm slot." said Tommy.
"Mr. Ashbrook...Your fiance is here to see you" said another assistant.
"Oh I'll be right there." he said..

They began kissing passionately.....
Tommy Ashbrook said-" Take all my calls, I'll be indisposed for the rest of the day..." he said..

She got up and got dressed... Tommy was sleeping soundly....She was getting ready to leave when she peered across the room..
She saw a Pink and Black lace bra that did not belong to her..
She sighed, shook her head and hastily left the building....
It was near midnight.....
Tommy Got Up, got dressed....He was hungry...He usually was after good sex...
He got dressed and drove to Northern Liberties.
He loved the ambience of this place...Once a dump, now a classy joint, that still served the best Pancakes in the city.
He paid for his meal with his debit card and waited for his to go carton and his coffee..
"Thanks guys." he said.
He walked out of the restaurant...with his to go carton and his coffee...He placed his food in his car...
He never saw the .22 hand gun that came out of the shadows.... Five shots rang out...two bullets severed his spine,killing him instantly...the third bullet entered his back and punctured his heart and the last two hit him in the shoulder blade...His lifeless corpse fell up against the car door and slid down on the pavement... He never saw it coming!

Uniformed policemen were taking statements from the few people on the streets...No one had seen the shooter, but several people had heard the shots..
"He was hit in the back....The first two shots severed his spine...This third one is an in and out..It went in his back and exited through the chest,puncturing the heart..and these two hit him in the left shoulder blade.."said Dr. Hazel Baylor...
"He's quite dead! The shooter made sure.....Judging by the way the bullets were sprayed, I'd say this was a crime of passion. I found a to go carton in his car... Blueberry Pancakes, an Omelette, Hash Browns and sausages.. It's all cold... shame he didn't get to eat his last meal" said Dr. Marcy Martin...
She sighed. She knew who it was!
"Guess he wasn't all bad huh?" whispered Hazel to one of the Medical Examiner staff. The two of them snickered.
''Yes Lieutenant." said Marcy.
Lt. Tragg grimaced..but he didn't have the stomach for a battle royale tonight..
They all watched as the body was put in a body bag, strapped to a gurney and put in the Medical Examiners wagon for transportation to the Morgue..
The next morning, we all arrived at CREPES TO GO!
''DID YOU GUYS SEE ALL THAT BLOOD OUTSIDE AND THE CHALK OUTLINE??" IASKED.
"Yes, you couldn't miss that....For this neighborhood, that's not an odd sight."said Bee Bee.
''Somebody got murdered in front of here last night.. I'm glad we didn't witness it or Lt. Tragg, who probably is investigating it." said Sofia.
"Yeah in that case, we caught a lucky break."said Kahlil.
"True, but it is a bit unsettling..knowing somebody got murdered just a few hours ago." said Jessie.
"Well at any rate...It's not our problem." said Chip..
"Somebody got murdered outside of here last night." said Kayla.
"Better last night than this morning." said Ray.

"That's kinda cold Ray, but I see your point...I wouldn't want to witness that..."said Jazzy.
"Especially when you're getting ready to eat." said Dabnis.
"And especially if you know who was the primary detective on the case." said Beverly,.
"He'd ruin our breakfast...Have the press here..It would be horrible."said Nelson.
''Well thank god...I hate to say this, but I'm, I'm just glad it was last night." said Josie.
"I know what you mean...We are far removed from it..."said Paris.
"Yeah Last night was fun...Dinner at the Mermaid Crabhouse...Dancing and Drinks at Aqua Bar and Stoleys and then ending the night at Josie's.. It was great.."said Bresha.
"It sure was....And now Brunch here...You can't beat this..." said Tony...
''DID YOU GUYS SEE ALL THAT BLOOD OUTSIDE AND THE CHALK OUTLINE??"
"Yeah apparently someone was murdered outside of here last night."said Donnie Ray.
"Thank God, we missed all of that...Most of us were safely in Josie's enjoying your set with the house band and that comedian from your hometown of New Orleans..He was pretty good by the way."said Ms. Yvette.
"Yeah I enjoyed him...and you and the house band Donnie Ray." said Gary...
"Yes, I did too!" said Jade..
"I wonder who got murdered?" mused Danny Ho..
"Cool It, you're off duty."laughed Alfreda to Danny...
"Here comes the waitress, let's get our orders ready....
"Ummmmm yes.."said Virginia.
"Yesss, I'm starving."said Jetty...
We finished the night at Josie's where we heard Donnie Ray sit in with the house band... while we all were in cool out mode..
Ms. Yvette and Gary..
Ms. Alfreda and Rockland...
Ms. Jade and Danny Ho...
Ms. Virginia and Jetty...
And Lem and Zoey....
The 2022 Blue Corvette Stingray pulled up to the curve..
"Oh Gee...It's Batman, the Caped Crusader." said Dr. Hazel Baylor derisively....
All of the Uniformed officers snickered...As did the CSI and Medical Examiner's personell, they didn't particularly like Lt. Tragg either.
Lt. Tragg knew Hazel had said something smart although he didn't hear it.. He ignored her completely..Instead he asked Marcy..
''What have we got here?"
"Cause of death, Multiple Gunshot wounds to the back.....2 severed his spinal cord, one punctured his heart and the other two hit him in the shoulder blade.. but he was already dead by then," said Dr. Marcy Martin.
Lt. Tragg rolled him over. He had on latex gloves.
"Heyyyyyyyy I know this guy....Tommy...Tommy Ashbrook, the Producer of HARD BOTTOM...He's a jerk!! He got me kicked off the show...I used to be a regular..." snarled Lt. Tragg.
Lt. Tragg was ,for him, doing his best to keep his cool....but he was as red as a beet.
"Alright...get him out of here....Marcy, have that autopsy report on my desk as soon as possible." he said softly...
''Okay guys, wrap him up."said Hazel defiantly, proving to Lt. Tragg that she was in charge.
The next morning, we all arrived at CREPES TO GO!
We saw the dried up blood and the chalk outline of a murder...We had no idea at the time that this was someone we had seen in passing just two days before and that our next case was going to grow out of this.
We entered the restaurant, CREPES TO GO and took up three large tables..
Me, Bee Bee, Sofia, Kahlil, Jessica and Chip Manned one table...
NOT YET!
While Kayla, Ray, Jazzy, Dabnis, Beverly and Nelson, Josie and Paris and Bresha and Tony manned the other table...The conversation was the same..

Olivia, Donnie Ray, Ms. Yvette, Gary, Jade, Danny, Ms. Alfreda, Rockland and Ms. Virginia and Jetty.
Steaming cups of coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice was delivered first...
and then our food..
Pancakes, Waffles, Bacon,Sausages, Hash browns...Everything was delicious...Soon we forgot about the murder that must have occurred last night...we were enjoying the good food and fellowship with our neighbors and friends.
Whoever got murdered last night was not our problem..

We had all had quite a weekend.. Thursday night . Beverly, Nelson, Josie, Paris, Bresha, Tony, Myself, Bee Bee, Sofia, Kahlil, Kayla, Ray, Jazzy, Dabnis, Jessica and Chip all went to Aqua Bar and Stoleys for dancing and drinks..
Both places, Aqua Bar and Stoleys were packed..... Around Midnight we all headed to Josies.
The "grown Ups were there.. His number one cheerleader, Olivia, sitting up front in a sexy form fitting Black skirt with matching Black fishnet pantyhose...
Friday Night, we all went to the Roller Skating Ring in Baysaide....
A good time was had by all...
And finishing up with Saturday Morning Brunch....at CREPES TO GO.
After Brunch...we all decided to chill out at our homes... What better way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon than to be making love...I'm sure that everybody was thinking and doing the same thing.. None of us had any plans to go out anywhere else today or tomorrow either.

''And Cubans from our favorite food truck!"said Ms. Virginia.
While we ate in relative peace in our conference room..
The Tactical team walked her out..
while the press snapped photos of her.
"Don't worry ,Josie..I'll get you some legal representation." said B.L. watching as they left.
And there it was...Our next case had come to us.
