Kevin Bellamy turned his Laptop down...

These Attorneys had totally humiliated him in court...He had won a conviction on Judge Jeffries and in one day, they had appealed his conviction and gotten it overturned...They had brought up several instances of  prosecutional misconduct....Conduct that had gotten disciplinary action from the Bar Association and a stern warning... He was pissed and now more than anything he wanted revenge... He would be prosecuting Toni Robinson, the young woman accused of killing Jhett Garland, the jackass attorney responsible for all of this mess in the first place.. He wasn't sorry he was dead...but he wanted to prosecute his accused killer and to get a win over Yvette Jones, Me, My wife Bee Bee, Sofia, her husband Kahlil and our investigator, Jade.

He looked up information on the young woman he would be prosecuting...She had no priors...She appeared to be a good person...This was probably a crime of passion...He was going to fire her and there was an argument or something....That lead her to beat him about the head...fracturing his skull.

Antoinette "Toni" Robinson-

He didn't like having to prosecute her...but he had to...He had to get revenge for his humiliation in court after the Jeffries case.

They had the murder weapon....

an empty bottle of wine....but her fingerprints were not on the bottle.....Only his blood and brain matter. and a palm print, not identified..

But she was seen fleeing the building after the murder occurred....According to forensics.. It wasn't much, but it was all he had.

II-

Meanwhile at the Bridge Building-

In our conference room.

Yvette was studying the ADA we would be going up against.

"He's the same guy who prosecuted Judge Jeffries...He's going to be prosecuting you Toni.

We can't wait to get him in court." said Yvette.

She was looking him up on her laptop.

"I see." said Toni Robinson...After a few days of staying with Olivia and Beverly, she had joined us at the Bridge Building to get a personal update on how her case was going.

Sofia had taken her phone, disabled the GPS and locked it in her safe.... and given her a burner phone..

and Bee Bee had given her a Portal..

so she could keep up and not leave the safety of Olivia and Beverly's sub-basement...

But Toni found she liked going shopping with Olivia, her niece  Beverly , Josie and Bresha during the day time...

and occassionally have dinner with the four of us and Chip and Jessica.

On Nights Danny was late with a case, Jade sat in with us too!  It was like old times back when we all lived in the apartment building...We all hung out, played cards and ate popcorn and drank soda.

Tonight was just like that...we were

Playing cards 

Eating Popcorn

and drinking soda....

She enjoyed being able to shower regularly and change clothes... and since she had been released on her own recognizance and with no ankle bracelet...There was no legal restrictions on her...

One person who had been searching for her was ADA Bruce Greene. He hadn't heard from her again...

Now she was indicted for murder and had been arraigned and released on her recognizance....but not staying at her apartment...He had stopped by several times......

He knew Yvette and Olivia had a penchant for hiding their clients out....Usually at hotels under their own names..

He checked out several hotels...but there was no sign of Toni...

So he went to the Bridge Building where Yvette and so many others worked.

Here he found Bee Bee and Sofia doing their research for the upcoming case....

And Kahlil and I were looking at perspective jurors for the upcoming trial..

and meanwhile, Ms. Yvette was sitting at her laptop, talking to Toni.

when Virginia walked in with Bruce..

"Yvette, you have a visitor, he wouldn't take no for an answer."said Virginia.

"Hello Yvette...Nice place you have here.....Ms. Robinson, you my dear are a hard person to track down." said Bruce Greene.

"In case you didn't know...I've uh been busy....I've been accused of murder in the first degree."said Toni.

"Oh I guess you haven't heard and perhaps I shouldn't be telling you this, but Kevin Bellamy down graded those charges to Second Degree Murder...I think he did that yesterday." said Bruce.

Yvette knew that Bruce was only here and only gave up that information was because he was personally interested in Toni....

"You promised me that if I gave you the location of Mrs. Jones-Lockwood's office you'd go out with me."said Bruce Greene.

Toni shrugged..

"I did , didn't I?" she said.

"I took the liberty of making reservations at Gazspachos....just in the event that I tracked you down, which I have."said Bruce Greene.

Her eyes lit up....

"Gazspachos....eh?   I've been wanting to go there... Welllll , I guess a deal is a deal.."said Toni smiling...

Yvette, Bee Bee, Sofia and Virginia looked on...They wanted to say something, but decided not to.

"Good...Wednesday Night I'll pick you up." said Bruce.

"I'll meet you there."said Toni, not wanting to give up her whereabouts...especially to someone in the District Attorneys Office.

"Smart Girl." thought Jade, who had just walked in the conversation...

III-

Gazspachos's the city's newest and trendiest restaurant and bar was everything Toni had heard it was...

She met Bruce there at 8:00 pm Wednesday Night as promised...

He presented her with yet another bouquet of roses...Which she loved...

They both had a prime rib dinner with Rosemary Garlic.

This place was everything she had heard and more... The Food was excellent. She enjoyed every morsel...

Bruce ordered the most expensive wine the establishment had and they drank and ate to their hearts content..

And like before-Bruce chattered on about his life, his accomplishments, his future accomplishments and some of his career set backs without allowing Serendipity to get a word in....Everytime she tried to talk about her present case, which she was very excited about, she found he already knew about it and cut her off as if what she was about to say wasn't that important.. This annoyed her to no end.....Conversation wise...the night was frustrating to her and she was finding Bruce to be a self-absorbed bore...

What really amazed her is that he had no clue as to how he was coming off. After awhile, he stopped talking and ordered another bottle of wine..

They killed it and she found herself a little tipsy...

Bruce slyly... had his hand going up her skirt, rubbing her legs and yanking a little bit on the waistband of her panties..

She smiled and politely removed his hands...They were in public afterall.

"Toni, I kept my word to you....I gave you Yvette's address and you hooked up with her and because of you they overturned Judge Jeffries conviction...and now they are representing you in your trial... I believe that after this nice meal you've had at one of Philadelphia's most trendiest restaurants You uh owe me somethin...Heh heh heh..." laughed Bruce.

"Oh really? Bruce,You've had your hands on my legs  and you've been running them up my skirt...Let me guess what that might be? Now look, we had a nice meal tonight....All I promised you was that I'd go out with you at a later date, which I have....I didn't promise anything else.."said Toni diplomatically...

''Come on Antoinette, we are all adults here....You know what I'm talking about....It's late, almost 11:00 pm..You don't want to make that long drive home or whereever you are staying... Come over to my spot..and I'll bring you to your car in the morning baby..."he said

"I don't think so....I can drive and I'm not drunk....I'll be alright."said Toni, sorry that she'd agreed to a date with him.

Talking to Bruce was like talking to a brick wall.. He leaned in and kissed her softly..

He did have soft lips and she did kind of like it..

"Come over my place tonight." he whispered..

"I don't know you that well....Maybe if we get to know each other a little better...I might consider it...and I'm saying might..I'm not promising." she said.

They continued to kiss...

His hand was still up her skirt..she finally removed his hands from under her skirt.........He attempted to kiss her again, but Toni moved her head...He tried to move it back, but she moved away....She was now totally disgusted with him...He was moving too fast..

"Bruce...Bruce...Stop it!!..We've had a nice meal and all things considered it was a nice afternoon, don't spoil it." said Toni....

"I've spent a lot of money tonight and you KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?" said Bruce.

"No I don't know what that means."said Toni.

He attempted to kiss her once again, but Toni moved her head...Bruce tried to move it back, but she moved away....
"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm, come here baby....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you've got me hotter than a cigarette at a gas station.." he moaned..
He grabbed her  and pulled her into him, He kissed her neck and the side of her face....She eased out of his embrace once again..

"Bruce! STOP IT PLEASE!"she said again..."WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU??"she asked.

She couldn't believe the sudden turn of events....

Bruce knocked over a chair.....He was now grinding Toni up against the wall and breathing heavily...
She had never seen him like this before.

"You've gotten in to me....I'd like to get INTO YOU!!! I can't stop....Do you really want me to stop Toni?I've been thinking about you alllll week..,ummmmmmmmmmm" he moaned...

"Please stop!"she said meekly...

Bruce reached under her dress and grabbed at her panties... accidentally ripping them off!

"OOOPS...I'm SORRY!" he said.....

"OH MY GODD!" she shouted and slapped Bruce so hard ,he fell out of his chair and flipped over backwards...

The diners who heard her scream and witnessed the slap exploded in laughter...loud laughter...

She grabbed her torn panties and slipped them into her purse and ran out of the restaurant....Luckily, she had come in her own car...So she got in it and drove off....

"I HOPE YOU GET CONVICTED AND GO TO JAIL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!" Bruce screamed... which made the crowd laugh even louder...He angrilly kicked the table...

Two Bouncers escorted him out....

THE NEXT NIGHT- THURSDAY!

Toni joined us all at a soul food restaurant in Cherry Hill. A Soul Food Restaurant that was a favorite of Bresha's husband, Tony and becoming our favorite too!  It was a Thursday and we weren't at Couples Night at Curley's.

Toni told us all about her nightmare night out with Bruce....How Good the food was, how superb the wine was and how  Bruce became an Octopus and ripped her panties off of her....

This brought our entire group into laughter...Not at Toni, but the situation...

 

 "WHATTTTTTTT?  I CAN'T BELIEVE BRUCE, but then again...I can." said Yvette, dying laughing..

"Old Bruce is a stud....He rips them off.."joked Gary...

"Yeah and then gets slapped in the face." I said, laughing...

"Girrrrrl, you're better than me... I might have cut him.."said Bee Bee.

"Oh My God, how embarrassing." said Sofia.

"Bruce doesn't get better, he gets worse." said Kahlil.

"I knowwwwww right?" said Jade.

"At least he didn't ask her to pay the drink bill..." said Danny, which brought us all to loud laughter again...

"He is something else....I started to tell him we were in a closed meeting and he couldn't come in." said Virginia.

"That young man needs serious attention.."said Jetty.

"I was so embarrassed.. I mean people saw him trying to kiss me and me backing off...but when he did that I was floored." said Toni...

"I'm sorry for laughing baby, but that was funny....I can't say I've ever had that happen to me before and I don't want it to!"said Olivia.

 

"My God..How embarrassing."said Donnie Ray.

"I'd buy a new pair and send him the bill....I would." said Beverly...

"Bruce would never pay that."said Nelson.

"Then take him to small claims court...I'm sure there is video of him doing that."said Josie.

"WOWW! Talk about Petty."laughed Paris.

"What he did was atrocious...He's lucky all he got was slapped...I'd still be kicking him..."said Bresha.

Her husband, Tony was laughing so hard, he was shaking..

Alfreda was laughing too..... "I remember when you accidentally ripped my panties off..."she said to her husband, Rockland...

"I was so embarrassed..."said Rockland.

"That's okay....you're my husband....and we were at home...I didn't mind...Just don't make it a habit."said Alfreda, giggling.

The awesome food was laid out....

 

They even had seafood, crabcakes...

and dessert, Peach Cobbler.

"Ouuuuuuuuuu this food is delicious....Girl, I'm so sorry about your date.. Gazspachos is a great eatery..."said Jazzy.

"It is...I really enjoyed the food...Hopefully I can go again and next time with a gentleman....I didn't even know Bruce that well and he was trying to get in my panties...Damnnn, get to know somebody first." said Toni.

 

"I totally agree....Then you can rip the panties off."joked Dabnis, which brought the tables to laughter again...

Toni laughed too...She was a good sport with a good sense of humor.

"We aren't laughing at you Toni..We love you...We are laughing at Bruce and his antics..."said Kayla.

"Yeah. This is the first time Bruce has done anything this wild..."said Ray.

"He's a Beast...I'm surprised he didn't ask you to pay the drink tab."said Jessica.

"He usually does that....Then after the young lady pours the drink over his head, the date ends...."said Chip.

"I slapped the hell out of him after he did that....and he screamed like a little boy- I HOPE YOU GET CONVICTED AND GO TO PRISON FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!" said Toni.

''Did He fall on the floor and kick his legs up?" asked Karen.

''Did he spin around like a top?" asked her husband, B.L.

"I didn't hang around  long enough to see."said Toni...

"Girl I don't blame you...It was smart to come in your own car....Otherwise you'd of been at Bruce's mercy."said Natalie,.

"I was over at the Courthouse today....I saw him...He looked very angry.."said David.

"I imagine he was angry...Once again he's struck out." said Brooke.

"He needs to stop acting like a Neanderthal." said Sean....

"Exactly..."said Zoey.

"WOWWWWW!" said Lem,laughing.

"Girl, I wish I could've talked to you before you went out with him...I went out with him twice before I got married.  He made me pay the drink tab...I was done after that." said Renee.

"I wish I had talked to you too Renee....I barely knew him and he was trying to get in my panties..He wouldn't take no for an answer..."said Toni.

"You think you might give him another chance??."asked Tyrell, being the Devil's Advocate.

"NO WAYYYYY!"said Toni.

"Good For You!" said Lisa.

"It's good you're staying with Olivia and Beverly... You know he's going to stalk you."said Matthew.

"That's why my car is in their garage, off the street." said Toni.  "I think I'm going to stay inside for awhile."laughed Toni.

"That's a good idea....Enough about Bruce Greene, let's devour this food."said Nina Rios.

"Yes, good idea. "said Carlos.

IV-

It was a great night....Great food, Great Fellowship...After the buses brought all of us home...

Bee Bee was in the bathroom, She had showered for the night and had just finished brushing her teeth..

I watched her unsnap her bra and remove her panties before I came up behind her..

"Look at us now...Married...Who would of thought that?" I said.

"I knew you liked me and that we'd wind up being a couple sooner or later...I just had to make the first move." she said giggling..

"I'm glad you did." I said.

"I know you are...because you haven't been able to keep your hands off of me ever since I let you have some that first night." Bee Bee laughed as our kissing got hotter.
