Double Or No One

NORTHEAST AIRPORT- 24 HOURS BEFORE!

Those Citris Martini's were good...,Carlotta had three more...She was now very loopy, very dizzy...She remembered Martin Decker and another man walking her to a helicopter...They strapped her in...

Martin Decker sat next to her...She remembered the sensation of the Helicopter taking off..

Martin Decker slyly ran his hands across her legs....When he attempted to move his hands up her dress, she politely removed them....

"That doesn't come with the deal..." she said softly...She wasn't that loopy!

He laughed...She laughed...

It was getting dark...

Her head slumped over on his shoulder....That's all she remembered...

When she woke up, she felt as if she had been sleeping for hours...Yet the clock said 9:15 pm...Which meant she'd only been out for an hour...

She looked around...

"Where is this?" she said..

"Cherry Hill, New Jersey...Right outside of it....This is my home.."said Martin Decker..

''Where is the other guy?" she asked.

"I guess he's home...He's a Helicopter pilot...He doesn't live here.." he said..

Carlotta looked around...

"You have a nice place..." she said..

"I do...Maybe I'll invite you and your husband over here one night..."he said and passed her several files..

"This is what I have..." he said..

Carlotta leafed through them...They were sales and purchases of Apartment complexes by Phillip Harris and Samuel Woolery...the real name of BIG UNCLE, boss of bosses.. It didn't look illegal, until she saw books with other numbers...Unexplained cash flow...cash flow that then seemed to vanish...

"Oh Myyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.." said Carlotta...

He passed her other files with proof of insider trading...None of that had any connection to Big Uncle..

He smiled..

"Your husband should be able to make a case against Phillip with this..." he said..

"There is very little here that can do anything to Big Uncle..." she said...

"No..but it proves collusion between him and Big Uncle...The question is..what happened to that cash? Millions of dollars that Big Uncle shuttled through here?" said Martin Decker..

''Why are you doing this? You're Phillip Harris's Assistant?"asked Carlotta..

"He has something that I want...It's personal..."said Martin Decker..  "What's the matter?" he asked..

"I-I feel sooooooo loooopy...That drink....What was innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn itttttttttttttt?" said Carlotta as she passed out on the couch...

It was all a blur....

Once again...a Helicopter was taking off...

Carlotta awoke briefly to the sensation of flying......

"Top!  TOP! Wake up baby." came the voice of Duke Baylor..

Carlotta was sitting in an empty hangar on a bench with the files in her arms...

''Where Am I? Duke, what are you doing here?" asked Carlotta..

''Martin Decker called us...Told us where he left you...He said you had a bit much to drink...and you were out of it..."said Angie Belton..

"I had three Citris Martini's...but they were strong..."said a still woozy Carlotta...

''That's not the Top I know..Who could drink any guy under the table, doing shots of Tequila.."laughed Duke..

"Those drinks were strong.....No Martini would've had me like this..."said Carlotta..

''You think he tried something?" asked Angie, looking very concerned..

''No...He was a near perfect gentleman...He did try to slip his hand up under my skirt...but I stopped him and he didn't try anything else.."said Carlotta..

''Did He give you the files he was talking about?" asked Duke..

"Yes...I've got them here.."said Carlotta..

 Who passed the files to Angie..

''Let's get you home...it's late....Nearly three in the morning.." said Angie...

TODAY!

"Okay your killer disabled the street cam and the lobby cam...but apparently he didn't know there was back up cameras in the hallway....Look who it is..."said Deputy FBI Special Agent in charge, Sharon Ferrell-Hopkins..

"That's Martin Dexter...leaving...and it's right during the timetable of the murder ."said Tyriq..

''Whoaaaaaa..."said Jimmy.

"That's impossible...I was with him all yesterday afternoon...All night really.....He didn't leave his condo..."said Carlotta..

"Carlotta you were loopy...You weren't asleep at his place?" asked Angie..

"No, not really..Not until after 10:00 pm......We left Philadelphia at 8:20-8:25....It was 9:00 or a little after when we got to his place ,outside of Cherry Hill...Phillips was murdered around 8:45- 9:00...That time stamped video shows him leaving the office at 9:15...At 9;15 he and I were at his condo in New Jersey going over the files he gave me...No way he could have been here..No Way!"said Carlotta..

"Then he must have a double.."said Tyriq...

"That's very possible.."said Sirena, who was coming in with her partner, Hop...

"Sirena and I talked to a cab driver ....who said they had a short conversation about Jay Z- "Reasonable Doubt" ,which was playing in his cab...Decker is no Hip Hop fan...He likes Jazz..."said Hop..

"I used to rock that tape in my car until it popped.."said Jimmy...

''Hey so did I.."said Hop, smiling and giving Jimmy Dap....

''I think we all did.." laughed Carlotta...

''Decker or a man claiming to be Decker was caught on camera in this bar...Drinking in this Jazz Bar..." said Sirena...

"He's said to be a fan of classical music...."said Sissy...

"He got a twin brother?" asked Carlotta...

"He's an only child..and he's got a perfect alibi...A cop.....If he was with Carlotta...the question is...Who is this guy leaving the office and at this  bar and in the cab?" I asked...

"We've had some mysteries before....but never one like this.."said Duke..

"And you just have him or whoever leaving the office at a certain time...You don't actually have him shooting Harris.."said Sharon...

"Ballistics proves that that gun with the silencer is the murder weapon...but there are no prints or DNA on the gun...it was bleached down and the killer wore latex gloves.."said Hazel..

"The files Decker gave me are useless...At best it's an insider trading case...and a weak one at that....and as far as the money laundering...there isn't enough here for an indictment of BIG UNCLE or Phillip Harris...This was totally useless, Decker wasted our time...And with Phillip Harris dead now...even more worthless...There is no case to make...Certainly not enough to snag Big Uncle."I said.

"You think Big Uncle ordered Harris hit?" asked Hop..

"Somebody wants me to think so..."I said..

"If anything...He'd of hit Martin Decker..He was the rat.."said Carlotta...

 ''Something doesn't make sense...I feel like we are missing something here...Why Kill Harris?  There wasn't enough here to indict him or Big Uncle on anything...We don't even know if that's his actual signature.."said Sissy...

"I can pull his federal prison records and call in a handwriting specialist to confirm that Sis.." said Sharon...

"Duke...You and Angie go talk to Martin Decker..." said Sissy...

''We are on it." said Duke and Angie..

"I've got a very interesting COMSTAT Meeting to go to....The rest of you guys...Just uh hang loose...Try not to catch any murders.." she chuckled..

Everyone else cleared out...

I pulled Carlotta into Sissy's office....

She stared at me...

I closed the door...

We started kissing passionately...

''Damn girl...I'm glad you're home safe....I should have never sent you to do that..."I moaned in between kisses..

"I was glad to do it for you papi!" she said in between more kisses...

"Let's get out of here and go home.." I said..

The question remained..

Who were we looking for???....Certainly not Decker..but...His double???? and why??
