"Oh My God Elwood, it's beautiful" said Alexandria.  She was eyeing the very expensive engagement ring he had bought her...

She was sitting in Sam Mother's Diner.. drowning her sorrows over losing her case with a Milk Shake..

Three Milk Shakes to be exact...

When Elwood just happened to walk in...He had a habit of just happening to show up at the damndest of times...

"I was going to propose to you the night you left me...You left just minutes before I arrived at my loft.. Our loft.." he said softly...

"Really?" she asked..

"Yes...Here is the sales slip....Look at the date...I'm not lying.. I paid for it the day you moved out.." he said..

"Awww Elwood..."she said.. She was actually touched...but it was too late.. Timing was everything...

"Look, I'm sorry about calling you out of your name in Josie's the other night.. I was drunk and I was hurt.. I just wanted you so bad baby and seeing you with what's his name just infuriated me.. I didn't mean any of that! Just say yes.. Just marry me Alex.. Let's start over...You don't have to move back in until we get married.." he said..

''Elwood I signed a lease." she said.

"With Kevin's wife, Sepia...I know them both...We can work something out...."said Elwood..

"No Elwood...This was sweet...but my answer is still no...I'm not marrying you...We were over way before Josie's....It was a nice three years...It was, but near the end...We both were becoming tired of each other..."said Alexandria..

"Eb and flow baby, Eb and Flow...This happens in all relationships..These things pass...."Elwood pleaded...

"Not when it's real...Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy wait a minute....How did you know that Sepia was my realtor?  You know where I live don't you?  That was you who delivered that file to me on Miles Ellis wasn't it? And likewise you who delivered that file on me to him.."said Alexandria, now angry...

"Well...Well...Well uh ahhhhh...I-I-I-I just wanted you to know what you were getting yourself into.."said Elwood..

"Ohhhh you'll never change, will you?  Oh My God! I don't believe you..."said Alexandria as she tossed some dollars on the counter...

"Good Bye Elwood...Have a nice life." she said angrily and stormed out...

Elwood sat there and watched her walk out....He banged his head repeatedly on the counter....

He didn't notice that sitting in a booth a few feet from him was his first wife, Olivia Bennett-Alexander and her niece, Beverly West-East.. who had witnessed the entire conversation.

"I guess what ever they were talking about didn't exactly go his way.....I almost feel sorry for him..but I know he must have done something morally corrupt.."said Olivia, who knew only two well how Elwood could bring that out in any woman he dealt with.

"I don't feel sorry for him...Serves him right."said Beverly...She could never forgive him for his constant cheating when he was married to her aunt...All the times her aunt left him only to go back to him...her aunt's two miscarriages and unhappiness that finally led her to divorce him...

II-

It was Monday Morning...Court was in session....

I call my witness, Christine "Tina" Tyson...

She is nervous and suspicious..she looks around....

I use all the charm I have..I compliment her on her dress and her matching shoes...and her nice bright smile..

Soon our banter gets close to flirtatious...

Then I go to it...

"You just finished a trial yourself...a few days ago...You brought charges of sexual assault against a young man, a mayor's aide..didn't you?  Didn't work out too well for you with that.."I said..

The Jury laughed a bit...

I presented photos of three of the slain men...

"You brought charges of sexual assault against these three men too didn't you?  As well as carried on relationships at different times with all three of them.."I said..

"Badgering the witness your honor."said Miles..

The Judge and I looked at him..

"That's his witness counselor"said the Judge...who then looked at her and said.."Answer the question"

She sighed and said- "YES"

Kahlil pulls out the 50 inch monitor and shows the Jury glossy photos taken of her and three of the murdered men and Kyle Jennings together at different times over the years...At Josie's, At Stoleys, At Aqua Bar, Mulberry Street, At a Sixers game...

''Good times huh?" he said.

She didn't answer.

Sofia asked her to describe her relationships with the three dead men....

She admitted she'd had sexual and romantic relationships with all three at times and was still on good terms with them...

 "Oh really? Then why did all three men take out restraining orders against you in the past year?" asked Sofia..

The Jury gasped as Sofia presented the Restraining orders as Defense exhibit A.

She next showed angry Facebook statuses and Tweets on the monitor...All from her , All calling them by name and saying what bad men they all were...

She showed inbox messages she sent to suspected girlfriends of the three dead men.. As well as telephone records of her calling them and their girlfriends at all hours of the early morning...

I produced a pair of panties and a bra...

"These look familliar?" I asked..

"OH MY GOD! They're mine!!! Did you get a warrant to go snooping through my apartment?" asked Tina Tyson angrilly.....

''I didn't need one...They were in my clients apartment...Where you left them two weeks ago..The last time you spent the night and the last time he saw his gun!!!"I said..

"OBJECTION!!! WHERE ARE YOU GOING WITH THIS?" asked Miles...

The Judge over ruled him looked at me and asked , "Where are you going with this son?"

''I'm wrapping it up now your honor...I'm just asking for the court's indulgence..We got your DNA off of these panties and this bra...It was a match for DNA and fingerprints we found in a pair of Latex Gloves thrown in a nearby sewer....Gloves that had powder burns on them...No reason your DNA should be on the gloves....unless it was you who shot those six people...You shot them because you were angry they didn't invite you to that party...You felt after all the good times you'd had with them you deserved to be invited...I've got three witnesses who will testify that you complained bitterly to them in the past weeks about not being invited..."I said..

"We got camera shots...Street Cam shots from a five block radius of a small figure, about your size and height in black sweats, black hoodie, white skippers in the vicinity of IVY GREEN apartments right after the murders...That's how you got in ,unnoticed...and with a home made silencer..nobody heard or saw anything above the noise and the crowds...Nice."said Kahlil..

"Oh ,Don't say anything else...An Investigator from the D.A.'s office and several policemen are in your apartment right this minute...I sure hope they don't find that hoodie and those sweats for your sake girlfriend!"said Sofia..

Tina Tyson was shaking now...She was very afraid...

 Gary Lockwood ,Investigator for the D.A.'s Office walked in...

Lt. Tragg was behind him...

Six uniformed policemen were behind him...

Gary had the warrant...

Lt. Tragg placed the handcuffs on her and placed her under arrest.....

Miles Ellis hung his head..

"Your Honor..in lieu of these disturbing new developments...The People move to drop all charges against Mr. Kyle Jennings..." he said..

''So Moved...Mr. Jennings, you are free to go..." said the Judge...

''Awww man...Keith...Homeslice...You guys did it!" he said..he hugged me...and he hugged Sofia and Kahlil

 "I told you we'd get you out of this babe!" I said..

 ''We knew you didn't do this.."said Sofia.

''Yeah man...We were only too glad to help..."said Kahlil...

His parents and his mother's church members and people from his job surrounded us and hugged us and thanked us..

Ms. Yvette , Bee Bee  and Jade stood in the back of the courtroom applauding..

 ''Nicely done you three...Nicely done.." said Ms. Yvette..

 Bee Bee whispered in my ear...

"I am soooo turned on right now...For real.." she said..

She kissed me slowly and passionately....

"When we get home...there is more where that came from..."she whispered..

I blushed...

"I hope so.....Thanks again Jade...You did a great investigative job.."I said..

"I just did everything Lt. Tragg failed to do.."laughed Jade..

III-

The Press went crazy....They were calling it David Vs. Goliath..

They snapped countless photos of Me, Sofia and Khalil...."The young, green attorneys who took on a more experienced ADA and with the odds stacked against them prevailed, they played it..

Miles Ellis's mood was sour...He was in no mood for the press or to talk..He waded through the press and out the courtroom doors...

''I kind of feel sorry for Miles..He's lost to Olivia and Beverly and to us a few times..I hope he's not internalizing these losses.."said Yvette.

"I hate to lose myself...but I remember what you and Ms. Olivia told me about Attorneys shouldn't take a loss personally..it's appeal or on to the next trial.."said Bee Bee..

''That's right.."said Yvette.. beaming  proudly at her young protoge'

Lt. Tragg attempted to brief the press..

''We've taken the actual killer into custody.." he said..

"YOU SURE THIS TIME TRAGG? LOOKS TO ME LIKE THAT INVESTIGATOR FROM THE D.A.'S OFFICE TOOK HER DOWN...YOU AS USUAL HAD THE WRONG GUY"  "said a wise cracking reporter, which was met with gales of laughter..

"THIS IS WHAT, FOUR TRIALS OF THE CENTURY NOW?" said another reporter..

The room exploded with laughter...

"THAT'S ENOUGH FROM YOU!" screamed an angry Lt. Tragg who charged the reporters...

Several people got in between the  men and once again, you had an all out melee in the courthouse...Punches thrown, tables knocked over..Total pandemonium..

Gary put his arms around Ms. Yvette..

"Come on,let's get out of here.." he said..

"Ouu it turns me on that you're so protective of me.."joked Ms. Yvette as she allowed Gary to usher her out..

"I'll do anything to turn you on.." Gary whispered in her ear raffishly...

"I know you will....and you do a good job of it.." she said and smiled at him seductively...

 I grabbed Bee Bee and Jade..

"Come on, let's do the same." I said..

 "Good idea.."said Bee Bee.

''Yes."said Jade..

 "You don't have to tell me twice."said Kahlil, who took Sofia by the hand and followed us out..

"Me neither."said Sofia..

''Standing in the back of the courtroom laughing his head off was Elwood Barnes... Both Miles Ellis and Alexandria Miller had lost their cases...He enjoyed seeing them both lose more than anything...He laughed so hard, tears were streaming down his face...

His firs wife, Olivia Bennett-Alexander once called him the "King of Petty"...

He laughed..

Maybe Olivia was on to something there..Maybe she was right...He was the King of Petty.

IV-

We had a huge celebration at Red Booth later on that night...

Yvette and Gary...

Me and Bee Bee,

Sofia and Kahlil..

Ms. Jade.

and our good friends..

Olivia Bennett-Alexander and her husband, Donnie Ray Alexander.

Her niece and partner, Beverly West-East and her husband, Nelson East...

and last but certainly not least..Josie Boyd, their para legal..

We had a Private Booth roped off on the upper floor...Reserved and paid for by McClusky/Cozen/Connor and Pratt, who were appreciative of the good publicity....We thought it only right to invite our good friends along too, to celebrate with us...

Martinis galore arrived...

Including the Citris Martinis the girls loved so much...

and several beers for us....

None of this was lost on Elwood ,who saw the 12 of us sitting in the upstairs Private Booth and waved and gave us the thumbs up...

On the first floor a few booths back...Alexandria and Miles Ellis sat in a corner..

 ''We got our asses kicked in court this week.. and wouldn't you know it...They're all here at the same place.." mused Alex, who could see us all in our private booth on the upper level from where she was sitting.

''Well they earned it.. They were good...I don't even care...I'm just glad I got you baby..."said Miles.

"Awww, I'm glad I got you too boo!.."said Alexandria..

They began kissing passionately in the corner....

Elwood didn't like that...he stomped his foot and stormed out...He passed Miles's car and he violently kicked the door....

King of Petty...Yes he was..

EPILOUGE-

 Tina Tyson was convicted of six counts of First Degree Murder...

Alex represented her ..She saved her from the death penalty...She got her six life sentences...and despite her crime, got her sent to a minimum security women's prison..

Miles Ellis prosecuted her....with a lot less fanfare...

It was rather easy for Alexandria to persuade him not to go for the death penalty..

Lots of kissing during court recess helped immensely...

Speaking of Kissing, Bee Bee and I wasted no time locking lips at our apartment complex in my apartment..

''So we goin to Disney World now that you've won the big case?" asked Bee Bee ,laughing..

I smiled..

"Yeah  I could do that!" I said..

And we both laughed..

and continued to kiss...
