Fancy Meeting You Here

Attorney Jessica Sanchez was in hog heaven....She was staying in the extra room in Olivia and I's domicile..

She was no problem at all..

we all enjoyed the company...

Josie and her boyfriend, Paris were staying downstairs with Beverly and Nelson.

in their domicile..

We put in  late hours for the past three weeks ,leading up to the trial..

Staying downstairs in our office until 2:00 in the morning some nights...

Then retiring upstairs....

The six of us ordering take out from Chinese Bob's, Mabel Jenkins Soul Food Joint or Pizza and steak sandwiches or hoagies that

Paris brought when he dropped by..

In the morning, we all met upstairs in our domicile for breakfast,

Occassionally ADA Rockland Cambridge

dropped Alfreda off early enough so that she could join us..

We had a great working relationship...The closeness...So good, it almost didn't feel like work..

II-

We visited our client, Ron Dule , who was denied bail and was being held in Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility...

"Crazy as this may seem...I really didn't do this...I didn't kill anybody....and not them...I used to drink with both of them..." said Ronnie.

''Ronnie, if you walked in and found them dead...You shouldn't have touched anything...You should have gotten the hell out of there and called the police." I said.

"I know..I know...I was drunk, not using my better judgement.."said Ronnie..

"I'll say..."said Beverly...

"Your fingerprints and DNA is on the murder weapon and their blood is all over your clothes ,that's going to be pretty hard to defend.."said Olivia.

"Then you went home and took a shower and put all that stuff in a bag....That makes you look guilty as hell"added Nelson...

"Yeah, but I called the police...I told them everything...About how I stumbled over there drunk and discovered the bodies...I told them I touched them, that I tried to revive one of the women, but she was already drunk...I told them I may have contaminated everything by touching it and that jackass Lt. Tragg..

busted me anyway and charged me with first degree murder, conspiracy and using an instrument of crime as well as burglary...I didn't steal nothin from them.." he said.

"Now tell us...Samantha Jordaine, the other room-mate said that you were a frequent guest in their apartment ,but that she banned you because she claimed she woke up and you were standing over her bed peering at her in her bra and panties.."said Jessica.

"That's a lie!!!...I wasn't the least bit attracted to her...Have you seen her? She's got a face only a mother could love."said Ronnie Dule..

Nelson cracked up...

"Stop it!!...That's not very nice.."laughed his wife, Beverly...

"Do you know of anybody else who might have had a reason to try and off those  two?" I asked.

"You might want to look at their other room-mate, Samantha Jordaine..She was two months in arears on rent and they were planning to kick her out...They had already put an ad in the paper for another room-mate."said Ronnie.

"And Lt. Tragg overlooked that? He never called her in as a possible suspect???"said Jessica.

 "You apparently don't know who you're dealing with."said Olivia..

"He found twenty year old bones in a park and arrested a man for a double murder without knowing who the bones belonged to."said Beverly...

"Oh yeah, the Richard Graves case...That was your case...That caused him a lot of embarrassment.."laughed Jessica.






III-

The trial began...the first surprise was the Judge..

Someone we hadn't seen in awhile...Judge Joseph Crawford...

A Judge who made no bones about having the hots for Olivia..

He saw her standing in the hallway and nearly fainted..

"Olivia? you're trying your case in my court....Welll Ohhhhh HO HO HO HOOOOO!  What a surprise!" he said..

"Hello Judge Crawford....What a surprise" Olivia said sarcastically and sighed..

"This is a gorgeous and very colorful  dress you have on...I'm guessing your panties are pink?? No White?? That's too boring for you....Blue??...Yellow maybe?? Dare I say Orange???" he said smiling..

"That's for me to know and you to never find out.."said Olivia as she walked away...

"Is that Horny Judge Crawford?" asked Beverly...

"Yeah and this is his case..."sighed Olivia..

Judge Crawford observed Josie, who he remembered from before..\

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my god..." he moaned as she walked by with coffees..

and Attorney Jessica Sanchez really got his eyes popping..

"Aye Yi Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...Nothin but babes in this trial.." he moaned...

The trial began...

ADA Chris Garcetti was on top of his game, better prepared this time and eloquently spewing a tale of almost Manson like horror to a mesmerized jury...

Jessica, Olivia and Beverly spun a tale of a frightened and drunk everyman and every woman who walked in on a horrific scene and reacted the way a lot of the jurors might have reacted they said..
He panicked, he did some forensically stupid things..but he in fact called the police and told them everything...He never tried to hide anything they said...Not the actions of a guilty man they argued..

It was a brilliant argument and one that had the jurors thinking..

Chris called the Forensics and Crime Scene Investigators in and they gave their usual boring testimony...

Josie cooly passed both Beverly and Nelson notes...

Nelson and Beverly cooly asked them all very pertinent questions based on science like if there was any other prints and DNA on the knives???

Turns out there was and it was here to for unidentified..

Jessica and Olivia also revealed that it was the murder victims who dined at Bottom of The C. recently and who had stolen quite a bit of silverware...Thus meaning they had taken the very knives used to kill them out of the restaurant themselves... This hadn't been known before either..

Chris Garcetti next called his chief witness, Samantha Jordaine….

She was nowhere to be found!!!!

I had tried to interview her.. She wouldn't talk to me...I wasn't surprised that she was a no show for today.

"Call your next witness counselor."said Judge Crawford.

He called her boyfriend..Mark Coles..

He was not a reliable witness...He changed his story at least three times..

 Josie took good notes...She passed them to all of the attorneys..

 Beverly tore him to shreds on the stand..Bringing up his three conflicting statements...

Chris accused her of badgering the witness..

but Judge Crawford over ruled him...

  Olivia asked him which of his three statements, which she read to the jury were true....He began to waffle and it appeared that he wasn't sure of what was the truth...

Chris Garcetti slapped his palm to his forehead...

 Nelson got Coles to admit that all he really knew was what his girlfriend, Samantha Jordaine had told him...

Jessica nearly brought him to tears with her questioning......

Chris Garcetti asked for a continuance...Until his main witness could be produced..

''Alright counselor...you've got 24 hours...I don't want to hold these jurors any longer than necessary.."said Judge Crawford...

He was a very competent Judge...He just had raging hormones when it came to my wife..

"Olivia...Maybe It was my imagination, but that judge was staring at you as if he was trying to look through your dress...He watched your every movement.."said Jessica Sanchez.

"It's not your imagination...He's crazy about me and he's been trying to get me in the bed since I passed the bar..."said Olivia.

 "He's Hot for Auntay..."laughed Beverly...

Josie giggled...

"That could work to our favor.." said Jessica..

"He's still an honest and good Judge...He just wants to jump my bones...I had to change both of my phone numbers last time we tried a case in his court...He used to call me all times of night, asking me what I was wearing..what color were my panties...He's a real freak.,.,My husband

wants to kill him."said Olivia..

"I suppose he does.."giggled Jessica.

One week into the trial and Lt. Tragg was already starting to feel a sickness...We were tearing apart what seemed like an iron clad case and our defense hadn't even begun yet...

He eyed ADA Karen Page in the hallway...

"Hello Arthur..." she said..

"Hello Baby."said Lt. Tragg, all smiles..

ADA Chris Garcetti walked up...

"Karen, could I have a word?" he said..

"Hey Junior, that's rude...We were having conversation here.."said Lt. Tragg..

"Recanvas that crime scene...Get me another witness, some more evidence..Make yourself useful.."said Chris..

''Who the hell do you think you're talkin to?" asked Lt. Tragg, who really didn't like ADA Garcetti.

"I'm talkin to you right now...BUT I COULD BE TALKING TO CAPTAIN CANTRELL OR THE DEPUTY OF OPERATIONS , NOW HOP TO IT!" he snarled..

"WHAT? HOW YOU'D LIKE TO GET BUSTED IN THE CHOPS FELLA?" screamed Lt,. Tragg..

 "Awww Suki Suki Now...This could get good."laughed Beverly, who heard the entire thing..

 "Wowwwww!" said Josie,laughing..

"Seems like trouble in paradise."I mused..

 Unknown to me...Judge Crawford had corned Olivia in the hallway...

"So uh about the color of those panties?" he asked.

"You're way outta line Judge Crawford...."said Olivia..

"I wanna get so out of line with you..." he moaned..

 "Liv!!...Oh there you are..We were looking for you.."said Nelson..

"Yes..We are going to lunch...Your husband has found a great new place." said Jessica..

"Oh good..Here I come."said Olivia, who hurriedly left..She sighed a sigh of relief at being rescued from Judge Crawford..

Judge Crawford stomped his foot in anger!

 "What did you want Chris?" asked Karen..

"I wanted to apologize for my behavior a few weeks ago in Sam Mother's Diner...I was unprofessional and down right buffoonish...I can't even blame it on drunkenness because I wasn't drunk...I had been locked up all night in the cooler, for contempt..I just wanted to say I was sorry and that I'll never behave like that again..I hope you can forgive me." he said earnestly..

He wasn't bad looking and he did have his charm, thought Karen...

"Apology accepted.."she said..

"I am however very attracted to you and would love to take you out, for dinner, drinks...whatever." he asked..

"Chris, I'm flattered, but I'm seeing somebody...."she said.

"Okay....Well if things change...my offer still stands.."he said softly...

"I'll keep that in mind..."said Karen softly....

Lt. Tragg stood off to the side steaming...

He watched Olivia and I leaving the courtroom, followed by

Beverly and Nelson

Followed by Josie and Jessica.

They were reaking havoc on a case that had already been won...Here the verdict had been tossed out and here was a brand new trial that was coming apart at the seams...Could he never get a break?

Another person in court and watching behind the scenes was U.S. Attorney Tony Richardson...He couldn't get Attorney Jessica Sanchez out of his mind...Her rejection of his advances the other night seemed to turn him on that much more..He had to have her...
IV-

We all went to a new Bistro I suggested...

"Okay husband of mine...Tell us how you discovered this place/?" said Olivia, smiling as she looked around..

''Oh ,Honey Brown and B-Flat at Josies told me about this...They went here for their wedding anniversary remarked..

"The man is just an encyclopedia of restaurants and bistros.." laughed Beverly, hugging me..

"Smells good in here,,"said Nelson...

"I'll say." said Jessica.

We ordered several pasta dishes...

and the girls were quite impressed with the drink list also...

To top it off , the place was inexpensive.

"Nice we got a continuance....Gives us a chance to rework the crime scene...and to improve on our strategy."said Nelson as he chowed down..

"Yes, that was a lucky break.."said Jessica.

"I'm going to cool it with the sexy dresses...it's too distracting to both this particular judge AND MY HUSBAND!" Olivia said..

I had my arms around her waist...and had been softly rubbing her legs....

and was kissing her softly every other minute...

"I think you two are cute!" laughed Jessica..

"There's no man in your life Jessie? A Pretty girl like you?" asked Beverly..

"Not since my divorce...I've just kind of thrown myself into work...….That guy  the other night in Josie's , that U.S. Attorney...He was handsome...He had the prettiest green eyes and he looked nice in that suit and smelled really good..and he had almost convinced me to make an excuse to you guys and go with him and then when we were exchanging numbers on our phones...I saw his wedding band...I couldn't believe it..If not for his wedding band...He and I would have big smiles on our faces right now! I just couldn't believe he's married and trying to hit on me like that!" said Jessica.

"Believe it!!...He's the biggest hound around."said Josie..

"He's left quite a few broken hearts around this town...The only reason he didn't try anything with us and with Vettie's crew when we worked a case with him is because our husbands and boyfriends were right there under foot..He couldn't..."said Olivia..

"But we often caught him glaring at us.."laughed Beverly...

"Very skillful Attorney...but he has a thing for the ladies." said Nelson.

Just then, ADA Karen Page walked in....

"Hey Guys...I didn't know you guys ate here..." she said..

"It's our first time...It won't be our last.....I like it here....You eating alone? You can join us."I said.

"Oh no thank you....B.L.'s coming..He's parking." said Karen.

We noticed that Lt. Tragg had also entered..

"Geez, what are they all doing here? " he asked himself.....Meaning Olivia and company...

He noticed ADA Karen Page talking to them and then walking off to a separate table...

He mosied over and sat down with her..

"Fancy Meeting You Here." he said..

She sighed....Could she never be rid of him? He was everywhere she went..

"Hello Arthur." she said.

ADA Chris Garcetti also walked in...He was surprised to see Olivia and her people here also...but equally surprised to see Lt. Tragg sitting with Karen Page...

He walked over to him....

"Aren't you supposed to be re canvassing the area of that crime scene? Helping me strengthen up my case?" he asked  Lt. Tragg, who was growing to dislike the young ADA more and more with each coming day...

"Aren't you supposed to be avoiding a fat lip junior?" snarled Lt. Tragg...

Olivia was watching the whole thing...

"I don't know what Karen is doing to these guys...but she really brings it out in them.." she mused..

"Thing is...She hasn't slept with either one of them...and they know she has a boyfriend...In fact...here he comes now.. Hey B.L." said Beverly...

"Hey Guys....I want to talk to you about your case...Same arrangement as last time...My station will pick up the other half of your legal fees for access to this case and post trial interviews.." he said..

''Ever the businessman B.L." I said smiling..

"You know me Donnie Ray, I'm about that business.." said B.L.

"Speaking of which....Uh I think you should be about THAT business over there."said Nelson pointing to the table where Karen sat with her head in her hands..and Lt. Tragg and ADA Garcetti about to go to war over her.

"Oh My God....Just kill me now!" she said...

''Aren't you supposed to be avoiding a fat lip junior?" asked Lt. Tragg...

"If you didn't have that badge and a gun.....Things would certainly be even.."said ADA Chris Garcetti..

"BOTH OF YOU!!! BEAT IT!" said B.L. who put his arms around Karen

and kissed her passionately...

for all to see..

"Come on baby, let's find another table." he said,.

Lt. Tragg turned beet red....He stood up, stomped his foot and stormed out....

ADA Chris Garcetti stood up...He was escorted to another table...He too was beet red.....

Attorney Jessica Sanchez , who he would be facing in court roared with laughter...She couldn't control herself..

"I wouldn't date either of those guys...Lt. Tragg or Chris Garcetti." she laughed, shaking her head.

"You couldn't melt and pour either of them on me either Jessie."said Olivia.

"Ditto." said Beverly...

"I sure wouldn't want to be in her shoes...Have two knuckleheads fighting over me."said Josie.


Jessica ,Olivia, Beverly and Josie giggled at first, then they began laughing...

 Nelson shrugged his shoulders ..He didn't say anything...Chris was looking right at him...

I just smiled...What else was I to do??
