It's A Shame

 BAYSIDE- a suburb of Philadelphia PA.  24 Hours Later...

New ADA , Diane Baranksi sat in the lobby of Blue Bar and waited patiently, drinking her Citris Martini...

waiting for her visitor...

Former FBI Agent, turned Private Investigator, Bert Vandenberg...

"Sorry I'm late baby.." he said and plopped a file down on her table..

It was photos of Ms. Yvette and my wife, Bee Bee...

"They've all been busy...11:00 am, Yvette Lockwood and her little protoge, Beatrice Jones met with and enlisted the services of this man... His name is Lawrence Stevenson...An Attorney and also a Forensic Accountant who does financial autopsies of major corporations..." said Bert.

"Oh really? Hmmmm!" said a puzzled Diane Baranski...

"There is more...Here..look" he said...He showed her photos of Me and Sofia.

"That's Keith Jones and Sofia Garcia-Ahmed... They met with Judge Percy Reynolds for an hour and a half...They secured a court order and subpeonas....For what and who, I don't know yet, but I'm still watching them..."said Bert...

"Hmmm Two of them meet with an Attorney ,who also is a forensic accountant and the other two meet with a Judge and secure subpeonas and a court order.." said Diane..."What are they up to and what does this have to do with their murder case?" she asked.

"While that was going on these two.." he said, showing her photos of Kahlil and Ms. Jade.

Attorney Kahlil Ahmed and Jade Lee, their investigator  visited the Medical Examiner's Office

They talked in length to Dr. Hazel Baylor..

They looked at a more complete autopsy.....

They hooked up with Keith Jones and Sofia Garcia -Ahmed

and the four of them met with police officials...and got tapes of the Street Cams, Traffic Cams and

Business and ATM Cams in the entire area...

They met with Yvette Jones and Bee Bee Evans in this diner in Camden...

To compare notes and discuss the case....."said Bert...

"Hmmmmm Yvette Jones takes nothing to chance...I don't know what she's up to, but she and her crew are being very thorough...and they appear to be very organized...Stay on them...Good work Bert.." said 

Diane..

"And now...uh for my uh payment?" laughed Bert...

Diane smiled..

"For what you're about to get...I shouldn't have to pay anything....Cash wise that is.." she smiled.

A half an hour later and 16 floors up....Bert had Diane bent over the bathroom sink , while he plowed into her..

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! OHHHHHHHHHHHH MY GODDDDDDD!!!" she moaned....

"OHHHHHHHHHHH....OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... OHHHHHHHHH GEEEEEZ!" he moaned...

"OHHHH MY GODDDDD, YOU'RE A BEAST!!!!" she exclaimed..

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM..ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!" he moaned.

They were rocking so hard the foundation of the sink was coming apart..

and within an hour they were on the living room floor..

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH   BERT....OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she screamed..

"GEEEEEEEEEZ!" he yelled... "I'VE BEEN WANTING TO GET YOU IN THE SACK SINCE I MET YOU!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" he screamed.. as she banged both of her fist on the floor...

Bert was near delirium.....

"OUUUUUUUUU I'M CUMMING!!" she yelled as her legs began to shake furiously and she moved her head from side to side...sweat and tears just flowing down her face..

Bert was sweating profusely...

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMM!" he moaned..

While they were in Bayside ,making love...We were going about our business..

Ms. Yvette, Lawrence Stevenson and Ms. Jade entered the Bridgerton Company armed with a court order and subpeonas  and began going through the books and recent records of the deceased Micheal Presser...The money trail would tell us a lot..

While the four of us worked on our case at our good friends and neighbors ,Olivia Bennett-Alexander and Beverly West East's office Duplex..It was right across the street from where we lived..It was close and it was safe.

"Thank you for letting us work on our case over here Liv, Beverly."said Bee Bee..

''And Ms. Yvette said Thank you for the use of Lawrence Stevenson for our case."said Sofia.

"Oh stop it...You're all family....You guys know you are always welcome here and to use our resources.."said Olivia.

"And you know you like hanging out with us.."said Beverly, jokingly...

"Not to mention your mother's baking.." I said..

"YEAHHH!" said Kahlil..

"And we thought it was our broad legal knowledge.."joked Donnie Ray 

"And good counsel"joked Nelson...

"Speaking of which...I smell doughnuts and coffee right now." said Josie..

"Come and get it guys.."said Alfreda..

She put a plate of freshly baked doughnuts and hot coffees for us on the table..

We loved coming here..It was right across the street from us...We were amongst friends and the finest legal minds in the city and their office was secure from any outside electronic or other surveilience..

We went over witness statements...Autopsy reports..Crime scene information, Jury selection and general trial strategy....

And at the Office of the District Attorney....

Two beautiful bouquets of flowers arrived at the D.A.'s office...Both were for new ADA Diane Baranski... One was from Lt. Arthur Tragg and the other was from Bert Vandenberg...

"I wish someone would send me flowers...They're beautiful..." said ADA Yvonne Harris..

"I'll send you flowers doll!" joked ADA Cal McCafferty....as he helped her run water into vases and place the flowers...

"That's sweet Cal, but you're married.."laughed Yvonne..

''Let's see, who are these from? Ohhh goddd...This one is from Lt. Tragg...It's her misfortune she has to work a case with him...Her first case here... This other one is from Bert Vandenberg....The FBI guy.."said Cal..

"You're behind the times Cal...He used to be FBI...He left the bureau a couple of years ago...He's a high priced P.I. now."laughed Yvonne..

"And they're both sending her flowers...We are going to need a scorecard to keep up with our new ADA's love life."joked Cal as they both shared a laugh..

III-

The Preliminary Hearing began and it was more like a trial.. Lasting a week when something like this usually lasts a day...

ADA Baranski...I have to give it to her was very sharp and had good information...we figured we might have been followed or observed, which was why we did much of our strategizing at Olivia and Beverly's house...but she knew about our theory that Presser may have come upon some damaging information concerning Bad Loans the company took out and Money Laundering and Wire fraud..She immediately fought hard to supress this information and keep it out of the trial..

Ms. Yvette as well as Olivia and Beverly had taught us to prepare for every scenario, every emergency..She too felt that we might be being watched and followed and she prepared a brilliant legal argument as to why this information was paramount to our case... 

She ,Bee Bee and Sofia spent three days arguing why that information should not be supressed...

ADA Baranski gave as good as she got and I could perfectly see why she had a 100-0 reputation in prosecutions in Boston...She was a talented adversary...Smart and well prepared...

But Judge Tad Thornton, who was very impartial and not in anyway slanted toward us...Agreed with our argument and ruled that we could use the evidence we had found..

A Major victory for us..

Our client, Jane Martin was impressed..

"YOU GUYS ARE BEASTS!!!!! I LOVE YALL.....Ms. Yvette, Bee Bee and Sofia are a well oiled machine....I didn't think they were going to win this point.."she said.

"You aint seen nothin yet...Wait til we get started.." I said..

"Yeah.."said Kahlil..

Ms. Jade smiled..

But ADA Diane Baronski just could not let it go...She continued to argue and threatened to appeal the motion...

But Judge Tad Thornton didn't appreciate it at all..

"I have made my ruling and that is that...If you wish to appeal, you can do so after this trial..but as far as this trial go...My ruling stands..." he said..

She was so furious...So furious..she hardly noticed Lt. Tragg's hands up her skirt, rubbing her legs and thighs and smoothly palming her butt...

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" she moaned and smiled at him..

"It's alright babe...I told you he is an asshole..."said Lt. Tragg, who was as red as a beat....

"Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" he moaned as he softly tugged at the waistband of her panties..

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, ohhhhh cut it out!" she whispered seductively and removed his hands...

They both were as red as a beet and smiled at each other sheepishly.....

The rest of the hearing went on as if it were a trial..

With ADA Baronski arguing that Jane Martin, whether she was being sexually assaulted as she claimed or not ,did strike Mike Presser on the head with a heavy ashtray more than enough times to fend him off, fracturing his skull in several places and causing his death and then tried to cover it up..

She produced Traffic cam photos of Jane's car leaving the parking garage the same night..

I questioned the Parking Attendent concerning her demeaner that night ....

Kahlil produced her clothing from that night and the dead man's clothing that had her lipstick smeared on it..and drops of pre-ejaculate semen on his boxer shorts....

"She was being manhandled and assaulted, but she did not kill him...He was alive when she left..He threatened to fire her the next day."said Kahlil..

"My client and I only learned of his death the next morning....Her day off when we appeared to file sexual harrassment charges against him.."said Bee Bee..

It had been four days... Judge Thornton ruled..

"Okay...I've heard quite enough and I'm sure..there is a lot more  to be heard.....I am holding the defendent over for trial on the charge of first degree murder...This is Thursday....Trial will begin promptly , Tuesday at 10:00 am..be prepared for trial." he said and he banged his gavel...

"Great job guys...We are as ready as we'll ever be...Let's go out and grab a few cold ones..." said Yvette.

"Great Idea Ms. Yvette" said Bee Bee..

I put my arm around Bee Bee and squeezed her tight...

"I know what I'd like to grab.." I said.

"You always want to grab it.." she said and laughed...She liked being adored as such!

"I'm Hungry..."said Sofia...

"Yeah..I'm a little horny too!" whispered Kahlil in her ear..

"I just want to get out of here.."said Jane..

"The Car is parked out front..." said Jade.

Soon after the court cleared out..Lt. Tragg peaked his head into the Judges Chambers....

ADA Baronski was inside, touching up her make up and fixing her hair..

"Oh Lieutenant....did you want something?" she asked.

"Yes....I want you and I think you know it and I think we've been building up to this.." he said..

"Ohhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyy!" she said....

He pulled her to him and they shared a passionate kiss.....

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" she moaned... There was no lecture about this being inappropriate.. He liked that...She was his kind of prosecutor for more reasons than one..

"Lieutenant?" she asked..

"Mmmmmmmmmm, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..Yesssssss" he moaned.

"I want you to go back over that crime scene...Get me anything extra you can.." she whispered in his ear in between slow ,smouldering kisses..

"Anything you want.."said Lt. Tragg...

He slipped her panties down...She stepped out of them...He unzippered his trousers and they dropped to the floor..He lifted her up...

Lt. Tragg had a pleased as punch smile on his face.

We returned to our new favorite spot...

"Does this place have anything other than Burgers?" asked Sofia..

"I'm sure it does...Let's check out a menu.."said Kahlil..

"Ouu Mango Martinis...That's my first order.."said Bee Bee.

I was like Sofia, very hungry...And looking at a menu..

"Well we are right where I wanted us to be...Ready for trial...We've done all of the background work...We are going to get you off.."said Yvette...

"She's good you know...I hear she's never lost a case.." said Jane.

"There is always a first time..."said Jade..

Gary walked in..He sat down, browsed a menu...

"Got a little information for you about your uh Assistant District Attorney, Diane Baronski.....Did you ever ask yourself why a woman like her, a successful woman with 100 straight victories and surprisingly no losses just up and quit the D.A.'s office and left the city altogether?" asked Gary with a sly grin across his face..

"I've asked myself that one million times..."I said..

Ms. Yvette grinned and nudged me playfully....

''Well I know some guys from Boston P.D.  and I called and did a little inquiry and they tell me..Ms. Baronsky was caught in a motel room , in bed with the Judge , who was presiding over her case...A very controversial murder case.... That was bad enough...but there was a nasty rumor going around that she was already having a torrid affair with one of the defendent's attorneys... She recused herself from the trial and she turned in her resignation and within weeks she had left town...

She apparently still has a few friends in the District Attorney's office....The story was killed...It never made the paper...but she was told she had to resign, which she did...She left the city in shame.." said Gary..

"So Ole Girl has a little freak in her..."laughed Kahlil..

"Apparently more than a little.."laughed Jane.

"Do you think she's sleeping with anyone involved in this case?" asked Sofia..

"Well Certainly not Judge Thornton....He was this close to sending her to the cooler.."said Bee Bee..

"That's for sure...."laughed Ms. Yvette...

"I'm ready to order..."said Jade..

"Me too!" I said.

"Ummmmmmmmmmm they are good."said Sofia..

Ms Yvette sat on Gary's lap and they fed each other..

Gary looked as pleased as punch...

"They are such cute couples...When this is over...I'm gonna find me a man.."said Jane Martin to Ms. Jade..

who smiled as we all drank and enjoyed our food..
