Swendelton

Another overcast day...There seemed to be a lot of them lately...

Back at our Office/Duplex we were back to work on this case...

Most of the morning,

were in our law library-adjacent to our building.. looking up laws, predicates and cases relevant to this case..

Olivia and Nelson were in the media room looking at the Jury pool and the work ups I had done on practically each one and deciding on what type of juror they wanted for this case and fashioning their argument..

"If you ,Bev and I had had access to this and a good investigator when we were Public Defenders, our lives would have been immensely easier.."said Olivia to Nelson..

"Oh Heck yeah.." said Nelson, who out of every one here, had worked with Olivia the longest...even Beverly, who came along a year later after she finished law school and passed the bar.

In our kitchen, Alfreda was trying to prepare a treat for us..but was having a hard time...Her boyfriend and frequent visitor ,Assistant District Attorney Rockland Cambridge was kissing her and trying unsuccessfully to pry her tight jeans open..

''Rockland....ROCKLAND!! would you please calm yourself down? I swear, you act like you don't see me five out of seven nights a week...Plus almost everyday here...Do you ever sleep at your own place anymore? My goodness..You're the horniest man alive." laughed Alfreda, who liked the attention, but would never let him know that!
"I can't help it Freda, you are so damn hot.." said Rockland, who was breathing heavily...

''Well chill out Horny toad.. Stand in here a minute until you calm down and come in the conference room and get some of this food.." said Alfreda.

She had prepared a cold cut tray of meats and cheeses and hard Italian rolls for sandwiches , with mustard, mayo and cole slaw..

She was above and beyond the best office manager ever!!

"Break time!" said Olivia...

''This is the best law firm everrrrrrrr!" said Bresha. She was tickled pink to be working for us.. The firm was Black owned...Black female run...AND THEY FED YOU! she always said.

"Mommy everything looks delish." said Beverly...

''My Caterer guy had this stuff left over from his last gig and he didn't want it to waste, so he gave it to me for free and one of his cold trucks, which I have to return tonight..Could someone follow me and then take me home?" said Alfreda.

"Of course...I'll do it..No problem." said her son in law , Nelson..

"WOWWWW!" said Josie as she began making a sandwich...

As we sat and ate our lunch, I plopped a huge glossy photo on the table..

''This cool cat...is Attorney Ronald Munson.. You may have seen him at all of the court appearences of Judge Stephon White...In the back of the courtroom, not saying anything...He's who we should have been looking into all along.." I said.

Ronald Kyle Munson

Ran for States Attorney-Defeated by Tanya Mosley

Ran for Lt. Governor, Lost nomination to Stephon White.

"Mr. Munson has been quite ambitious.. Five runs for Public office and five losses... he couldn't even get the nomination for Lt. Governor." said Olivia..

'' And he was as mad as he could be about that! Not just that, but WHO he lost the nomination to. Stephon White.  What he has in common with our client ,Good judge, Stephon White and the late, Paul Johnson is that all three men worked at Colgate and Sons in Wilmington around the same time.. Paul Johnson and Stephon White were friends, often throwing each other work, you know, excess cases.. You know, the same way Beverly and Josie throw Bresha excess cases they don't want..." I said laughing..
Beverly howled with laughter and hugged Bresha, kissing her on the cheek..

"We do it to give you experience baby." she said.. She dearly loved Bresha and thought of her as a little sister.
''Uh  Huhhhh rightttttt!" laughed Bree, who was such a good sport.. She loved Beverly and Josie and thought of both of them as the Big Sisters she never had.
"Sure, We wanted you to get some experience under your belt.. Beverly and Nelson did me the same way..AND STILL DO!" laughed Josie, also hugging Bresha.

"Cause we love you!" said Nelson, kissing Josie on the cheek.
''That's right." said Beverly, who also hugged Josie.

Olivia looked at her niece and her niece's husband, Her most trusted lieutenants and just shook her head and laughed.

"Munson  never liked Stephon White... He thought of him as cocky and a bit of a grand stander...When he became involved with Johnson's ex-wife... He made sure he knew what his "friend" was up to...

Five years ago.. Munson and Johnson represented John Swendelton, a businessman involved in the then illegal Marijuana importation and distribution industry..|" I said.,

"He had a hot package on the street." said Nelson, breaking it down in Laymen's terms.
Olivia cracked up laughing.

''Swendelton had a lot of money.. a lot of money he couldn't report. Munson needed a war chest to support his aspirations for public office.. He got Johnson to research for a way to do it.. This led to a Hypothetical conversation with Stephon White..who may have told them how to do what they wound up doing... Munson transferred a large portion of Swendelton's  assets into his own accounts, using the interest gained on those assets to pay for his unsuccessful run for States Attorney... Some money was passed through different hands and some calls were made and the equally ambitious Stephon White wound up becoming a seated Judge.. A good friend to have... And if he ever needed a favor, Paul Johnson would always be there to remind him of how he got his seat.... They had Good Judge White in their pocket or so they thought..

When Both Stephon White and Ronald Munson BOTH decided to run for Lt. Governor.. Munson just knew he was a shoe in... Everybody thought so and then Stephon White shocked the world when HE won the nomination...  Munson was livid and was going to use his old partner Johnson to rein him in with the fraud charge, The conspiracy charge.. With the money in pocket accounts in the Caymen island, it would never get back to Munson.  It could look like those accounts belonged to White. It would be hard to prove that they didn't." I said.

''We need to talk to Swendelton..."said Olivia.

"To do that you're going to need a medium.. Swendelton was found floating in the Biscayne Bay last summer...One gun shot between the eyes.. Apparently his backers, whoever they are no longer trusted him.

He won't help anybody and just think,  all that loose money..unaccounted for in one of Munson's Pocket accounts.." I said.

''I don't get it.. He'd be hard pressed to prove any of this in a court of law..Regardless"said Beverly..

''He doesn't have to prove it.. The accusation, the smell of impropriety...A trial this close to the election in May, all but destroys Stephon's chances.."said Olivia.

''Then why kill your one witness?" asked Josie.

"Because Paul Johnson was no longer reliable.. He'd been a drunk for five years... His wife leaving him and then carrying on with a man he thought was a friend broke him...He was no longer any good..And then the thought of what he did.. The Swendelton business betrayed everything about the law that he had ever believed in... He couldn't face himself anymore.. He was destroyed as a man as a lawyer.. So he drank, to forget..And in the end, he wasn't going to play ball anymore...That and Munson was tired of paying a man who basically was not working.. He had to go and a murder rap is even more damaging than an accusation of fraud." I said.

''We haven't even gone to trial yet and they've already removed Stephon White from consideration for the nomination...So much for innocent until proven guilty." said Nelson.

"You know if Lt. Tragg had really dug deep into this, Like you did before making an arrest, Stephon could have been spared..." said Bresha.

"They got his prints on the Pitcher of water and the glass....The Bartender told him that a woman and Stephon were in the room with Paul."said Nelson.

"I read the crime report.. The Hotel called 911...They didn't even know it was a homicide yet.. Just a dead man in his  room. Hazel and Marcy were getting ready to call Homicide ,when Lt. Tragg arrived already and confiscated the pitcher, the beer bottle and the drink glasses... Now he's not that good.. He had first hand information. He had to have had it."said Beverly..

''He probably had an anonymous tip. Isn't that how he usually gets on to these type of cases.?" I said.

"It's all so simple.. Neicey Poo, you've been an attorney in this city for awhile now...YOU KNOW Lt. Tragg louses up these cases..All of the ADA's know it...including his girlfriend...NONE of them want to work with him...Why do you think they call in so many outside Special Prosecutors here of late.So if you're setting someone up...If you're setting up a frame, you don't want a good detective on the case..You want the dumbest detective in the city on the case..You want to make sure he gets the case..because he'll never get close to you...So whoever is the string puller.. made sure Lt. Tragg got on the case.  Donnie Ray, looked deeper into this than he did...Interviewed people Lt. Tragg never went near and he got us all of this information in relatively two to three days.. Lt. Tragg has been on this case for two weeks and has nothing more than what he started with... He's wasted his time running his hands up ladies skirts and ripping their panties off..and annoying the hell out of us.." said Olivia.

''When you put it that way Auntay, it all makes sense." said Beverly.

II-

The Preliminary Hearings began..

Judge Julie Wong was on the bench.

Olivia, Beverly, Nelson, Josie and Bresha sat with Judge Stephon White... I sat on the side of him..

Assistant District Attorney Cal McCafferty argued that Stephon White basically bought his seat by helping local businessman, now deceased ,John Swendelton hide his money from the IRS ,in return for money being used to grease the palms of certain people and win him his seating as a Judge.

Olivia and Beverly argued passionately that their client never heard of or met with the late James Swendelton and received no money from him whatsoever..

Bresha produced Stephon White's Tax returns and Banking statements which showed no excess money...

Cal McCafferty produced evidence of Pocket accounts in the Caymen Island..all with phony names and all now closed ,pointing to the fact that this is where the money was funnelled.

Josie ,Nelson and Olivia challenged the validity of these accounts belonging to Stephon White, noting that his lifestyle hadn't changed much and noting his actual movements on the days transactions were made...

ADA Cal McCaferty said that the transfers could have been made by a laptop and or a phone..

Beverly, Bresha and Olivia presented Stephon White's Laptops , Business phones and Personal phones, showing no transfer were made into any of the named accounts ever!

ADA Cal McCafferty was frustrated... We were meeting his every challenge... He had hired an investigator from his own D.A.'s office to get the information he did have...He knew he couldn't rely on Lt. Tragg, who had given him next to nothing.

Lt. Tragg sat next to him pompously, thinking the case was wrapped up, yet still feeling frustrated at what Olivia and her team were doing..

Judge Julie Wong  said at the end of the week..

"I see enough here to warrant a trial...It is Friday...Trial will begin Monday Morning at 10:00 am sharp, be on time and be prepared for trial." she said.

Attorney Ron Munson sat in the back of the courtroom... He was getting up and getting ready to go when Nelson blocked his way..

''Attorney Munson..This is for you." said Nelson, slapping a subpeona in his hands before he could exit court.

"WHYYY YOU LITTLE BASTARD!" snarled Ronald Munson...

''Nervous Ron? You ought to be." said Stephon White glaring at him angrilly..He wanted to punch his lights out.

"Come on man, not like this...We are going to beat him in court." I said.

"Come on Stephon, you shouldn't be talking to him.." said Olivia.

''Yeah ,cool it Stephon, Let's get out of here." said Beverly.
''Let's go to Sam Mother's and get some cool drinks." said Josie trying to calm him down..
''Yeah, come on." said Bresha,.
"Let['s go out the side door." I said.

Lt. Tragg watched the entire thing from a distance..

Against our better judgement...We all went to Sam Mothers Diner..

Judge Stephon White declined.. He got in his car and headed back to his hotel room.

We had Ham Salad sandwiches..and a big pitcher of Ice tea.

''We are in a great position folks , We held our own without playing our entire hand." said Olivia.
''I wonder if McCafferty played much of his hand...I was surprised he knew about that Swendelton business." I said.
"Lieutenant Tragg didn't uncover that...I'm thinking he employed an Investigator from the D.A.'s office to uncover that."said Beverly..
"Oh sure he did...he didn't look any further than the fingerprints on the water pitcher. and the glasses."said Nelson.
''What are we going to do about that? He was in that room..He admits he poured him a glass of water." said Josie.

"Yeah, but that Pitcher was already there...Already full...And there was a woman in the room with Paul Johnson, before Stephon White got there....Bridget Honeywell-Johnson...Maybe she spiked that water..How do we know?" said Bresha.

''We don't ,but we need to know.. I'm going to get a subpoena together for her..Anybody know where she might be? where she hangs out?" asked Olivia.
"I'll find out! Heads up." I said..

Lt. Tragg walked into Sam Mother's...He was almost salivating when he saw us sitting around drinking Ice Tea..

"WELLLLLLLLLL..Look who it is.. The Doomed Defense....Think you got it all wrapped up eh?  " he asked, always trying to needle us..Always trying to get a dig in.

''We like our chances." said Beverly.

"OH YOU DO,  DO YOU?  WELL FORGET IT..HE'S AS GUILTY AS HELL!!!...WE GOT HIS PRINTS ON THE WATER PITCHER, HIS PRINTS ON THE DRINK GLASS AND TESTIMONY THAT HE WENT TO HIS ROOM!! HE'S TOAST...YOUR MAGIC TRICKS WON'T WORK THIS TIME LIV, I SAW YOU GUYS TRYIN, BUT YOU GOT NOTHIN!" he bellowed.

"Well at least YOU think so." said Olivia softly...
"Huh? What? WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT? Huh? WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY A CRACK LIKE THAT?" said Lt. Tragg.
"Oh Nothing...Nelson, here is my card.. Go pay Sam...We gotta go..We got work to do."said Olivia.
"Got'cha Liv."said Nelson, who got up and walked toward the counter...

Bresha, Josie and Beverly giggled...and got up, following me out the door to the car.
"I'm going to get the car Liv."I said , walking out the door and heading toward the parking lot..

"I ASKED YOU A QUESTION...WHAT DID YOU MEAN BY THAT CRACK?" he bellowed.

''See you in court Lieutenant." said Olivia.

"It would be nice if we didn't have to." said Beverly..

Josie and Bresha cracked up..

Nelson walked up..

"We are ready to go Liv" he said and passed her her credit card..

"I would love to chat Lieutenant, but we've got work to do...Chow!" said Olivia as we left.

We all loaded up in our vehicle and pulled off.

"Think he'll pay us a visit Auntay." said Beverly..

"I'm certain of it.."laughed Olivia.

III-

Like clockwork ,Lt. Tragg was at our door...Ringing the doorbell and banging on the door. I wasn't there.

Alfreda answered the door..

''WARRANT!!" she said.

"STEP ASIDE...DON'T MAKE ME MOVE YOU!" said Lt. Tragg.

"WARRANT" Alfreda said again and then slammed the door in his face..

Lt. Tragg was livid, but only for a minute.

Three Sherrif's Deputies drove up and placed him under arrest...He was under C&D and not supposed to be here...He protested, but he was cuffed and driven away..

 Another deputy commandeered his car.

It was a night in the cooler for him or several nights It was Thursday...He sat in the cell, steaming, furious...He wouldn't be out until Monday Morning!

Olivia ,Beverly, Nelson, Josie and Bree all howled with laughter and high fived... I wasn't there to see it.

I was on my way to Cherry Hill , New Jersey..

Stephon White had met with Bridget Honeywell-Johnson yet again.. For an afternoon of lovemaking that began around 11:30 am...

"Mmmmmmmmm, ouuuuuu baby, you feel sooo good!" said  Bridget.

"Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, so do youuu!" he said,

"OHHHHHH MYYY GODDD! STEPHON!! UMMMMMMMMMMMM!" she cooed.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Bridget....WHAT ARE WE DOING BABY?" he asked.

"MAKING LOVE!" she whispered.

"Sweet Love." he said.

"YESSSSSSSS!" she added.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU GIVE IT TO ME, GIVE IT ALL TO MEEE!" she screamed as he held her up, long stroking her.

"OH MY GODDDD I'M ABOUT TO LOSE MY MIND!" he said.

He didn't know if he was coming or going.
That was NINE or TEN HOURS AGO!!  It was now a quarter to nine...

Bridget was leaving...Totally exhausted...  She had showered and dressed. Stephon White was sleeping soundly in his  room..

She came down into the lobby...Just as she had every other night before..She was headed towards the parking lot and home..

I smiled..

She looked me up and down and smiled..

"Hello...I wish I wasn't so tired..." she said.

I smiled too!

"That's okay Bridget...My name is Donnie Ray Alexander...I'm an investigator.. I work for the attorneys defending Mr. White upstairs on Murder charges...This is for you." I said and placed a subpoena in her hands.

"Good Night" I said and walked toward my car,

She stood there glaring at me.

THREE DAYS LATER-

Nelson was in court doing his thing...He knew the type of juror we wanted and he was more than up to the task of jousting with ADA Cal McCafferty..

He was no match for Nelson, at least not today..

Nelson wound up with all 12 jurors we wanted..

Olivia, Beverly,Josie and Bresha all smiled at him and gave him the thumbs up..

So did I...

Lt. Tragg walked into court...He'd been released from the cooler just hours before...He had been arrested Thursday Night and they held him Friday, Saturday and , Sunday, releasing him early this morning, just in time for him to shave and shower and put on a new suit..  A lot of the cops and detectives who knew him were snickering about his predicament.. He didn't find it at all funny...He was livid and he glared at the five of us with a white hot anger as he took his seat next to Cal.

The next day , the trial began.. It was like Deja Vu of the preliminary hearings...

Judge Julie Wong was on the bench.

Olivia, Beverly, Nelson, Josie and Bresha sat with Judge Stephon White... I sat on the side of him..

Assistant District Attorney Cal McCafferty didn't seem to be  showing us anything new.. He once again argued that Stephon White basically bought his seat by helping local businessman, now deceased ,
John Swendelton hide his money from the IRS ,in return for money being used to grease the palms of certain people and win him his seating as a Judge.

Olivia and Beverly argued passionately that their client never heard of or met with the late James Swendelton and received no money from him whatsoever.. They challenged ADA McCafferty to prove that there was ever any meeting between the two.  He couldn't. Score one for the defense.

Bresha produced Stephon White's Tax returns and Banking statements which showed no excess money...and no interaction with any of Swendelton's known bank accounts. Score two for the defense.
She produced every one from Stephon White's law firm..None of them ever heard of John Swendelton.
She was good. She reminded us of Jazzy the way she questioned the witnesses and presented the facts.

Cal McCafferty produced evidence of Pocket accounts in the Caymen Island..all with phony names and all now closed ,pointing to the fact that this is where the money was funnelled.

Josie ,Nelson and Olivia challenged the validity of these accounts belonging to Stephon White, noting that his lifestyle hadn't changed much and noting his actual movements on the days transactions were made...but they produced one account belonging to Attorney Ronald K. Munson in which a huge amount of money was transferred to recently...An Amount that surprisingly amounted to the same amount of money that was in all of those pocket accounts...A big mistake on Munson's part..

Josie and I had found the discrepancy..

ADA Cal McCafferty was totally frustrated.... He again argued that White transferred the money himself by use of a phone or laptop.. Again there was no proof and he knew it..

Beverly, Nelson and Olivia argued this point brilliantly...
much to Cal McCafferty's consternation...

"They're gotdamn magicians...They'll use any trick, any legal trick to get an edge." complained Lt. Tragg.

They didn't know it..but the worse was yet to come for them.

Beverly, Bresha and Olivia presented Stephon White's Laptops , Business phones and Personal phones, showing no transfers were made into any of the named accounts ever! Just as they had done in the preliminaries..

Cal McCafferty closed his case.. He practically used jury nullification, but he didn't prove anything..Except that Stephon was in the room with him and have gave him a glass of water...A Fatal Glass.

Olivia reminded the jury that a woman was also in the room with the victim when Stephon White arrived..She was never arrested or even questioned.

Cal McCafferty looked like he was hearing this for the first time.. He angrilly glared at Lt. Tragg.

"They got nothin...There was no fingerprints or DNA in the room except White's...Nobody even knew the woman's name." explained Lt. Tragg.

"YOU BETTER HOPE THEY DON'T" snarled Cal McCafferty...

IV-

It had rained most of the week... The day our defense began...It stopped raining and the sun came out..
There was a beautiful rainbow in the sky...Maybe that was a good omen... Olivia thought so..

Olivia promised the jury that she wasn't going to keep them long...

''We are here about a murder...Nothing More, Nothing less" she said and she showed the jury photos of the dead Paul Johnson in his bed..  She produced the Pitcher of Water with his fingerprints on them and the glass which also had his fingerprints on them...

''We know my client gave Mr. Johnson a drink of water, a fatal drink of water...but he didn't spike that water, that water was spiked when he arrived in that room, unknown to him...And there was a woman in that room , she had been there before he arrived. I call my first witness..Ms. Bridget Honeywell -Johnson." she said.

The strikingly beautiful Bridget Honeywell-Johnson took the stand and was sworn in...

''Ms. Johnson...You were with your ex-husband that day weren't you? remember , you are under oath." said Beverly...

Josie turned on the 64 inch monitor that showed Bridget sitting next to Paul Johnson at the bar..

"Yes, I was with him at the bar..but I never went to his room..." she said.

'That's a lie! She was in that room ,She was in there before I got there." said Stephon White..
"Relax!" I said to him..

"That's not true..."said Nelson.. I have three people here , who will testify that you were in that room,at least ten minutes before Mr. White arrived.. Mr. Hall, who was staying down the hall...Mrs. Cooper, the cleaning woman you passed in the hallway and Mr. Hallibut, room service who brought the pitcher of water and a beer...They are all here to testify to seeing you in that room a full 10 minutes before Mr. White arrived. Now did you spike that water?" asked Nelson..

''Alright, I was there..I was there.. but I didn't spike the water...I swear I didn't.."said a very nervous Bridget.

''We know that.. These three people will also testify that there was another visitor  there that day too..
Ronald Munson, but he only stayed a few minutes.."said Bresha.

"I-I never saw him...He was gone when we got there. Stephon and me." said Bridget nervously..

"I have a telephone record here...From your phone....You called him, about a half hour later... Did you call him to tell him you had poisoned your ex-husband and he was good and dead/" asked Olivia.

"No..No..No...You can't lay a murder rap on me.. I was just there to make sure he drank...I didn't spike the water, Ron did that!!! I was just there to make sure he drank..I didn't kill him.. I had nothing to do with that." she said.

"SHUT UP GIRRRLLL, SHUT UP!!! SHUT UPPPPPP!  THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING...THEY WERE JUST FISHING!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU PLAY IT COOL????? YESSSSSSSS I KILLED HIM!!
HE WAS TOO MUCH OF A LOOSE CANNON....I WANTED THAT NOMINATION...I DESERVED THAT NOMINATION....I'VE BEEN FIGHTING FOR THAT NOMINATION FOR YEARS...STEPHON WHITE WAS A HOT SHOT, A JERK!!!... HE DIDN'T DESERVE THAT NOMINATION....HE DIDN'T DESRVE IT!!! IT WAS MINE!! MINE!!! MINNNNNNNNE! GOTDAMN ITTTTT!!!! DAMN ITTT! " screamed Ron Munson, who was having an emotional breakdown...He was sweating and shaking something fierce....

"BAILLIFS. Take that man into custody and Take Mrs. Honeywell-Johnson, also..." said Judge Julie Wong.. "All Charges against Mr. White are dismissed." she said.

ADA Cal McCafferty glared angrilly at Lt. Tragg..

"YOUUUUUUUUU!   YOUUUUUUUUUUUU , YOU INCOMPETENT BOOOB!! GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!" he screamed as he stormed out of the courtroom..

Lt. Tragg looked like he'd swallowed a canary....

"OLIVIA, YOU'RE A MAGICIAN...I WAS CERTAIN I WAS HEADED TO PRISON, BUT ONCE AGAIN YOU AND YOUR TEAM PULLED IT OUT!" said a jubilant Judge Stephon White.
"I'm just glad we could help." said Olivia.
"Now, that've I have been exonerated and vindicated..It's back on the campaign trail to run for Lt. Governor." he said happily.
"That's great....I'm just glad we got this trial over before it could do you any harm..."said Beverly..
Nelson whispered to me..

"Uh It's too late for that." he said..
''What are you talking about?" I asked him..
"I'll tell you when we get out of here." he whispered.
"I feel like a cold one..where to, Curley's Josies, Aqua Bar?" asked Josie..
''Any place but Curley's." said Bresha, who had had her fill of Lt. Tragg...

He was nowhere to be seen.. He had quietly slipped out of the courthouse..

''I always maintained my innocence. I'm just glad I was able to prove it...Now I'd like to get back to campaigning for Lt. Governor.." said Stephon White to the press..

" Haven't you heard? They gave the nomination to Assistant District Attorney Abby Wilson this afternoon..."said a reporter..
"She accepted about an hour ago." said another.

"WHAT?" said Judge Stephon White, astounded and caught completely by surprise.
"That's what I was tryin to tell you Donnie Ray...I heard it on the news this morning, when Bev and I were getting dressed." said Nelson.
"Damnnn, poor guy...If Lt. Tragg hadn't of arrested him and forced this big trial instead of doing a thorough investigation first...He'd be campaigning right now.." I said.
"I feel so bad for him , but happy for Abby."said Olivia.
"Yeah, this is a nice come up for her."said Beverly.
"Wow, I can imagine.." said Josie..
"Nice come up for her, bitter come down for him...Still, it beats going to jail for life." said Bresha.

She was right about that!

EPILOUGE-

Ronald Munson was disbarred and convicted of First Degree Murder and sentenced to Life...
Bridget Honeywell-Johnson was convicted of Accessory to Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder and sentenced to 5-10 years...She would be paroled in 6 years and move out of Philadelphia.

Abby Wilson ran for Lt. Governor , but was narrowly defeated by her opponent....

As for us....We found a tony restaurant to dine at and celebrate our victory...

"Johnny , this food is delish." said Beverly...
"And the drinks!" said Nelson...
"Thank you so much Johnny for seeing us without a reservation." said Olivia.

"Yeah man, thanks." I said.

"Heyyyyy having such famous attorneys at my restaurant gives me major publicity and credibility...Enjoy!" said Chef Johnny Oland, once a client of our friend, Yvette Jones and her young
attorneys.

''UMMMMM....Just delicious." said Josie.
"Like you." said her husband, Paris, ogling her cleavage.
"Oh Hush!" said Josie, laughing, "But thanks for the compliment." she said, smiling at him.

''Enjoying yourself Baby?" asked Bresha to her husband, Tony
"I sure am." he said, wrapping his arms around her waist.

It was a wonderful night and a wonderful end to a case!
