Virginia And Jetty

 She couldn't believe it...She had been out of prison for a year and she had a new job, A Man ,New friends and was about to move out of her apartment... She was moving into a house...

Virginia Shaw, former Attorney, now Office Manager and Consultant at McCluskey/Cozen/ Conner & Pratt watched as now Three Uhaul trucks loaded her things and some of her husband to be, Jetty Duke's things in them..

The Beautiful young people she worked with and who worked in her building and who would also be her new neighbors were helping her pack her things..

"It's nice that your friends agreed to help move our things...All I had to do was rent these Uhaul vans...I didn't have to hire workers... and they wouldn't accept any money from me.."said her husband to be Jetty.

"They're Attorneys, Not street kids...They don't need the money."said Virginia..

"Yeah, I suppose you're right.. I really appreciate their help....now uh can I have a little sugar?" he asked.

"That's all you think about....Relax Jetty...We are going to be married in a week and a half and be in our own house..We can have sex on every floor...whenever you want...I promise you....but since after today, you won't see me for a week..Come on , inside.." said Virginia..

They walked inside and closed the door..

They kissed passionately in the back stairwell away from the view.

"Mister Clerow and his guys will be waiting for us at the house."said Bresha.

"I'm glad..we can use the help." said her husband, Tony..

"Ms. Virginia is so organized..."laughed Josie.

''She wrote a diagram of where she wants everything." said Paris

As the second Uhaul Truck was loaded.

"Okayyy, we are ready to roll." said Chip, who was driving the second  truck

While his wife, Jessica drove.

''Okay , we got this last truck loaded..." said Ray.

''Jazzy.. let's go home."said Kayla.

"Okay Ray...here I come." said Dabnis, who got in the front seat next to him...

"I'll get my car."said Jazzy.

As the third and final Uhaul truck pulled off..

Across the street and unknown to them....An unmarked police car was sitting

and snapping photos.

Lt. Tragg was a tortured soul , who when he had nothing to do, watched Ms. Virginia's apartment and her comings and goings.. He saw now that she was moving out of this apartment..and being helped by the young upstarts that associated with his nemesis...

Olivia Bennett-Alexander and Yvette Jones-Lockwood..  He noticed that he didn't see them this morning.

Lt. Tragg followed the Uhual trucks. To his surprise...

They stopped in front of a house on the same block that Olivia, Yvette and all of the others lived on..

In fact Olivia, Donnie Ray, Nelson, Yvette, Gary and Beverly were waiting for them..

"They're here...."said Olivia.

"Come on Nelson let's show them where to put everything." said Donnie Ray.

"They Know, Ms. Virginia drew up a diagram that shows them where everything goes.. Here comes Clerow and his guys...

"Here comes the caterer, the food is here." said Ms. Yvette.

"Let's wrap this up.." said Gary.

"Yayyyy" said Beverly..

"Everything is ready... We are going to eat in our conference room and the downstairs in the sub-basement is all ready for Virginia.."said Alfreda.

"Where is Jetty going to stay?" asked Rockland..

''He'll be staying in town with one of his friends after today...After today , he can't see Virginia for a week until the wedding."said Olivia.

"I always hated that tradition." said Gary..

"We all hated it." laughed Nelson. We all walked across the street to Olivia and Beverly's Office/Duplex

and to their conference room

The Food was delivered to the  conference room...

"Ouuu I can't wait to see the look on Virginia's face when she sees all of this..being done for her and Jetty." said Olivia.

"I can't wait to grab a plate and start eating." said Donnie Ray.

"I'm with you Donnie Ray, I'm starving.." said Beverly.

"Their house is all set up...All they have to do is walk into it..." said Nelson.

"Wow and to think...When I helped Liv and Bev move into this place...That whole side of the street that we all live on was practically empty....Only two houses were occupied... The one Kayla and Ray live in now was occupied by two elderly Black ladies...Both have died and the one you and I live in was occupied by a white man who has since moved...All the other houses were brand new and had for sale signs on them." said Josie.

"Now it's the exact opposite...They're all full except for one....."said Paris.

"This is sooo nice, all of us together."said Bresha.

''Yeah , it is." said Tony.

"I remember the first time I came to visit Olivia and Beverly.... None of these people were living here..It looked so lonely...I kinda felt sorry for them living up here.. Now look."said Alfreda.

"Everybody is living here."laughed Rockland, who was new to the neighborhood himself..

"This is a great area to live in.|"said Lem, who with his wife Zoey lived six blocks away....

"That's why we spend more time on this block then we do our own neighborhood."laughed his wife, Zoey...

The Champaigne was carted out..

"We've been drinking a lot of Champaigne lately."laughed Yvette..

''Well between Thanksgiving and these weddings and Christmas and New Years coming up...We'll all be drinking a lot more Champaigne."laughed her husband, Gary.

"I can't wait to see Ms. Virginia's face when they get here."said Sofia.

"She's going to be soooo excited."said Kahlil.

"I'm excited for her."said Bee Bee.

"I can see." I said.

''Let's pop a bottle" said Jade.

"Yeah" said her husband, Danny Ho.

We popped a few bottles and poured some Champaigne.

"Ummmmmmmmmm, this goes down sooo nice."said Jazzy.

"It does." agreed her husband, Dabnis.

"Pass me a glass."said Kayla.

"Pass me one too!"said her husband, Ray.

"This is sooooo nice, reminds me of when you and I got married and moved in."said Jessica.

"Yeah...Here they come."said Chip.

Everybody cheered when the soon to married couple walked in..

"Awwwwww thank you everybody, for everything..."said Virginia, who was nearly in tears...

"Thanks everybody..."said Jetty...

Outside in his unmarked police car, Lt. Tragg mused to himself..

''So they moved to a house on this street...I wonder where the dough came from? She's only been out of prison a year...Apparently they appear to be engaged.. It's about 30 people in there...I wonder what is the legal amount of people allowed to be in that structure?" he mused to himself.

He used his laptop to look up the lease... It was in both Jetty and Virginia's name and was paid for jointly...The question remained.. Where did the money come from on Virginia's end??  The answer to his second question... 65 people was the capacity limit for Olivia and Beverly's Office/Duplex...They had 30 people...They were fine.

Lt. Trump pulled off...There was nothing else to see.

TWO WEEKS LATER-

Ms. Virginia's Wedding was huge! She looked beautiful...Her hair was done up nicely and her wedding dress was amazing...Even though it was her second wedding...She insisted on wearing white..

Since both of her parents were deceased ,Yvette's husband, Gary walked her down the aisle to give her away...

Alfreda , who like Virginia was an Office manager, and had gotten very close to her, was her maid of honor..

She had plenty of bridesmaids.. Yvette, Olivia, Beverly, Bee Bee, Sofia,Kayla, Jade, Josie, Bresha, Jazzy, Jessica and Zoey....

and Jetty's  Groomsmen, Donnie Ray, Nelson, Keith Jones, Kahlil Ahmed, Ray St. Jacques, Danny Ho,Paris, Tony, Dabnis,Chip and Lem.

She had plenty of guests too..

They had rented a nice Villa  on the island of St. Phillip in Barbados...They had caught a late night flight from Philly to the Island and were spending their first night together as man and wife,,

Olivia and Beverly and her team had been here today working on a Wrongful Conviction Case with Jessica and Chip.

"That was a mad cool Christmas. don't look like we'll be going away this Christmas." said Tony.

"I know...Both vacations were fun, but it looks like we are going to be home this year.." said Bee Bee.

"Yeah, Barring a last minute situation or a gift from one of Olivia's grateful clients."joked Sofia.

''Yeah, your boss has been our great benefactor."joked Kahlil.

"I know right? But  I won't mind having Christmas here in Philly." said Josie.

"I'm looking forward to being home." said Paris.

"I'm thinking of having a Christmas Dinner at my house ,like we did for Thanksgiving with us inviting our families." said Kayla.

''Wouldn't you guys like that?" asked her husband, Ray.

"Yeah that would be kinda cool for dinner and celebrate the rest of the day cozied up with our significant others." said Jazzy.

"Yeah sounds good to me.."said Dabnis.

''Yeah me too!" said Jessica.

"Sounds Good to me." said Chip.

"You know Aqua Bar, Stoleys and Josie's will be having Bomb Ass Christmas Eve Parties." said Beverly.

"Yeah, we can get the Buses and go to each of them." said Nelson..

At Another table...
