Molly Chambers, newly returned to Philadelphia was offered Immunity from Prosecution if she testified against Dr. Milton Cornbluth in his assisted suicide case...Ironically enough, this was exactly what she was testifying to at the time she fled from Judge Elise Clemmons courtroom...
This time she had two new attorneys..
Our friends, Jessica Sanchez and Charles "Chip" Burrows of the Innocence Project...They got her an Immunity deal and she testified against Dr. Cornbluth, who was convicted of manslaughter charges...
She however did not have the same deal in her case in which she had to be a witness against Judge Elise Clemmons, who while still under indictment, was still a sitting Judge and allowed to work.
Lt. Tragg addressed the press...
"I think it's a shame and a disgrace that she's allowed to continue to work and as a Judge at that while under indictment for aiding and abetting a felon...I can't wait to see justice and due process done." he said.
to the National Press...This case had made National News...And he was a regular on CNN, MSNBC and FOX.....
As for us, Olivia, Beverly, Myself, Nelson and Josie.. We got driven into a myriad of cases...12 to be exact of possibly wrongfully convicted people who were seeking to have their convictions overturned.

Very busy attorneys Jessica Sanchez and Charles :Chip" Burrows, her fiancé of the Innocence Project had brought these cases to the Wrongful Conviction Unit and the 11 of us were being paid by both the City of Philadelphia and the Innocence Project...
Attorney and Former ADA Jasmine Coley, also our friend and neighbor , whose law office was in this building was working with us...
Her husband Dabnis, who had worked with us before was not involved in this, but he stopped by every morning for breakfast and at Lunch and to pick Jasmine up at night and helped out...
It was fun....Working from 8:00 am until 5:00...
Having Catered Meals ...Breakfast
and Lunch served to us there... and doing good work and having good fellowship...
Since she was still a sitting Judge, even under indictment...Judge Elise Clemmons agreed to sit in and be the arbitrator for us...

D.A.'s Investigator, Gary Lockwood
and myself
and Jade Lee had our hands full investigating 12 cases that was being split between all of these attorneys...
But in the end...It all worked out...We were able to get all 12 of these people, 7 men and 5 women's , All African-American , bogus convictions tossed out without having to go through a lengthy trial...
I almost hated when it was all over...
It meant we had to go back to the Judges trial...With The Cornbluth trial over...

TODAY-
We were all sitting in our conference room talking..
"That was a great experience last month, working with all of you talented attorneys on those cases..."said Judge Elise Clemmons..
"Yes...I was so amazed and I really shouldn't be, having been a Public defender about how sloppy our legal system can be and how so many innocent people can fall through the cracks at times."said Olivia.
"I felt like I was a Public Defender Again, except with Investigators and help....A Big Law Library at our disposal..Fresh eyes...It was a good experience.."said Beverly..
"This may sound funny coming from me, an ex-cop....But I like seeing the system work...I like when they get it right...I'm glad to know all you super lawyers." I said.
"We are glad we have you and Jade and Gary...Good Investigators who actually know how to do a proper investigation ."said Nelson..
"Unlike Lt. Tragg...who was the arresting officer in 10 of those 12 cases...."said Josie.
"Don't say his name....He's been on Television every night just lambasting me..Judge Reynolds sued the police department and him....I'm thinking of doing the same thing after this is all over.."said Judge Elise Clemmons..
"Molly got an Immunity deal, She got two very good attorneys and she testified against her former boss Dr. Cornbluth, which was what you asked her to do in the first place..And the D.A. dropped
Unlawful flight to avoid prosecution charges against her."said Olivia.
"She's as Free as a Bird.."said Beverly...
"She still has to testify in your case."said Nelson..
"You guys served her?" asked the Judge..
'The Prosecution did." said Josie..
"That doesn't look good.."sighed Elise..
"I wouldn't say that..."I said..
"We have a great defense planned for you..."said Olivia..
"And an appeal."said Beverly...
"You guys are the best....That's why I hired you."said Judge Elise Clemmons.
Just then our office manager and ADA Rockland Cambridge walked in..
"Hey we thought you might like to join us at Mabel Jenkins Soul Food Joint for Lunch.."said Alfreda.
"I know you guys usually go to uh Sam Mother's place... but wouldn't you like a change of venue? You wouldn't have to worry about running into Lt. Tragg...I heard about the brouhaha you guys had with him a month ago.."said Rockland..
''Excellent Idea.."said Olivia.
"Now He's a good lawyer."laughed Elise.
III-
Mabel Jenkins Soul Food Joint was an excellent choice...Mabel Jenkins and her sisters, Anita, Victoria and Cora Beth were from my native Louisiana...I hadn't talked to them in awhile..
Olivia and I and Beverly and Nelson sat at a table...
and ordered our meals along with
a scrumptious Cherry Cobbler...
And Mabel's Homemade sweet tea to wash it down...
While Alfreda, Rockland ,Josie and Elise sat at the table next to ours..
and ordered a meal and some Key Lime Pie...
and hot coffee to wash it down...
We all were very tired and hungry and we chowed down....Nice to have a good meal with no interruption and angry pontificating from Lt. Tragg, who seemed more miserable by the day.
"So Elise, did you ever go out with ADA Chris Garcetti/" asked Josie..
"I did...
"When he's not in a courtroom trying a case...He's not such a jerk...He's actually quite chill and nice..I was surprised...He's a perfect gentlemen too...
I think he's been stalking me...He knew that I like Italian Food and he took me to a nice Italian Restaurant..
They served the best Fettucine Josie...Oh My God..." she said..
We went to Stoleys on our second date,,,
and Aqua Bar on our third date...Salsa Night...
Drank wayyyy too much and he took me home...Didn't try anything." she said...

''So we've been out three times.."said Elise...

"Liv have you heard from Gerri Williams? I was thinking she could drop these charges altogether, they seem like an afterthought in lieu of what's happened."said Rockland..
"She probably would have...but she can't with Lt. Tragg on Television every night bringing it up...It's a national story now...she has to go through with it whether she wants to or not."sighed Olivia.
"He's such a butthead....I'm going to call Captain Eddie Cantrell and ask if he can be muzzled."said Rockland.
"I haven't seen Gerri in a month...but you guys were busy downtown...I'm sure she knew that..Maybe that's why she hasn't been around...I hope she's alright."said Alfreda..
As for ADA Gerri Willaims , she was not thinking about the case at this moment..

"You know nobody asked me...but you uh should go easy on that Judge...Every night on the TV, lambasting her...The most serious charge got dropped and she could beat this aiding and abetting charge depending on what this broad testifies to...I'm just sayin...You got sued once...This woman has way more ammunition...You don't want to get sued again.."said Sam Mother..
"You're right Sam, nobody asked you."said Lt. Tragg.
Sometime later...Our doorbell rang...
"There is two police cars outside.." said ADA Rockland Cambridge..
He saw Lt. Tragg and four uniformed officers get out and begin walking towards the house..
"Oh Joy...It's Lieutenant Tragg and four uniformed officers.."said Alfreda..
She answered the door..
"What is it?" she asked dryly...
"I'm not here for any foolishness with you...I need to speak to Liv.." he said..
"Here I am...What's going on?" asked Olivia..
"Your Client...Her Ankle Bracelet indicates that she is out of the range prescribed to her...Where is she?" he demanded to know..
"We had lunch with her an hour ago...That's the last we've seen of her."said Beverly.
"Yeah ,we were under the impression that she was going home.."I said.
"I'm sure it's just some malfunction of sorts...She's never been defiant before."said Nelson.
"Apparently you don't know her history."said Lt. Tragg..
''Why don't you leave her alone? You're on her every night on the television...Her trial starts in a few days..."said Josie..
"I'm about to arrest her again on new charges..."Unlawful flight"said Lt. Tragg.
''Oh Come onnnnn."said Olivia.
"You come on.!..Your client should obey the law..."said Lt. Tragg..
"Sounds like a Vendetta to me." said Beverly...
"Good Night folks."said Lt. Tragg. He was in no mood to argue with Beverly or the rest of us.
Meanwhile just a few blocks from her house..
"I grew up just a few blocks from here.."said Elise .
"Me too! where did you go to High School?" he asked..
"North Catholic."she said.
"I went to Roman, but I lived in the neighborhood.." he said softly...
They walked inside...
After light conversation....They were soon kissing for the second time..
"Ummmmmmm you smell so good....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh just like I always imagined.."he said..
"You imagined?" she said softly in between more kisses...
