Maryland Shore

 We all drove to the Maryland shore for the week.. We rented an entire floor in a Maryland Shore Hotel..

Me and Bee Bee, Kahlil and Sofia and Jessica and Chip's rooms were near the west wing of the hallway..

"This is sooo nice..And we have a window that overlooks the water." said my wife ,Bee Bee..

"Yeahhhh that's real romantic." I said.

''We might not even see the water."joked Kahlil..

"I can imagine we won't..." laughed Sofia.

"I love these vacations...When would we have the time otherwise?" said Jessica.

"I know, or the fellowship?" said her husband, Chip.

In the middle of the hallway were  Kayla Bennett-St. Jacques and her Husband, Ray St. Jacques, Jazzy and Dabnis, Ms. Yvette and Gary and Jade and Danny Ho.

"Ouu look Ray, I can't wait to get undressed and get into something comfortable.." said Kayla.

"You look comfortable now baby!" laughed Ray.

"This is niccceeeee!" said Jazzy.

'See what having the right friends does for you?" joked Dabnis.

"Yes indeed!" laughed Yvette.. Her husband Gary said nothing, he just stared at her breasts.

Jade looked out the window and smiled..

While her boyfriend ,Danny Ho just stared at her..Noticing how beautiful she was.

and on the East wing of the hallway was Olivia, Beverly, Donnie Ray, Nelson, Josie ,Paris, Bresha and Tony...

"Ouuuuuuuuu , we catch such a nice breeze from the water here." said Olivia.

''Yeah, we do..." said Donnie Ray.

Beverly had already gotten into something comfortable..

''Stop staring at me like that!"she giggled as her husband, Nelson ogled her..

"I don't know what I want more, that fried chicken, you Olivia and your mother fried up last night or you." said Nelson.

"I think the fried chicken lost." said Josie, laughing...

"Yeah me too." said Paris..They were right next door.

"Best summer ever..Paid internship and getting to hang out with the coolest lawyers on Earth." said Bresha..

"I agree...I'm so glad I hooked up with you...I'd of been bored to death if I hadn't of." said her boyfriend, Tony...

Ms. Alfreda, Olivia and Beverly's Office Manager had found this hotel and had managed to book these eleven rooms on the same floor for us..

"Come on to the dayroom, that's where all the food and drink is guys.." she said.

"Yeah...I know you guys must be famished." said Rockland.

She and Rockland drove down later...They didn't come on the bus..They unfortunately got a room on the floor below us..

We had a day room on our floor

we had Fried Chicken...Crab Legs, Potato salad, Ribs, Corn on the Cob, Grilled Shrimp among other things.

and plenty to drink!

This was turning out to be a great summer...It was like our third vacation..We deserved it..We worked hard and we deserved to play hard too!

II-

IN PHILADELPHIA-

We were at the Maryland Shore but at home in Philadelphia , the war still raged between Petey S. and Lt. Tragg.

"YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME...YOU DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!  I WAS A DETECTIVE, BEFORE YOU ENTERED THE POLICE ACADEMY...I KNOW HOW TO RUN AN INVESTIGATION!!" screamed Lt. Tragg.

"A BEAT COP STRAIGHT OUT OF THE ACADEMY COULD HAVE SEEN THAT THAT WAS A FRAME JOB!!!!  YOU DIDN'T FOLLOW UP ON ANY OF THE CLUES...YOU DIDN'T RECANVASS....BUT GUESS WHO DID?  JADE LEE..A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR...SHE WAS ON TOP OF EVERYTHING...SHE WAS ALL OVER IT!! YOU KEYSTONE COPPER!" screamed Assistant District Attorney, Peter Smith aka Petey S.

"I'LL KNOCK YOU THE HELL OUT!" snarled Lt. Tragg..

"WHAT'S THE MATTER, CAn'T DEAL WITH A LITTLE TRUTH??" said Petey S.

"CAN YOU DEAL WITH A FIST SANDWICH?" shouted Lt. Tragg throwing a right hook at Petey S.

He missed by a mile, but Petey S. threw a picture perfect left that landed right on Lt. Tragg's jaw!

"OOOOOF!" said Lt. Tragg, who hit the floor, but not before he turned over a table and two chairs..

He got up and landed a solid punch into Petey S.'s stomach..

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!" said Petey S. , who doubled over in pain and collapsed like a sack of potatoes...

"STOP IT!!! STOPPP IT!! STOP IT BOTH OF YOU!!!" screamed Hayden King, getting in between them...

''That's what a real man and a winner looks like baby!" said Lt. Tragg, who grabbed her and kissed her in the lips.....

"WOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!" screamed Hayden who slapped him even harder than she had in court that day..

"OOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUF!" said Lt. Tragg who fell to the floor knocking over another table and chair..

The Patrons were laughing hysterically at this point... Sam Mother was beside himself..

"I'd like you all to leave, right now!!!" he said as his waiters and bus boys picked up the chairs and tables..

"I'm so sorry Sam...I am soooo Sorry" said Hayden , who helped Petey S. up off the floor..

He had had the wind knocked out of him... She put her arms around him and they walked out..

Lt. Tragg got up off the floor...he straightened his clothes out... The patrons were still laughing...

"Sam could I have some uh Ice tea?" he asked.

"Okay Artie...then I want you out....Take a few days off.."said Sam Mother..

As a pitcher of Ice Tea and a glass full of Ice was plunked down on the counter.

Sitting in the back of the diner, laughing at the whole thing was Attorney Greg Garland..He hadn't left town yet..

A Hayden King's apartment complex, She and Petey S. were making up for the disastorous  lunch date.

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm" he moaned.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Peteyyyyyyyyyyyy, ouuuuuuuuuuuuuweeeeeeeee." she cooed..

"OHHHHHHHHHH SWEET BABYYYYYY!!" he moaned..

"YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!" she cooed 

The Bedsprings squeaked loudly and the headboard slammed against the wall...

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!" he moaned...

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH PETTTEYYYYY, YOU'RE LIKE A HORSE..OUUUUU

A HORSE!" she cried out..

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW HAYDEN!!! HAYDENNNNNN..UMMMMMM.." he moaned..

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH  MYYYYYYYYYYYY GOOODNESSSS PETEYYYYYYYY!" she screamed...

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH    OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH   OH!" he screamed..

He didn't know if he was coming or going...

"PETEY!!! OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! I'M ABOUT TO CUM...OUUUUUUUU!" she screamed.

III-

Nightfall, we all went out on the town.. Gary, Ms. Yvette, Myself, Bee Bee, Sofia, Kahlil,Jade and Danny Ho, Along with Olivia, Donnie Ray, Beverly, Nelson,  Josie , Paris, Bresha and Tony Billips all attended an outdoor  Jazz Concert 

"You guys gotta hear this." said Gary, who was beside himself with laughter..

"Greg Garland hasn't left town yet...He was in Sam Mother's Diner and Lt. Tragg and Petey s. got into a fist fight.. Petey s. hit him and knocked him to the floor and he knocked over tables and chairs...but Lt. Tragg caught him with an uppercut to the stomach that put Petey s. down for the count...Then Lt. Tragg grabbed Hayden and planted a big smooch on her lips and she slapped the hell out of him again..knocking him to the floor for the second time.. She and Petey s. left..but Lt. Tragg stayed..He sat at the counter sipping Ice tea... The whole diner ,erupted in laughter..He was fit to be tied.." said Ms. Yvette.

"Oh My God...My Money was on Petey S. wiping the floor with him." I said, laughing..

"Oh My God!  Lieutenant Tragg needs psychiatric attention..he can't help himself." said Bee Bee.

"He keeps this up and nobody is going to want to eat at sam Mother's." said Kahlil.

''Sam should ban him."said Sofia.

"That's what I'm thinking." said Ms. Jade.

"Sam and his father and his Uncle go way back..That's probably the only reason he tolerates Lt. Tragg." said Danny Ho.

"Sam and my dad go way back too! They were in the Marines together."said Olivia.

"So he knew your dad was an ex- Marine Welterweight champ that night Jack Tragg came in there starting trouble." I said.

"Yeah, he knew and he knew Pop Pop was a professional Middleweight boxer with a record of 28 and 3 also at one time... Jack Tragg didn't know and got his ass handed to him and how..."laughed Beverly...

"Well let's see, right now Lt. Tragg has been slapped by this woman three times..I think he ought to take a hint that she's not interested."said Nelson.

"Yeah really!" said Josie, laughing.

"I think I would have gotten the message after the first slap." said Paris.

"Most sensible people would have." said Bree.

"Yeah." said Tony...

"I've slapped you, but you like it.."whispered Alfreda to Rockland..

"I sure do...You can slap me right nowww!" whispered Rockland.

"Hush Up Horny Toad!" laughed Alfreda....

The Concert was nice...We had seen these guys when they had come to Philly and played at Josie's Bar and Grill a few months back..

We all met up with Dabnis and Jazzy, Kayla and Ray and Jessica and Chip at a restaurant they had been raving about..

''Heyyy Guys..You'll love this food...Jazzy and I came down here years ago when we were just friends.." said Dabnis.

"Stayed in seperate rooms, hung out over the coarse of the weekend..We really were just friends..We weren't thinking about each other seriously then." said Jazzy..

"Really? Yall wasn't thinking about it?" asked Kayla..

"You might not have been Jazzy, but my man was..I'm sure." laughed Ray.

"I was, just a little bit.." said Dabnis..

"You should have shot your shot....You never know what I might have said." laughed Jazzy..

"Well the important thing is you guys found your way to each other." said Jessica.

"Yeah." said Chip.

The food at this restaurant was delicious...

 We enjoyed great seafood and wings..

IV-

ONE WEEK LATER-

"You girls were away for a week, how was it?" asked Sam Mother to Ms. Yvette and Ms. Olivia , who were eating at the counter..

"Oh it was wonderful Sam, very relaxing.." said Ms. Yvette..

'So much fun...We were down at the Maryland Shore.. We rented 12 rooms and the whole gang went down, My staff, Vettie's staff and the others..It was great..Soo relaxing.." said Olivia.

As their two platters of Eggs and Bacon and coffee came in.. Since neither woman had their husbands or their staffs in today, they ate at the counter..

"Remember when we were in law school we used to come in here and eat like this?" said Yvette.

"Yeah...dreaming about the day when we'd be big time lawyers." laughed Olivia.

Lt. Tragg walked in just then...

Sam Mother knew all three of these individuals long before they knew each other..He knew Yvette's father and mother and remembered them coming in here with "Vettie"

 as they called her when she was a teen-ager.. He knew Alvin and Marrissa Bennett- 

who used to come in here with young Olivia, 

their daughter and  their grand-daughter , Beverly

 and sometimes Alvin's niece, Kayla..

He remembered them all.. All four of these girls grew into very successful women..Attorneys...He was kind of proud of them....

He Knew Lt. Tragg's Uncle John "Jack " Tragg, the most brutal, corrupt and racist cop on the Philadelphia Police Force.. He was here the night ,Olivia's father and Beverly's Grandfather, Alvin Bennett, who unknown to Jack Tragg was an ex-Marine, An Ex Marine Welterweight Boxing Champ and at one time a professsional middleweight boxer with a record of 28- 3, with 25 knockouts..gave old Jack the beating of his life , put him in the hospital for six months and thus ended his reign of terror on the streets, embarrassed the hell out of him too..So much that he retired about three months after he returned to active duty.

Then there was Lt. Arthur Tragg Sr.  Artie's father..His childhood friend... A little more level headed...but could also result to senseless violence when he thought it appropriate.. He thought of himself a ladies man...He was a notorious skirt chaser.. It cost him his marriage to Artie's mother and nearly cost him his life when he got involved with another cop's wife..and that cop threatened to shoot him if he ever caught him in this restaurant again or around his wife, who worked here..

And of course , young Artie was proving that the apple doesn't fall, too far from the tree..He likes seeing himself on Television more than he likes doing actual police work.. Because of that, he has goofed up a number of cases...arresting the wrong man, not following up on evidence..not reading autopsy reports completely...not listening to anybody and refusing to ask for help..

As a result..Practically all of the Assistant District Attorneys hate him, other cops despise him and Defense Attorneys routinely make a fool out of him in court..

Like his father, he considers himself a ladies man..He hasn't married yet, but every single relationship he has had, has ended badly.

He walked over to Yvette and Olivia, who unlike their staff members humored him and didn't get him riled, despite making him look like a fool in court on many occassions.. He actually got along with them.

''Vettie, Olivia..you're back!" he said as he sat down next to them...

''Did you miss us Lieutenant?"asked Olivia, laughing.

"It's alright if you admit you did....You didn't have anyone to fight with did you?" joked Yvette, thinking about how  he, Beverly, Alfreda , Jade, Dabnis and Ray

 have come close to all out war in here..None of them were here today!

"Oh He had someone to fight with alright." said Sam Mother...alluding to his fight with Petey S.

the week before.

''Alright ,Alright Sam. Get me a couple of panties and some sausage..I mean Pancakes...PANCAKES and sausage.." he said.

ADA Hayden King walked in...

"Hi Olivia...Hi Yvette!!" she said..She didn't look Lt. Tragg's way...

''Hi Hayden!" said Olivia.. "Hmmmmm maybe he didn't miss us. He said panties instead of pancakes.. He's got her on his mind." whispered Olivia to Yvette...

"Hi Hayden" said Yvette, giggling..."Maybe he didn't miss us.. It's obvious , he misses her!" laughed Yvette in a whisper.

Lt. Tragg turned to Hayden..

"Baby, what went wrong between us?" asked Lt. Tragg..

''There never was any "US"...You forced yourself on me twice, remember???Petey and I are going down to the Maryland Shore this weekend.. It'll be a nice break from you...Sam, I'll take mine to go...Thank you." said Hayden..

Yvette and Olivia looked at each other..They smiled and paid their bills..

"It's good to be back home huh Livy?" asked Yvette.

''Always Vettie."said Olivia as they left, followed by Hayden.

"Broads...Who can figure em Sam?" said Lt. Tragg as he sat by himself at  the counter.
