A Face In The Courtroom

TUESDAY-   COURTROOM B- 10:30 AM
 

We were all seated in court awaiting the start of the Preliminary Hearing..  

Ms. Yvette, myself, Bee Bee, Sofia, Kahlil, Jade and Henry Lott Jr. , our client, we talked among ourselves..

"It's been thirty minutes...He's not here." said Ms. Yvette..

"Here's a first..The Prosecutor is thirty minutes late for trial." I said.

"Ouuuu I'll bet he's going to get chewed out by the Judge.." said Bee Bee.

"Oh My God...Do you think he overslept, got drunk or something? Or is laying up with some woman?" asked Sofia.

"It could be all three." said Kahlil...

Jade, Henry Lott Sr, Yvette, myself, Bee Bee and Sofia cracked up laughing..

"Imagine that." howled Jade.

"He was half soused when he came in here for arraignment.."said Henry...

"Half Soused? He was lit up like a Christmas Tree." said Yvette.

"I knew this trial was going to be off the hinges...I knew it!" I said..

"Oh My God, I'm almost afraid when he does come in." said Bee Bee..

"Me too!" said Sofia.

Lt. Tragg wasn't laughing... He was fit to be tied..

"I told him...I told him to lay off the sauce for a few days...He used to be a damn good attorney, now he's a damn drunk." said Lt. Tragg angrilly to himself..

Judge Newton Cowley was enraged...

"I don't believe this guy....I said ten o'clock am and be on time and be ready for trial.." he snarled...

11:15 AM..

''Alright..We are suspending the hearing for today....Return tomorrow at 10:00 AM Sharp...Be on time and be ready for trial ." he said.

We all filed out...

"You all can go home for the day...There is nothing else to do...I'm calling Virginia and telling her to close the office and go home for the day too...Get some rest...I'll see you all tomorrow morning." said Yvette.

"Gee Thanks Boss Lady." said Bee Bee.

"Yeah ,Thank You!" said Sofia.

"Thanks." said Kahlil.

"Thanks." I said.

"Thank You." said Sofia as we all filed out and headed for the train station.

''Don't thank me...Thank drunken bum, ADA Denver Miller." said Yvette.

"See you guys in the morning." said Henry Lott Sr. as he left court also...

Lt. Tragg watched us all leave... He was incensed... He went to the parking lot.. He had no idea we had all caught the train home..

and Henry's car service picked him up..

He was making a bee line to our office... He was going to pick Virginia up..

and at our building..

Virginia received a package in the mail..She opened it..

It was the Portal and the Burner Phone... Henry Lott Sr. had returned it.. Since the trial began...He figured he wouldn't need them anymore. He had never used them anyway.. He was up here everyday, begging her for sex. She put them up...Then quickly turned off the lights and closed the office and took the elevator down to the street..

She caught the train and quickly headed home...

Henry Lott arrived a half hour later...Too late.. She had already gone home..

He stopped by her apartment..but the lights were out and the apartment was silent... He rang the doorbell and knocked on the door. She didn't answer and lucky for her , Her car was in the shop being inspected. It wasn't in the indoor garage.. He had to assume she wasn't home.. After a few minutes..He reluctantly left.. 

She'd be glad when he finally went back to Chicago..

 

 II-

It was a little after noon...Tuesday...We had the rest of the day off...Nobody bothered to have lunch...

We all went home...

We were all at home...We rarely had a whole day off to do nothing...We all decided we were going to make the most of it.

Bee Bee was wearing a sheer see through Baby doll.....She had just taken a hot shower and walked into our bedroom..

My eyes popped out of my head..

She giggled..

"Oh my goddd..look at you...You act like you haven't seen me before......WOW!!! That boner is massive." she said and put her hands over her mouth..

I pulled her towards me...

"Let's forget about court today." I said , hugging her..

"I've already forgotten it." Bee Bee whispered..

I undressed and took her into my arms and kissed her softly....

"Ummmmmm, ouuuuuuuuuuuu you are so hard....I've already forgotten...It's about to be a good afternoon for you!" she exclaimed as she stroked me lightly...

For the next EIGHT TO NINE HOURS, all we thought about was each other..

The same was next door at Kahlil and Sofia's house..

"Come here mamasita....I want to comfort you after the disapointing day we had of not going to trial." said Kahlil..

Sofia and Kahlil were kissing passionately in the doorway of their bedroom....

"Papi you look for any excuse to take my clothes off."laughed Sofia.

as they stood in the middle of their bedroom..

"But I don't mind...I want to take my clothes off for you papi." she said.. he slipped her top off....

as he slipped her panties off!

He bent Sofia over the side of the bed and entered her doggie style..

And before long they too were making sweet love in the bed......Their bedsprings squeaking loudly for the next EIGHT TO NINE HOURS....

Ms. Yvette called Gary, told her she was home for the day...And within a half hour.. He was home.. He had taken the rest of the day off.. He said he wasn't busy..

Gary and Ms. Yvette soon caught up with us..

They began  making sweet love...

the moment they closed the door of their home.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU OHHHHHHHH GARY!."she moaned..

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH VETTIE, YOU ARE MY SWEET SWEET GIRLLLLL,LAWDDD!" he cried out..

She had remembered times when she wasn't getting this much action...When she 'd be lying awake ,staring at the ceiling..alone...unable to get to sleep! Knowing guys wanted to share this bed with her, but knowing that that was all they wanted and not wanting to have the rep as a "pass around girl"..So she guarded her virtue with care..Suffering mightily for it..Sleepless nights...sometimes getting up and exercising to take her mind off of sex.The sex she wasn't having.

That was not the case now...Gary wanted it constantly and they were putting a hurting on this bed....She found herself wanting him constantly now too!....Hornier than she'd ever been before.. and both of them steaming up their windows several nights a week..

It was her dream come  true.. She was an American Citizen, Had an amazing job and amazing friends who were like family and she was married and a homeowner...

"OHHHHHHHHH I WANT TO LOVE YOU LONNNNNNNNG TIME!!! OUUUUUUUUUU!" she moaned.

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW JADDDDE!" he cried out.

Another EIGHT TO NINE HOURS of sweet lovemaking.....It was as though we all had the same thoughts when we got home..

And six blocks away, Ms. Virginia was getting her extra dose of Judge Jetty Dukes.. He hadn't had to work today...When she called him...He jumped at the chance to be with her...

"OUUUUUUUUUU JETTY!" she cooed..

"Thank you for calling me girl,letting me know you were home.." he said.

We all made the best of our day off..

It wasn't a good day for everybody though.... Lt. Tragg had been thinking about Brenda Jordan for awhile.. He bought a bottle of Wine and a Bouquet of Roses and showed up unannounced at her door after he got off work...

He could hear the bed squeaking like crazy and the headboard slamming up against the wall..

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH UMMMMMM.." came the moans of a man..

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU HENRY!! OUUUUUUUUUUUWEEEEEEE!" she moaned..

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BRENDAAAAAAA OUUUUUUUUUU!" the  man moaned..

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm meowwwwwwwwwwwww!" she coooed..

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SWEET BABY!" he cried out as the bed began to squeak like crazy...

"That's Henry Lott Sr in there... The Murder suspect....OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" he said and stomped his foot...

He was so angry he slammed the bottle up against the wall, Wine spilled everywhere...

He tossed the bouquet of Roses in the trash.. He kicked the trash can so hard he dented it...

He stormed off in a hough.... More livid and unhinged than ever...

And ADA Denver Miller, now sober was released from jail, where he had spent the last 48 Hours locked up for a DUI..

He was released at midnight and given a stern warning and told to go home and get some sleep..Which he did this time..

III-

ONE WEEK LATER-

With Judge Newton Cowley presiding, We began and finished the preliminary hearing and were headed for trial.

Yvette, Bee Bee and Sofia did most of the arguing during the prelims...but the actual trial was Kahlil and my show...We challenged and wound up with all twelve jurors that we wanted... We figured we might get nine or ten, but all twelve was incredible.

Ms. Yvette, Bee Bee and Sofia were quite impressed and cheered us on.

Kahlil and I returned to our table the conquering heroes...

Henry Lott was more than impressed..."You guys are the greatest..." he said over and over again.. He was completely confident that we could get him off.. He was the most unworried murder suspect I had ever seen.

We got through the preliminary hearing... By now we had all heard that ADA Denver Miller had been locked up for a DUI, which is why he missed the first day....

He tried to behave himself.. The first three days he was sober and on point.. Arguing , but still losing much ground to us...Not all his fault...He had a week case and he knew it..He was doing the best he could with what he had, which wasn't much.

Lt. Tragg was frostier than most...Furious that Henry Lott Sr. had slept with Attorney Brenda Jordan, a woman he coveted himself.. He looked at him like he wanted to strangle him..He prayed Denver Miller

could  win this case...

FIVE DAYS LATER-

ADA Denver Miller , who was now drinking even heavier and making it obvious closed his case..

We had destroyed his witnesses, We had brought up the fact that there was no physical evidence linking our client to the townhouse.. No prints, No DNA and we had refuted and proven that our client was not at the scene..We had twice provided credit card, debit card information and actual film footage and times and date to prove his whereabouts all during his prosecution...

By the time we got ready to present our defense...There wasn't much more for us to do..

Ms. Yvette called Jack Broady... The realtor.

He acted as though he had no idea why he was being called as a witness..

"You knew the deceased did you not?" asked Yvette...

"I knew who she was.." he said.

"You didn't like her too much did you?" I asked.

"I didn't have any feelings toward her one way or another." said  Jack Broady...

"That's not true Mr. Broady...You wanted that Townhouse...You NEEDED THAT TOWNHOUSE...The money you're going to make from that Townhouse will not only save your business but put you back in the red again...isn't that true? " asked Kahlil.

''Well yes..but that has nothing to do with Mrs. Lott." said Jack Broady..

Bee Bee called Olivia Bennett-Alexander, Beverly West, Nelson East, Josie Boyd, Bresha Billips, Donnie Ray Alexander and Zoey Easter.. The attorneys who represented the late Mrs. Reid-Lot

They all testified about the contentiousness of the hearings  held at Olivia and Beverly's law firm

Concerning the selling of the Townhouse which she didn't want to give up and how Jack Broady was so loud, so argumentive and contentious in the meetings, which were heated enough as it was that he was actually put out of the meetings and told not to come back...

Sofia called Attorneys Brenda Jordan and Arthur Trout who confirmed Olivia and her team's story... They said the battle between Henry Lott Sr. and his ex- wife was bad enough , but having Jack Broady, who was not a plaintiff n the case made it worse.. They said all of the lawyers unanimously agreed that he be put out of the litigation and not allowed to come back...

"It was the only thing we did unanimously agree on." said Arthur Trout..

The Jury burst into loud laughter.

"Damn lawyers...They help each other out...look at em." he snarled angrily...

"You hated Mrs. Reid for holding up your business deal.. and you feared that the team of attorneys she had were killers...Killers who just might beat Mr. Lott's attorneys, so you took matters in your own hands...You killed Mrs. Reid and ended the debate entirely." said Yvette.

"You're crazy...I did not.." said Jack Broady,.

"Oh I think you did..." said Yvette.

Jade turned on the monitor..

This is time stamped.. from Street Cams and Traffic cams.. This is the morning of the murder and there is you parking your car on a side street and going into the townhouse... 15 minutes later, you come running out, looking around to see if anybody saw you...

"So what? That proves nothing." snarled Jack Broady..

"That's you in the crowd, watching the body come out on a stretcher and slipping off before you can be interviewed..."said Yvette..

"Mrs. Reid was killed with a .22 handgun.. Two shots to her chest...One shot punctured her heart...You have a .22 handgun registered to you... The D.A.'s office with a warrant is going to obtain that gun and I'm certain, a ballistics test will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt...that you sir are the murderer.." I said.

"It won't prove a damn thing... I want a lawyer.." snarled Jack Broady..

"That's a very good idea." said Yvette.  "The Defense rests." she said.

"Oh My God, Jack" said a shocked Henry Lott Sr.

IV-

ONE DAY LATER-

"Has the jury come to a decision?" asked Judge Newton Cowley..

"We have your honor." said The Jury Foreman..

He passed the sealed verdict to the baillif, who gave it to the Judge...

He read it and frowned.

"Read it Bailiff" he said.

"IN THE MATTER OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA VS. HENRY LOTT SR.

ON THE COUNT OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER...WE FIND THE DEFENDENT..NOT GUILTY!" he said.

Henry Lott smiled wryly and looked at Lt. Tragg..

As usual, he was livid..

"NEVER HAD ANY DOUBT AS TO THE OUTCOME OF THIS TRIAL....Yvette, excellent job...Check your bank accounts..There will be a nice bonus in it for you all." said Henry..

''Well Thank you." she said.

"Thank You." I said.

"Thank You." said Bee Bee.

"Awwwww Thanks!" said Sofia.

"Thanks man!" said Kahlil.

''So what will you do now?" asked Jade.

''Well, I'm meeting with Brenda Jordan and Mr. Trout on Monday and voiding that contract between Jack Broady and me.. I doubt that he'll be able to do anything about it.. He'll be looking for a good defense attorney...Then Tuesday Morning.. I'll be on my way back to Chicago where I'm moving my operations... I'll never forget you guys...You're the greatest...." he said. "Tell Virginia...I said goodbye." he said and walked away..Soon he faded into the crowd...

He paid his fee to McCluskey/Cozen/Connor and Pratt and of course we got paid our percentage..

He gave all of us 1.5 million a piece in our personal bank accounts...

and Ms. Virginia enough money to put down on a house...He wasn't so bad after all....

It was going to be a good weekend for us... Our homes would be paid off and we'd all have new cars within the coming year. 

Lt. Tragg was still angry about the outcome of the trial... He decided to give Brenda another try...He was certain Henry Lott Sr. was gone..

He was wrong..

Henry Lott Sr. had stopped by Brenda's condo one last time before he left for Chicago for one last send off.

"UMMMMMMPH...OUUUUUUUUUUUU!" he moaned. He had his hands deep into her panties now..She was so horny, she could take no more...

Spreading her across the sink and entering her doggie style...

"I WILL...I SWEAR, I WILL!" she cooed. "OUUUUUUUUUUUUU I WILL....OH MY GOODNESS...OUUUUUUUU!" she screamed out, both of her hands slamming down hard and her head turning from side to side.

"WOOF!" he barked.

"MEOWWWWWWWWWWW!" she cooed.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOD!" he moaned.

"I'm A FREE MAN...NO THANKS TO THAT IDIOT TRAGG!" he said.

"DON'T TALK ABOUT HIM NOW!!!" She cooed.

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW LAWWWWWWWWD! " he moaned.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUU HENRY!" she cooed.

A good NINE TO TEN HOURS SLIPPED BY

The bed was squeaking so loud...it sounded as if it might come apart...

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW LAWWWWWWWWD! " he moaned.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUU HENRY! HENRY...HENRYYYYYY OUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!" she cooed.

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW LAWWWWWWWWD!  THIS IS SOOOOOO GOOOOD! OUUUU!" he moaned.

An Angry Lt. Tragg yelled out..

"WHORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRE!" and jumped up and down angrily before he  stormed off.....

''What the hell was that?" asked Brenda, now cuddled in Henry's arms..

''Sounded like a wild animal... A Jackass or something." said Henry.

They both laughed as they drifted off into a quiet sleep.

EPILOUGE-

Jack Broady was arrested, charged and convicted of First Degree Murder and sentenced to Life.

Another Monday after trial...We were in our conference room /law library

"A few more cases like this and we can all retire eh?" said Ms. Yvette.

"What would we do for fun huh?" said Ms. Jade laughing..

''It has been fun working with you Ms. Yvette...We've had some pretty great cases.I can't imagine working anywhere else and having this much fun." I said.

"It has been quite a ride.. I'm so glad I hooked up with you Ms. Yvette."said Bee Bee.

''And to think...Bee and I almost took a job at Georgetown.. My Mother and Bee Bee's mother love you and they told us "WE'D BETTER SIGN WITH YOU!" laughed Sofia..

''Me and Keith knew we were signing with you.." said Kahlil...

"I must admit... I didn't start having fun until I met you five guys." said Yvette..

"FOOD IS HERE!" said Ms. Virginia..

Hot Dogs and Cokes from Jakes  arrived...

Ms. Yvette raised a coke..

"TO US!! AND MORE GREAT CASES!" she said..

Me, Bee Bee, Sofia, Kahlil, Jade and our newest team member, Virginia all raised a coke and said,

"TO US!"
