The Next Morning....The smell of pancakes and sausage wafted through the building... Eddie C. , Duke and Tyriq...got up and began cooking ad preparing plates...

We had completely destroyed Frank White and Jake "Greasy Thumb" Gaskins operations and had crippled Don Dada's to the point that he either had to regroup ,which for him might take a year or two or decide to retire...

The only Syndicate we hadn't hurt was Baby Dave Gillis...He was considered too small an operator for us to even worry about at this point...

Duke began to weave a tale...

"You hit the hammer on the nail Top....That's exactly what this is....All this time..We thought Big Uncle was trying to make a move on Philadelphia and we've been snookered...Yeah ,he sent Frenchie Robinson out here and told him to stake out new territory, but that was the lie he told him.....He set him up for a hit....One of our four guys took that contract ."said Duke..

"You mean one of these four guys was working for Big Uncle...?"said Jimmy...

''Working with him Junior..One of these four guys did him a favor and hit Frenchie in exchange for something, but I'm not sure what.."said Duke..

''Well we can be pretty certain it wasn't Jake "Greasy Thumbs"Gaskins or Frank White..They're both dead..."said Tyriq...

"Whoever hit Frenchie... Chopped the thumb off and dropped him in the water for everybody to see....To make it look like Greasy Thumbs did it...So we'd arrest him....At least two of those other three voted to hit him...as a sort of uh good will offering to Big Uncle..."said Sirena..

''And I'm guessing Frank White , the most lethal and Ruthless of them got the contract...."said Angie...

"Only somebody......One of the two left...gave Greasy Thumbs a heads up that somebody was going to hit him..."said Hop..

''And if you come for Greasy Thumbs...He's going to come for you."said Sissy.."So he did a pre-emptive strike....He hit Frank White first...."said Sissy..

''And we got a call telling us where to be....Just in time for us to roll up on it...and unfortunately kill Jake "Greasy Thumbs.."Thus eliminating two rivals..."said Carlotta..

"And it all fits...Carol and I were building a credible case against several of them...but we got a slew of anonymous tips that put us right where we needed to be...."said Sharon...

"Baby Dave..He's the only one , the only one who didn't get stung by this at all..."I said..

"Maybe, but he's small potatoes...amongst the four....We traced all of the calls to North Philly, That's Don Dada territory...." said Sissy...

"And all of the tips were on Greasy Thumbs and Frank White's people...We just got lucky and got Don Dada's people...but we didn't get him or Chick.."said Sharon...

"It's got to be one of them....Don Dada or Baby Dave...but one of them took a contract for Big Uncle..." said Duke..

"It all began in Detroit and it all begins with a woman..."said Duke..

"Her name is Regina...

And she is a gorgeous woman.....She fascinated Big Uncle....He left his wife and family for her...He moved her into a plush townhouse

"The man plays chess while everyone else plays checkers..."I said.

"So with French Robinson dead....I suppose he and Regina got back together huh?" said Hazel..

Duke grew somber...

"You don't betray Big Uncle...and live to talk about it...Regina went missing,shortly after Big Uncle returned to Detroit ..While I was in Detroit , they found a woman's body buried in the park..

She had been dead for at least a month....She had been strangled and then shot a number of times...A plastic bag had been put over her head and she was stripped nude and dropped in a six foot hole and covered up....

The body was badly decomposed when they found it...She was identified by dental records.... Her murder remains unsolved....but it's a pretty good guess that she was killed on orders from Big Uncle..

The car he bought her was in front of the condo she was living in, with the keys still in the ignition...And this guy has the best alibi....Guess where he was when his girl vanished..?" asked Duke..

"With the cops?" asked Carlotta..

''Damn Top...You're two for two today...You hit the hammer on the nail...He was at the Policeman's ball....With several hundred Detroit coppers as his alibi..." said Duke..

"Damn,like I said...The Man plays Chess while every one else plays checkers.." I said.

"Maybe....but just this time...He may have slipped up!" said Sissy.

''So now the question remains....Which one of our playmates... Baby Dave or Don Dada carried out the hit for Big Uncle..?" asked Sirena..
